Warning! Liberalism Alert! Danger! Danger!
Donald Trump Is Giving Up And Wants To Take Down Ballot Candidates With Him
Donald Trump sees the writing on the wall. He is likely going to lose. Some polls are showing Trump may win states like Ohio and Florida, but others that show he’s in danger of losing Texas and Georgia. In the end, I think he’ll win Texas and Georgia. He may win Ohio and Florida, but it won’t be enough.
Let’s assume, for example, Trump wins the following states outside of the bright red states he will most likely win – North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Florida, and Arizona. Along with Texas, Oklahoma and other red states in the south. Trump would still lose 272-266 at best. Trump, in all likelihood, will not win Virginia. That still gives Hillary Clinton a 296-242 advantage.
With that in mind, Donald Trump is putting off holding high-dollar fundraisers that not only benefit him but down ballot races:
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has no further high-dollar fundraising events planned for the remainder of the campaign, dealing another serious blow to the GOP’s effort to finance its get-out-the-vote operation before Election Day.
Steven Mnuchin, Trump’s national finance chairman, said in an interview with The Washington Post on Tuesday that Trump Victory, a joint fundraising committee between the party and the campaign, held its last formal fundraiser on Oct. 19. The luncheon was in Las Vegas on the day of the final presidential debate.
“We’ve kind of wound down,” Mnuchin said, referring to formal fundraisers. “But the online fundraising continues to be strong.”…Trump’s campaign is continuing to bring in donations that will boost the party, but the lack of a formal fundraising schedule effectively turns off one of the main spigots to the Republican National Committee. The national party collected $40 million through Trump Victory as of Sept. 30. The RNC has relied on the funds to help pay for hundreds of field staffers deployed across the country as part of its national ground operation, which is working to turn out voters to support the entire Republican ticket.
The online fundraising only helps Donald Trump. The fundraisers, help him and the Republican National Committee who use that money for helping to elect the presidential nominee but also other candidates down ballot, notably, Senators.
The signal he sends to Republican senators and representatives is saying, “If I go down, you’re going down with me.” All of Trump’s talk of “unity” is garbage. He is not interested in unity.
He is, as always, interested in Donald Trump.
