dummycrats-DNC Chair Tom Perez Affirms: Socialist Candidates The ‘Future Of Our Party’

by Jeff Dunetz

{ } ~ According to DNC Chairman Tom Perez, the future of the dummycrats-Democratic Party is socialism… The real surprise is that he admitted publicly what people outside his party already knew. In a Tuesday interview, dummycrats-Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez said that Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the surprise winner of last week’s congressional primary for NY’s 14th Congressional District, represents the future of our party.” Since her defeat of Rep. Joe Crowley, chairman of the House dummycrats-Democratic Caucus, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez has been the toast of the dummycrats- Democratic Party perhaps as an over-reaction. Her platform was akin to that of commie-Bernie Sanders promising single-payer health care, tuition-free college, and a guarantee of a federal job for everyone who can’t find work. During the interview with Press, Mr. Perez his daughters made him excited about Ocasio-Cortez…These people are sick and ill-informed.

FBI’s Peter Strzok may ignore House subpoena, says his lawyer

by Anna Giaritelli

{ } ~ Peter Strzok, the former FBI agent who vowed to “stop” President Trump from winning the 2016 election despite being part of a federal investigation into his campaign… may not show up to testify next week despite being subpoenaed. “My client will testify soon, somewhere, sometime. We just got this subpoena today, so I don’t know whether or not we are going to be testifying next Tuesday in front of these two particular House subcommittees,” Aitan Goelman, Strzok’s attorney, told CNN’s Chris Cuomo. Goelman said he could not automatically respond “yes” because the two “have come to the conclusion, forced to come to the conclusion, that this is not a search for truth, it is a chance for Republican members of the House to preen and posture before their most radical, conspiracy-minded constituents.”…His attorney is out of his mind to think that way.

‘My silence is broken!’: Michael Cohen says Russian collusion charges against him are false

by Rowan Scarborough

{ } ~ Trump personal attorney Michael Cohen distanced himself from the president during an ABC News exclusive interview… but on one point he remains unchanged: He played no role in Russian government election interference. Trump people tell The Washington Times they do not believe Mr. Cohen has incriminating information on President Trump. The Cohen fall, from prosperous Trump confidant to federal criminal target estranged from the White House, is playing out this way. He invited ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos for a no-video chat on Saturday, which the news anchor relayed to the public from notes on Monday’s “Good Morning America.” Mr. Cohen once said he would take bullet for Mr. Trump. But he told Mr. Stephanopoulos, “My wife, my daughter and my son have my first loyalty and always will. I put family and country first.”…

First Confirmed Image of Newborn Planet Caught with ESO’s VLT

{ } ~ Astronomers led by a group at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg, Germany… have captured a spectacular snapshot of planetary formation around the young dwarf star PDS 70. By using the SPHERE instrument on ESO’s Very Large Telescope (VLT) — one of the most powerful planet-hunting instruments in existence — the international team has made the first robust detection of a young planet, named PDS 70b, cleaving a path through the planet-forming material surrounding the young star The SPHERE instrument also enabled the team to measure the brightness of the planet at different wavelengths, which allowed properties of its atmosphere to be deduced. The planet stands out very clearly in the new observations, visible as a bright point to the right of the blackened centre of the image. It is located roughly three billion kilometres from the central star, roughly equivalent to the distance between Uranus and the Sun. The analysis shows that PDS 70b is a giant gas planet with a mass a few times that of Jupiter. The planet’s surface has a temperature of around 1000°C, making it much hotter than any planet in our own Solar System…

Making opaque materials totally transparent

{ } ~ Most naturally occurring materials have a disordered atomic structure that interferes with the propagation of both sound and electromagnetic waves… When the waves come into contact with these materials, they bounce around and disperse – and their energy dissipates according to a highly complex interference pattern, diminishing in intensity. That means it’s virtually impossible to transmit data or energy intact across wave-scattering media and fully leverage the potential of wave technology. For an example, you need look no further than your smartphone – the geolocation function works less well inside buildings where radio frequency waves scatter in all directions. Other potential applications include biomedical imaging and geological surveying, where it’s important to be able to send waves across highly disordered media. A team of researchers from two labs at EPFL’s School of Engineering, working in association with TU Wien and the University of Crete, has developed a system that allows sound waves to travel across such media with no distortion. It uses tiny speakers as acoustic relays to offset the wave scattering, and has been successfully tested on a real acoustic system. Their work has just been published in Nature Physics…

Judiciary in Crisis With 17% Vacancies

by Political Editors: A year and a half year into Donald Trump’s presidency, nearly one-sixth of federal court seats are still lacking judges — a total of 153 vacancies. Some of the positions have been vacant for so long that it has entered the category of “judicial emergencies,” meaning other judicial caseloads are so overloaded that those cases are no longer handled properly. The situation has become so bad that the only appropriate word to describe it is “crisis,” a term Senate dummycrats-Democrats used once upon a time when the number of vacancies reached just 68. And the situation will only become worse, as 32 more vacancies are set to occur soon, increasing the overall percentage of unoccupied benches to more than 20%.

So where does the fault lie for this judicial crisis? Don’t look at Trump, who has nominated 134 men and women to the bench over the last 18 months — more than any other recent president. Don’t blame Senate Republicans either, as Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA), chairman of the Judiciary Committee, has held 97 hearings thus far, which is far more than the average of 62 hearings for nominees of the previous six presidents at this point. In other words, Grassley’s pace is more than 50% higher than for former administrations.

The fault lies primarily with Senate dummycrats-Democrats and their commitment to slowing down the nomination process as much as possible. Even though the minority no longer can filibuster, dummycrats-Democrats have used other procedural games to stymie the process. As The Daily Signal reports, “One tactic is to force the Senate to take multiple votes on each nomination. It takes the same number of votes to end debate as it does to confirm a nomination now, so the only reason for multiple votes is to drag out the process. Senate dummycrats-Democrats have forced the Senate to take these unnecessary votes to end debate on 40 of Trump’s judicial nominations. That compares to two votes, at this point, for the previous 12 new presidents combined.”

Clearly, dummycrats-Democrats are stalling as long as possible with the hope of retaking the Senate come November. Then they can really derail any attempt by Trump to seat solid constitutional conservative judges. By playing this political game, dummycrats-Democrats reveal that they have little concern for ensuring that the needs of the American people are met with timely access to good judges. Why play ball when they can #Resist?
