Who Are Brett Kavanaugh’s Enemies?

{} ~ If you have read enough pro-Kavanaugh articles, give this one a pass. You are not going to like it. Yet if you have not heard enough, you will probably like this one… I have nothing but congratulatory things to say about Brett Kavanaugh. As with Clarence Thomas, he is a fighter. He is a gifted defender of the truth. And he is worthy of serving on the highest court in the land. I would trust my case with him and I would trust yours too whether you are with him now or against him. He believes in the rule of law. He and Justice Thomas and Judge Robert Bork, for that matter, have suffered an appalling onslaught from the so-called liberals. One has to wonder why? And why — certainly in the case of Kavanaugh and Thomas — did the complaints against them — actually the hysteria against them — come down to sex? Why are the dummycrats-Democrats obsessed by sex? Their complaints are not true, of course, but why are they made? My guess is that they have been made because on the dummycrats-Democrats’ side of the aisle they are saturated in licentiousness, and pretty raw licentiousness at that. Think of Teddy Kennedy. Every reporter in Washington and most politicians knew of Kennedy’s wanton ways. Think of liar-Bill Clinton. Every reporter in Washington, every politician, in fact, everyone with a brain living in the great Republic knows that ever since The American Spectator’s revelations of the early 1990s liar-Bill has a sex problem. Even liar-Hillary claimed he was haunted by sex from an early age. That is probably one of the few plausible things she has ever said about liar-Bill. When you come from a party whose male politicians are as obsessed with sex as the dummycrats-Democrats are it is pretty easy to generalize that sexual rapacity is typical of the male of the species both dummycrats-Democratic and Republican. Yet, of course, Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh say the charges brought against them were not true. Despite the raucous blare that the media set up on the dummycrats-Democrats’ behalf both men have made their case, and soon both men will be sitting on the court. Bravo!…

Pompeo Terminates Iran Treaty After UN Court Hands Tehran A Victory In Sanctions Lawsuit Against Washington

by Will Racke

{} ~ Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced Wednesday the U.S. will terminate a 63-year-old treaty with Iran… hours after a top United Nations court ruled in favor of Tehran in a lawsuit challenging U.S. sanctions. Pompeo said the abrogation of the 1955 Treaty of Amity was “39 years overdue,” referring to the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran that resulted in the overthrow of the U.S.-friendly shah. Until Pompeo’s announcement, the Treaty of Amity had remained in force even though Washington and Tehran have not had normal diplomatic relations since 1980. The move follows a ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) that ordered Washington to lift any sanctions on Iran affecting humanitarian exports. Iran had sued the U.S. in July, arguing the renewal of sanctions that had been lifted as part of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal violated the 1955 treaty. At a press briefing Wednesday morning, Pompeo called Iran’s claims under the treaty “absurd.” He also accused Tehran of exploiting the ICJ for propaganda purposes as it tries to preserve the framework of the nuclear deal…

dummycrats-Dems’ Sham Impeachment Plan

{} ~ Two hundred Congressional dummycrats-Democrats determined to take down the Trump presidency are suing in federal court… claiming the president is violating a provision of the U.S. Constitution. This lawsuit lays out the dummycrats-Democratic Party’s roadmap to impeachment. Friday a federal judge gave the lawsuit the go- ahead. dummycrats-Democrats are suing based on the Constitution’s obscure “emoluments clause.” They’re intent on making “emoluments” a household word. What’s an emolument, anyway? It’s a gift that could be used to bribe an official. The Constitution bars U.S. officials from taking “any present, emolument,” title or job from foreign governments. “If discovered,” framer Edmund Randolph explained in 1788, the president “may be impeached.” The framers wanted to prevent bribery and influence buying. In 1785, two years before the Constitution was written, Benjamin Franklin returned from a diplomatic mission to France carrying a gift from King Louis XVI — a gold box encrusted with diamonds. He set the precedent by offering the gift to Congress, to avoid even the appearance of undue influence or a quid pro quo. The framers made Franklin’s precedent the rule for any gifts received from foreign governments. But dummycrats-Democrats are twisting the meaning of emoluments, preposterously claiming that when Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. rents a room or party space to Saudi Arabia or another foreign government at the market rate, the payment is an “emolument” or bribe to the President…These dummycrats-dems are totally sick.

Christine Blasey Ford refuses to hand over therapy notes until FBI interviews her

by Kelly Cohen

{} ~ Lawyers for Christine Blasey Ford said Wednesday that they will only turn over her therapist’s documents to the FBI if she is interviewed by the bureau… In a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, Ford’s lawyers Debra Katz and Lisa Banks said they were “prepared” to give the documents “to the FBI when she interviewed” – even hough an interview has still not yet been scheduled and time is running short. “We have not yet heard from the FBI about scheduling an interview with her,” they wrote. On Tuesday, Grassley sent a letter to Ford’s defense team requesting “material evidence” relevant to the sexual assault allegation she made against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Grassley asked for the notes from therapy sessions in which Ford said she discussed the alleged assault. Ford gave some of those notes to the Washington Post in the interview that named her as Kavanaugh’s accuser, and said during her Senate Judiciary Committee testimony that the notes were relevant to her allegations…

NYT Launches Anti-Trump Hit Piece Over His Taxes

by Thomas Gallatin: On Tuesday, The New York Times published an article accusing President Donald Trump of having “engaged in suspect tax schemes as he reaped riches from his father.” The obviously anti-Trump hit piece claimed that Trump and his siblings used “dubious” tax methods and even “outright fraud” to greatly increase the money they received from their parents’ real-estate empire. But this is a prime example of fake news.

A lawyer for Trump, Charles J. Harder, blasted the Times, saying, “[The] allegations of fraud and tax evasion are 100 percent false, and highly defamatory. There was no fraud or tax evasion by anyone. The facts upon which The Times bases its false allegations are extremely inaccurate.” He further explained, “President Trump had virtually no involvement whatsoever with these matters. The affairs were handled by other Trump family members who were not experts themselves and therefore relied entirely upon the aforementioned licensed professionals to ensure full compliance with the law.” In fact, the Times tacitly acknowledges that the Internal Revenue Service was fully aware of the Trumps’ actions and evidently had no objections at the time — because the Trump family accountants followed the law.

Trump quickly responded to the Times, declaring, “The Failing New York Times did something I have never seen done before. They used the concept of ‘time value of money’ in doing a very old, boring and often told hit piece on me. Added up, this means that 97% of their stories on me are bad. Never recovered from bad election call!”

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders also derided the Times’ story as a “misleading attack against the Trump family” and noted that “decades ago the IRS reviewed and signed off on these transactions.”

There are a couple of points to be made here. First, the voluminous tax code has all kinds of “loopholes” that afford (especially wealthy) people avenues by which to lower their tax burden. It’s not illegal to take those deductions; it’s simply smart decision-making. So if leftists don’t want people using these tax breaks then they should work to change the tax laws; don’t blame people for legally seeking to keep more of their hard-earned money. The fairest income tax would be a flat tax, and arguably more fair still would be a national sales tax, a.k.a. The Fair Tax. But neither will ever happen because too many lawmakers depend upon advocating for special tax breaks to curry favor with their constituents.

Second, the primary reason for this anti-Trump hit piece is to re-inject one of the dummycrats-Democrats’ favorite talking points into the midterms: crying about Trump’s refusal to release his tax returns. Indeed, the Times explains that these “findings raise new questions about Mr. Trump’s refusal to release his income tax returns, breaking with decades of practice by past presidents.” dummycrats-Democrats want his tax returns so as to cook up more allegations of potential instances of tax fraud by Trump. Never mind the fact that the IRS audits Trump every year. Once again, this is yet another example of the Left’s game of declaring that mere accusations create the cloud of credible suspicion, which therefore demands an investigation. This story is nothing more than another political ploy designed to pressure Trump into releasing his tax returns.
