The Deep State Comes Out Of The Shadows

by John Merline { } ~ Two news stories published over the weekend had the same message. The State Department was out to get President Donald Trump after suffering years of “frustration.”… At least these denizens of the deep state are being honest. Politico’s 2,000-word story – titled “The Revenge of the State Department” – begins by reporting on the fact that “current and former Foreign Service officers have defied Trump administration orders and trudged to Capitol Hill to testify before House committees investigating whether to impeach the president.” These officials, the story says, are “furious,” “terrified,” “incredulous,” “disappointed,” “fed up,” “livid,” with a “deep well of resentment,” in an “unbearable” situation. Some of them, Politico reports, are using the hearings as a “platform to air long-held grievances over Trump.” And their colleagues are “hailing them as heroes.” What, exactly, are these career State Department bureaucrats angry about? They’re mad that several of them “were demoted or sidelined following attacks by the conservative media.” They complain about what they see as Trump’s “dangerous brand of diplomatic malpractice.” They’re upset that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo didn’t publicly support Marie Yavonovitch after Trump removed her from her post as U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, and that Pompeo “is willing to sell out the department to keep favor with Trump.” They’re also enraged that Pompeo gave a speech to the American Association of Christian Counselors and talked openly about the importance of his faith. That, according to Politico, “troubled many diplomats.”…

scumbag-Adam Schiff’s “Media Leaks to Frame Impeachment Narrative Are False”

by sundance{ } ~ Representative John Ratcliffe appears with Martha MacCallum to discuss the ongoing closed-door testimony… from officials upset about President Trump’s unorthodox approach to foreign policy.  Mr. Ratcliffe notes the purposeful leaks from Chairman scumbag-Adam Schiff and his Lawfare staff to their aligned media scribes are intentionally false by design.  VIDEO:

Lawless Democrats won’t let any Republicans see the transcripts

By S.Noble{ } ~ We hope the Republicans have been bringing tape recorders into the scumbag-Schiff committee hearings since there is no other way they will be able to recall what went on in the hearings… nor will they be able to counter any lies. The Democrats have become so unAmerican in the use of their Soviet-style tactics as they roll towards impeachment that they won’t even allow Republican members of the committee to see the transcripts. Democrats are lawless as people can see in their treatment of the border and any number of issues, but their refusal to be fair in any way during the impeachment process is what you would expect from the Soviets. They have given Republicans and the President no rights whatsoever in the process which they make up as they go along. They won’t give them the right to call witnesses as they stack the deck with disgruntled employees. They will not call the so-called ‘whistleblowers’ who are the main witnesses. The main witness once worked in the White House with loose lips liar-Joe Biden and has ties to a 2020 opponent of Donald Trump’s. He is not a direct witness, and he only reported rumors and information gathered from newspaper articles. Yet, he gets to hide his identity and the President is not allowed to face his accuser. Democrats are falsely calling this a grand jury and the hearings, ‘depositions.’** The President has been deprived of all his civil rights. Now, the Democrats will be able to hide the transcripts and make up a report based on their version of what is in them. If they are telling the truth, why do they need to do this??? Obviously, they plan to lie. There is no regard for due process or the rule of law and when these Democrats have all the power, we will no longer live in a free country. Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) said on The Ingraham Angle last night, “The reality is when you close the doors, you’re saying we don’t trust anybody but us to get to the truth. And they’re actually, the word came out tonight, they’re not even going to let these guys, members of the committee, get access to the transcripts anymore.”…

Germany’s Maas says Turkey ‘invasion’ illegitimate under international law

by ~ Germany’s foreign minister has described Turkey’s offensive against Syrian Kurds as an “invasion” and said Berlin saw it as illegitimate… But the Turkish president’s spokesman said Ankara’s forces merited gratitude. Germany rejects Turkey’s justification for a military push into Kurdish-dominated regions of northeast Syria, Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said on Sunday. “After everything we know and after everything that Turkey itself has cited as a legal basis, we cannot share that view,” Maas said in remarks broadcast by the public broadcaster ZDF. “We do not believe that an attack on Kurdish units or Kurdish militias is legitimate under international law,” the foreign minister added. His comments were echoed by other top officials, including Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer. At a conservative party congress, she said Turkey was violating the “basis of the post-World War II order,” whereby conflicts should be solved by diplomacy instead of force. Turkey has cited links between the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) fighting against the Turkish state as justification to clear its border of “terrorists” in self-defense. Since the Turkish military and its rebel proxies launched the offensive on October 9, at least 160,000 people have been displaced and scores killed. Human rights organizations have warned that the Turkish-led offensive may have committed war crimes, including targeting civilians and carrying out summary executions. Maas warned that Germany was keeping an eye on Turkey’s actions following a fragile US brokered truce. “We have been very clear that we are keeping other measures open — and they might also include economic sanctions.” According to a survey conducted by Forschungsgruppe Wahlen pollster, 91% of Germans are against arms exports to Turkey and 65% support punitive economic measures against the country due to its offensive in Syria…

Unidentified Drones Attack Iranian-Backed Militia in Eastern Syria

By TZVI JOFFRE{ } ~ Unidentified drones attacked Syrian areas controlled by the Assad regime and Iranian-backed Shi’ite militias at the Hamdan airport near the town of Al-Bukamal in the eastern region of Deir ez-Zor… according to opposition-affiliated TV station Halab Today. Before the attack, three drones were seen flying from the direction of areas under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces militia, according to Step News, a news agency founded by Syrian activists and journalists. At noon, explosions were heard at the Hamdan airport. Ambulances were sent to the airport, but the number of causalities is unknown.  Iranian-backed militias in Al-Bukamal have been targeted by airstrikes multiple times in the past year.  Syrian forces and Iranian-backed militias began transferring equipment and materials to Al-Bukamal for the purpose of building bridges across the Euphrates River, according to local news outlet Deir ez-Zor 24. International coalition aircraft intensified flights over the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor last week. Sites controlled by Iran in Al-Bukamal have been targeted  multiple times by airstrikes in recent months. A strategic border crossing between Iraq and Syria is located in the area. Iranian forces and militias loyal to them are fortifying their positions in the Deir ez-Zor area in eastern Syria where Al-Bukamal is located, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights [SOHR]. In September, at least 37 militants were killed in two airstrikes which also destroyed vehicles, ammunition depots, weapons and buildings in the Al-Bukamal area. Many of those killed were of Iraqi nationality. The attacks in the Al-Bukamal area have been blamed on both Israel and Saudi Arabia. “Saudi fighter jets have been spotted along with other fighter jets that have attacked facilities and positions belonging to Iranian militias,” said an unnamed source to the Independent in Arabic. The attacks targeted positions belonging to the Quds force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in Al-Bukamal and other areas near the Iraq-Syria border.  Saudi sources later denied the report, according to the Independent. On September 9, airstrikes allegedly carried out by Israel destroyed a military base in the area under Iranian control, according to the SOHR.

Scaramucci to Mulvaney ‘Resign, go to confession’

By JOHN BOWDEN{ } ~ Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci urged acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney to step down and “go to confession”… after a tumultuous week for the Trump administration. During an appearance on CNN’s “New Day,” Scaramucci was asked by anchor John Berman what advice he would give to Mulvaney after the chief of staff appeared to admit to the existence of a quid pro quo between President Trump and Ukraine’s president over the issues of military aid and an investigation into former Vice President loose lips liar-Joe Biden.”If I were giving Mick Mulvaney advice, if I were him I would resign, I would get myself a really good lawyer, because you’re going to have to explain a lot of things,” Scaramucci said. “What I would say to Mick, is, you’re a good Catholic — resign, go to confession, OK, then let’s rebuild your career from here,” he added.Scaramucci, who served just ten days in the Trump administration before himself resigning after an explosive tirade to a reporter was published, has in recent weeks become a vocal critic of the White House amid Democrats’ impeachment inquiry over the growing Ukraine scandal. In August, he said it was “pretty obvious” that he would not support Trump’s reelection while accusing the president of sounding “nonsensical” before the American public. Critics of the White House argue that Trump’s attempts to persuade Ukraine’s president to investigate loose lips liar-Biden represent an abuse of power and an attempt to spur a foreign power to interfere in a U.S. election.

Calling America Racist While Ignoring Chinese Slavery

Arnold Ahlert:  “In the NFL, they got a bunch of old white men owning teams and they got that slave mentality. And it’s like, ‘This is my team. You do what the f—k I tell y’all to do. Or we get rid of y’all.’” —LeBron James, December 2018

Like so many American leftists, LeBron James is quite comfortable with the idea that America is an inherently racist country that must forever atone for its legacy of slavery. Most of the Democrat presidential candidates take it one step further and support reparations for slavery, as in the idea that those who never participated in the practice should compensate those who never experienced it.Yet if there is any lasting legacy of racism going forward, the lion’s share of it is owned by the Democrat Party. That history includes ties to Jim Crow laws and the Ku Klux Klan, as well as 20 Democrat platforms that either supported segregation outright or were silent on the subject from 1868 through 1948. It also includes opposition to the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the Constitution, banning slavery, guaranteeing due process and equal protection to former slaves, and granting black Americans the right to vote, respectively. All of this is historically undeniable.Even more undeniable? The reality that slavery was abolished 154 years ago.In America. What about China? According to the Global Slavery Index, as many as 3.8 million people there live in slave-like conditions. Moreover, the website adds, forced-labor conditions “have been documented in electronics factories supplying major brands such as Apple, Acer, HP, and Sony, among many others.”What other companies use slave or forced labor? A $3 trillion apparel and footwear industry that employs an estimated 60 million to 75 million people who are paid very little — or nothing at all. A 2018 report produced by the nonprofit KnowTheChain offers details: “Workers have been found to be at risk of forced labor in the picking of cotton, harvesting of rubber, on cattle ranches used for the production of leather, in the farming of silk cocoons, the spinning of yarn, and in the manufacturing of apparel and footwear.”Until it ostensibly cleaned up its act in 1998, Nike  reportedly used sweatshops and child labor to make its footwear. Unfortunately, an August 2017 article published by the Quartz website stated that “Nike’s sweatshop problem is threatening a comeback,” including claims that “workers at a Nike contract factory in Hansae, Vietnam, suffered wage theft and verbal abuse, and labored for hours in temperatures well over the legal limit of 90 degrees, to the point that they would collapse at their sewing machines.”In 2016, LeBron James’s business partner, Maverick Carter, implied that James’s 2015 deal with Nike was in excess of $1 billion — easily surpassing the 10-year, $300 million deal fellow NBA player Kevin Durant signed with Nike in 2014. Ironically, James began wearing Nike sneakers with the word “equality” stitched on the heel during 2017-2018 NBA season as a protest — against the policies of American President Donald Trump.Fox Sports Radio host Clay Travis wasn’t buying it. “LeBron James is selling a tennis shoe with equality written on the back of it, which is made by slave labor overseas,” he noted. “The irony of this decision is mind-blowing.”Not really. Leftists’ one-sided obsession with reparations and slavery is much like their one-sided obsession with global warming: focus their rage at an America leading  the world in greenhouse-gas reductions, while giving China, a.k.a. the world’s largest polluter, a pass.Despite such overt hypocrisy, reality intrudes. “U.S. Customs and Border Protection accuses Hetian Taida Apparel Co. in China’s Xinjiang province of using forced or prison labor, and last month the agency banned U.S. imports of the company’s garments,” Wall Street Journal columnists Jianli Yang and Lianchao Han report. “It’s a first step, but the U.S. should go much further. China, the world’s largest cotton producer, has built the world’s largest prison system to provide the labor needed to sustain cotton production.”Jainli and Liancho also reveal that China has “the most expansive and intrusive surveillance system in the world in Xinjiang, making the province essentially an open-air prison.” And when the communist government fully employs the Social Credit Rating system it will forcibly impose on its people beginning next year?Last May, Trump administration Assistant Secretary of Defense Randall Schriver accused Beijing of putting more than a million minority Muslims in “concentration camps” the Chinese describe as vocational education training centers. Sayragul Sauytbay, a teacher who escaped from China and was granted asylum in Sweden, offers a  firsthand account of those “education centers.” “Twenty prisoners live in one small room,” she reveals. “They are handcuffed, their heads shaved, every move is monitored by ceiling cameras. A bucket in the corner of the room is their toilet. The daily routine begins at 6 A.M. They are learning Chinese, memorizing propaganda songs and confessing to invented sins. They range in age from teenagers to elderly. Their meals are meager: cloudy soup and a slice of bread.”Nonetheless, when LeBron was venting his anger at NFL “slave owners,” he offered nothing but praise for NBA commissioner Adam Silver. “He doesn’t mind us having … a real feeling and to be able to express that.”When it really counted, Silver himself was not so expressive. “It is inevitable that people around the world — including from America and China — will have different viewpoints over different issues,” Silver cravenly stated in response China’s reaction to Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey’s support for Hong Kong protesters. “It is not the role of the NBA to adjudicate those differences.”Yet some adjudication is “more equal” than others: the same NBA moved its All-Star game out of North Carolina in response to what the league described as North Carolina’s H2 “anti-LGBT” bill because it required schools and public facilities containing single-gender bathrooms to only allow people of the corresponding birth-certificate sex to use them. In a statement, the league bemoaned the “climate created by HB2.”The “climate” created by a communist government that relegates millions to a life of slave labor? Full speed ahead. The Tariff Act of 1930, a.k.a. the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act, barred the importation of all good produced by “convict labor or forced labor.” In 2016, a Republican-controlled Congress ostensibly closed a loophole in that bill that allowed companies to import goods derived from slavery if domestic production couldn’t meet demand for those goods.Yet somehow, America still managed to reach a record-setting $419 billion trade deficit in 2018 with the world’s leading slave state.“The last thing the NBA, Disney, Apple, Nike and the rest of the ‘megas’ want is competition,” explains columnist Daniel Greenfield. “What they want is a walled garden tended by a kindly Zen-Communist tyrant who will give them a virgin territory in exchange for a huge slice of the pie to be shared with local political partners.”And useful idiots in America, who never miss a chance to denigrate their own nation, will be with them — every sneaker-clad step of the way.  ~The Patriot Post
