Impeachment dam breaking as Pulosi deputies tip hand: ‘We’ve already begun’

by Alex Pappas

{ } ~ While House Speaker Nancy Pulosi is urging caution and patience in response to those in her party clamoring for impeachment proceedings against President Trump… her top deputies are signaling it’s only a matter of time before they begin. South Carolina Rep. scumbag-Jim Clyburn, the third-highest-ranking Democrat in the House, said in an interview Sunday that he believes impeachment proceedings ultimately will be launched against Trump at some point in the future. He suggested Democrats are already laying the groundwork in Congress. “I think we’ve already begun,” scumbag-Clyburn said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “We’ve got all of these committees doing their work, we’re having hearings.”He added: “We do believe that if we sufficiently, effectively educate the public, then we will have done our jobs, and we can move on an impeachment vote and it will stand, and maybe it will be what needs to be done to incent the Senate to act.” Last week’s public statement from Robert Mueller, the special counsel who led the Russia investigation, emphasizing that his report did not exonerate the president of obstruction of justice accusations has triggered an avalanche of calls from Democrats to begin impeachment. In a radio interview last week, House Judiciary Committee Chairman scumbag liar-Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., whose committee would lead impeachment proceedings, said “there certainly is” justification for Congress to begin impeachment proceedings against Trump, but said it was critical for the American public to be on board before launching the process…

3 Things to Know About a Disaster Spending Bill Conservatives Couldn’t Stop

by Rachel del Guidice

{} ~ A $19.1 billion disaster aid bill that faced significant opposition from conservative Republicans passed the House on Monday evening by a lopsided vote of 354-58… Only Republicans voted against the measure, which includes funding in the aftermath of hurricanes, wildfires, and other storms as well as money to help Puerto Rico rebuild from hurricane damage in 2017. President Donald Trump is expected to sign the spending bill. House Majority Leader scumbag-Steny Hoyer of Maryland, the House’s No. 2 Democrat, tweeted Monday night that he hoped Trump would “sign it swiftly into law.”Here are three things to know about the bill, which amounts to more than four times what Trump previously requested to construct a wall or other barriers at the southern border. 1. Conservatives Stalled It 2. Unrelated Funding 3. No Wall Funding…

Robert Mueller’s Career: A Litany of Lies

by Robert Mueller proved he is nothing more than a partisan hack at last week’s press conference where he announced his retirement from the Special Counsel… His speech made it very clear he wants President Trump impeached, despite his report citing the President did not overwhelmingly commit obstruction of justice. After Mueller’s speech we took a look back at his career and discovered his pension for being a high powered legal hitman with a long history of targeting innocent people. His career is an interminable and sordid list of destructive lies and legalistic assassination. In today’s culture war, we call it lawfare- the practice of ruining people with false accusations, exorbitant legal costs, and reputational homicide. For Mueller, it’s all in a day’s work. In 2018, Representative Louis Gohmert (R-TX) wrote the following about his experience with Mueller for ZeroHedge, “Each time I prepared to question Mueller, the more concerned I became about his ethics and behavior. As I went back to begin compiling all of that information to recount personal interactions with Mueller, the more clear the picture became. At one point I had to stop adding to this compilation or it would turn into a far too lengthy project.” In 2001, Mueller was appointed head of the FBI by President George W. Bush. He began in this capacity by making himself one of the major voices making the claim that Saddam Hussein was curating a huge arsenal of WMDs. You’ll remember, of course, that the terrorists who we were told destroyed the towers on 9/11 came from Afghanistan, and that their leadership was based there as well. Nevertheless, thanks in part to Bob Mueller, our forces were sent straight to Iraq- for reasons that are still not entirely clear. You’ll remember also, that Mueller was a part of the same team who told us the official story of 9/11, which today, is refuted by hundreds of architects, engineers, and witnesses…

scumbag/liar-Clinton’s Campaign Has Not Responded in 18 Months to Senate Judiciary Committee’s Request For Documents and Answers About Dossier

by Roger Williams

{ } ~ It has been 18 months since the American people learned that scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton and the DNC paid for the phony Russia dossier that was used to spy on Donald Trump… during the 2016 presidential election, yet scumbag/liar-Hillary still hasn’t answered any questions about the scandal. scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton even tried to hide the payments to Christopher Steele by funneling payments to him through her campaign’s law firm, Perkins Coie who in turn paid oppo research firm Fusion GPS — Fusion GPS then hired Steele to compile the dossier. In January of 2018, the Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Grassley at the time, sent Joel Benenson, the Chief Strategist for ‘scumbag/liar-Hillary for America’ a letter demanding answers about the funding and motivation behind the dossier. Senators Grassley and Graham asked Mr. Benenson to respond to 12 questions about scumbag/liar-Hillary and her campaign’s involvement in commissioning the Steele dossier. “Prior to the Washington Post ‘s article in October of 2017, were you or anyone else at scumbag/liar-Hillary for America aware of Mr. Steele’s efforts on behalf of the scumbag/liar-Clinton campaign to compile and distribute allegations about Mr. Trump and the Russian government? If so, when and how did you first learn of his activities on the campaign’s behalf? Please provide all related documents.” the lawmakers demanded a year and a half ago… Why isn’t there any actions taken against her and company.

Israeli air strike kills 10 Syrian fighters

by Jerry McCormick

{ } ~ The war between Israel and Syria is once again at full throttle. Over the weekend, Israel responded to an attack in the Golan Heights by launching an air strike that is believed to have taken out at least 10 foreign fighters… While we have not seen Israel initiate any attacks recently, the country has proven it is not afraid to retaliate against Syria when it is attacked first. Late Saturday, reports started to surface that there had been an attack into the Golan Heights. Israel stated one rocket was “located within Israeli territory.” On Sunday, Israel retaliated with a strike of its own.The Israeli Army conducted an air strike against “two Syrian artillery batteries, a number of observation and intelligence posts on the Golan Heights, and an SA-2 aerial defense battery.” Reports stated that three Syrian soldiers were killed in the attack. Additionally, seven more foreign fighters also lost their lives. Israel will no doubt come under fire since there were no casualties in the initial strike. That is not the point, however, according to PM Netanyahu. Netanyahu jumped right out in front to take responsibility for the strike. He stated, “We won’t tolerate fire at our territory and will respond forcefully to any aggression against us.” The posturing by Israel has been considerably more forceful since Donald Trump took office. Netanyahu is no doubt energized by the fact he knows that there now is a president in office that will back him up as a cherished ally of the United States. Israel is determined to prevent Iran from taking a foothold in Syria and will continue to defend itself aggressively as long as that danger lurks.

Common Core Has a Core Problem

Robin Smith: “Contrary to our expectation, we found that [Common Core] had significant negative effects on 4th graders’ reading achievement during the 7 years after the adoption of the new standards, and had a significant negative effect on 8th graders’ math achievement 7 years after adoption based on analyses of NAEP composite scores.” —The Center on Standards, Alignment, Instruction and Learning (C-SAIL) preliminary study, 4-1-2019

Uh oh. That Race to the Top money of 2012 — totaling over $400 million — that served as the bolus to prime the funding pump for America’s schools employing some form of Common Core State Standards didn’t work. It seems, the data shows, it even had a detrimental effect. But maybe it was that the money was insufficient. Right?

Wrong. That federal funding was accompanied by an additional $7 billion in Student Improvement Grants that directly targeted low-performing schools by Barack scumbag/liar-nObama’s secretary of education, Arne Duncan. Money seemed plenteous.

So, what exactly has happened? Based on data analyzing the outcome of all but four states — Alaska, Texas, Nebraska, and Virginia — that moved to adopt some version of Common Core, the 640 pages of K-12 curriculum and testing mandates from 2010-2013 that was promised to produce academic gains, kids’ education actually suffered.

It seems, according to a longitudinal study, that students not only failed to make gains but tracked with “troubling” results showing “the magnitude of negative effects tend to increase over time.”

Specifically, after billions of dollars spent on new textbooks, new curriculum, and a new world of aggressive and frequent testing — along with the hours of work devoted to the change required of our teachers and students — the declines in performance measured for 4th-grade reading and 8th-grade math reached statistical significance.

That means the results are scientifically sound and can be replicated using data, measurement, and objective means. Bottom line, Common Core cost American taxpayers dearly and was a headache for teachers who dealt with teaching tests and taking tests instead of mastering academic information. But students were the biggest losers with a measurable decline in scores not just looking at reading and math in K-12 but, according to The Federalist’s Joy Pullman in a November 2018 piece, both ACT and SAT scores reflected similar declines: “Students’ readiness for college-level English was at its lowest level since ACT’s creators began measuring that item, in 2002. Students’ preparedness for college-level math is at its lowest point since 2004.”

But is the media reporting the failure of another attempt to reconfigure public education? Are parents up in arms that proficiencies are still lagging after more promises and programs? Oh, no. The crisis is that President Donald Trump’s Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has the audacity to ask questions like the following in searching for a better way to approach preparing our children academically:

Why do schools close in the summer?

Why are schools assigned by your address?

Why do students have to go to a school building in the first place?

Why is choice only available to those who can buy their way out? Or buy their way in?

Why do we limit what a student can learn based upon the faculty and facilities available?

These were just a few of the questions asked by Secretary DeVos in a January speech at the American Enterprise Institute for a conference themed, “Bush-scumbag/liar-nObama School Reform: Lessons Learned.”

Americans have been taxed hundreds of billions of dollars for the purpose of public education under the guise that the U.S. Department of Education, created by the Carter administration, is the authority on educational excellence. DeVos’s comments reflect the hard truth that federal mandates, federally required testing, and federal standards to get federal money are tied to power that originates in Washington, DC, when parents working directly with teachers to provide the best options for their children are the ones who know best.

It’s 2019. America was told in 2000 that No Child Left Behind was the program to get our kids academically prepared for their futures. In 2008, the idea was the rigor of Common Core would be reinforced through new curricula as well as constant testing. And here we are, almost two decades later, waiting for some new-fangled-program to be the game-changer for students in our K-12 public schools.

Empowering parents to have more choice and control over the per-pupil-funding allocated for their child is a goal of the Trump administration and other states making reforms. But be prepared. When money is placed in the hands of taxpayers instead of a government bureaucracy to spend and steward, the fight is not about academic results. It’s about power and funding control.

That’s at the core of this critical issue. ~The Patriot Post
