Trump Says scumbag/liar-nObama ‘Never Had The Legal Right’ To Implement DACA

by Jason Hopkins

{ } ~ President Donald Trump said Friday that former President scumbag/liar-Barack did not have the legal right to sign DACA… and lamented the fact that hasn’t been able to rescind it. “The Immigration Law Institute’s Christopher Hajec says, ‘The Supreme Court has to look at whether DACA is lawful. What they are looking at now is whether Trump’s recision of DACA is lawful. Must consider lawfulness of DACA itself,” Trump tweeted Friday morning.“Looks very odd that President Trump doesn’t….have the discretion to end the program that President scumbag/liar-nObama began in his discretion. That program was unlawful to begin with. I think it’s very unlikely that the SCOTUS is going to issue an order reinstating what it believes is an unlawful program. DACA Is unlawful,’” he added. The president was quoting Christopher J. Hajec, the director of litigation for the Immigration Reform Law Institute. The IRLI is a legal organization that works to reduce immigration into the U.S., and it’s closely affiliated with the Federation for American Immigration Reform. “President scumbag/liar-nObama never had the legal right to sign DACA, and he indicated so at the time of signing. But In any event, how can he have the right to sign and I don’t have the right to ‘unsigned.’ Totally illegal document which would actually give the President new powers,” Trump continued…

House Dems investigate Pence stay at Trump’s Doonbeg, Ireland resort

By Brooke Singman

{ } ~ House Democrats are investigating Vice President Mike Pence’s decision to stay at President Trump’s golf resort in Doonbeg, Ireland… claiming the move could have possibly violated the emoluments clause in the Constitution and is “of significant interest” as the House Judiciary Committee considers whether to recommend articles of impeachment against the president. House Judiciary Committee Chairman scumbag liar-Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., penned a letter to White House Counsel Pat Cipollone and Secret Service Director James Murray late Thursday, seeking information about Trump’s “apparent promotion and solicitation of foreign and U.S. government business at Trump Organization owned or affiliated properties.” scumbag liar-Nadler’s committee is already investigating alleged obstruction of justice, public corruption and other alleged abuses by the president, but claimed that the vice president’s stay at Doonbeg, as well as Trump’s proposal to host the 2020 G-7 summit at Trump National Doral Golf Club outside Miami, were “potential violations of the Foreign and Domestic Emoluments Clauses of the Constitution,” and noted that they are “of significant interest and grave concern to the Committee as it considers whether to recommend articles of impeachment.” “The Doral and Doonbeg cases are just two of the many examples of the solicitation or receipt of foreign government spending to the benefit of the President’s private financial interests,” scumbag liar-Nadler wrote. “While White House officials have repeatedly claimed it is easier for Secret Service and law enforcement to secure the President’s resorts when he and the Vice President travel, there has been no confirmation by law enforcement or the Secret Service to support the practice of spending taxpayer dollars on the President’s businesses.” He added: “The impact that the President’s business interests may have on his official conduct and American foreign policy interests demands scrutiny by Congress-as does the use of taxpayer dollars on properties or businesses benefitting the president.” … These House Democrats are going nuts, I see no action on this matter.  VIDEO:

Judge Jeanine Sideswipes Fox News – They Suspended Her, And Now They’re Planning To Fire Her

By Adam Casalino

{ } ~ Judge Jeanine has acquired a reputation as a bold and uncompromising media personality, but she just upped the ante bigtime… A former judge, she often hits issues of crime and justice hard. She’s not afraid to speak her mind, even when it’s not popular—or profitable. So, it should not be a surprise that she ruffles some of the corporate feathers of her company, Fox News. Recently, it seems like Pirro went too far, according to the network, and they pulled her off the air. Now, during a hot mic moment, Pirro admits what she thinks Fox was trying to do all along. Pirro was suspended and she claims the network was looking to fire her. Fox News has made plenty of blunders in the past. They have fired hot personalities, loved by millions, over pathetic complaints by left-wing companies. Why should a conservative network worry about obvious attempts by the left to silence facts and truth? Is Fox News even a conservative network? Why would they harass a top host like Pirro, unless they don’t like what she has to say? It’s something that viewers have to ask themselves. As the left tries harder and harder to suppress and censor conservatives across all media platforms, we need to support the voices who continue to speak their minds. And if Fox wants to fire Judge Jeanine, it would be a massive mistake.

Any Way You Slice it, Hezbollah Had a Very Bad Month

by Tony Badran

{ } ~ After a period of relative calm on Israel’s northern border, the past two weeks have seen a sudden spate of attacks and counterattacks between Israel and Hezbollah… The escalation began on Aug. 24 when Israeli Defense Forces thwarted a planned Iranian and Hezbollah drone attack from the Golan Heights. The IDF’s strike killed two Iranian-trained Hezbollah operatives in their compound near Damascus. Israel reportedly followed this operation with another, hitting components of Hezbollah’s missile infrastructure in the heart of its Beirut stronghold. Hezbollah retaliated this past Sunday by attacking an IDF vehicle in northern Israel, prompting a volley of Israeli artillery fire into southern Lebanon. The dust is still clearing, but what’s clear is that Israel’s operation reflects a new security footing towards Hezbollah that is being put into effect at the same time the U.S. increases pressure on the group on other fronts. All told, it’s plain that August did not end auspiciously for Hezbollah. First, Israel seemingly resumed operations in Lebanon against Hezbollah and Iranian missile capabilities. Then shortly after, the U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned the Lebanon-based Jammal Trust Bank, which it described as Hezbollah’s “bank of choice.” These actions mark an important shift in both Israeli and U.S. policies, which is likely to deepen Hezbollah’s strategic dilemma. For the past decade, Hezbollah’s strategy has relied on two key conditions both of which now appear to be coming to an end. The first condition was that the U.S. would continue to pay into the myth of an independent Lebanese state that exists separate and autonomous from the terror group. That indulgence has granted Hezbollah the critical freedom to operate through the auspices of Lebanese institutions like the armed forces and banking system, without facing penalty from the U.S. The second condition on which Hezbollah relied, an outgrowth of Syria’s civil war, was Israel’s general avoidance of conducting military operations inside Lebanese territory. Events over the past month suggest that these twin pillars of the Hezbollah edifice, behind which sits Iran’s designs for the Middle East, are wearing down as the Trump administration’s new security approach to the Middle East opens up new possibilities in the region. The limited skirmishes between Israel and Hezbollah this past Sunday might have looked familiar, only they reflected a shift in the conflict. In a similar incident in January 2015 Hezbollah responded to an Israeli strike on its cadres in southern Syria by firing antitank missiles on IDF vehicles from the Israeli-controlled Shebaa Farms area near the Golan Heights. Sunday’s attack was also carried out in retaliation for an Israeli strike on Hezbollah operatives in southern Syria, and followed an alleged Israeli operation in Dahieh, one of the main Hezbollah-controlled neighborhoods in Beirut, and once again utilized antitank missiles fired on an IDF vehicle—but, unlike in 2015, this time the attack was carried out from inside a Lebanese village, underscoring the shift to Lebanon as the front from which the group now retaliates. The operation, reportedly involving a drone attack, marked the end of an almost six-year hiatus, during which time the Israelis limited their strikes against Hezbollah and Iranian assets to targets in Syria. Israel’s tacit agreement not to conduct operations inside Lebanon, which was intended to prevent an escalation into full-on war, had jibed well over the past six years with a U.S. policy that prioritized “preserving Lebanon’s stability.” Unable to respond directly to Israel’s ongoing operations in Syria, Iran and Hezbollah launched a project to upgrade the precision of Hezbollah’s stockpile of missiles inside Lebanon…

ThinkProgress shuts down after failing to secure a publisher

by Mike Brest

{ } ~ ThinkProgress, a news website linked to a liberal think tank, is shutting down on Friday… The site, connected to the Center for American Progress, will instead be used as a platform for CAP scholars to post. It will no longer function as an independent entity focused on original reporting. They had been searching for a buyer to take over the company but were unsuccessful. “Given that we could find no new publisher, we have no other real option but to fold the ThinkProgress website back into CAP’s broader online presence with a focus on analysis of policy, politics, and news events through the lens of existing CAP and CAP Action staff experts,” Navin Nayak, the executive director of the CAP Action Fund, told the Daily Beast. “Conversations on how to do so are just beginning, but we will seek to reinvent it as a different platform for progressive change.” Many members of the staff will lose their jobs, while some are now employed elsewhere. The staff unionized in 2015 as a result of editorial friction, and they proceeded to try to wrestle editorial control away from senior leaders at CAP.

Crimes by Illegal Immigrants Widespread Across U.S. — Sanctuaries Shouldn’t Shield Them

  Hans von Spakovsky

The decision by a California appeals court Friday overturning the conviction of an illegal immigrant who shot and killed Kate Steinle in San Francisco in 2015 once again put the national spotlight on the serious problem of crimes committed by people in the U.S. illegally. The appeals court in San Francisco overturned the conviction of Jose Inez Garcia-Zarate on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Garcia-Zarate was earlier found not guilty of first- and second-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter and assault with a semi-automatic weapon.Garcia-Zarate said he unwittingly picked up a gun, which he said was wrapped in a T-shirt, and it fired accidentally. The appeals court overturned his conviction on the firearm possession charge because it said the judge at his trial failed to give the jury the option of finding him not guilty on the theory that he only possessed the gun for a moment.Opponents of federal efforts to enforce the immigration laws enacted by Congress repeatedly claim that illegal immigrants are “less likely” to commit crimes than U.S. citizens — and thus represent no threat to public safety. But that’s not true when it comes to federal crimes.Non-citizens constitute only about 7 percent of the U.S. population. Yet the latest data from the Justice Department’s Bureau of Justice Statistics reveals that non-citizens accounted for nearly two-thirds (64 percent) of all federal arrests in 2018. Just two decades earlier, only 37 percent of all federal arrests were non-citizens.These arrests aren’t just for immigration crimes. Non-citizens accounted for 24 percent of all federal drug arrests, 25 percent of all federal property arrests, and 28 percent of all federal fraud arrests. In 2018, a quarter of all federal drug arrests took place in the five judicial districts along the U.S.-Mexico border. This reflects the ongoing activities of Mexican drug cartels. Last year, Mexican citizens accounted for 40 percent of all federal arrests. In fact, more Mexicans than U.S. citizens were arrested on charges of committing federal crimes in 2018.Migrants from Central American countries are also accounting for a larger share of federal arrests, going from a negligible 1 percent of such arrests in 1998 to 20 percent today.Critics will try to downplay the importance of the Justice Department’s report by pointing out that the majority of crimes in the United States are handled by prosecutors in state and local courts. But even there the data is shocking.A recent report from the Texas Department of Public Safety revealed that 297,000 non-citizens had been “booked into local Texas jails between June 1, 2011 and July 31, 2019.” So these are non-citizens who allegedly committed local crimes, not immigration violations. The report noted that a little more than two-thirds (202,000) of those booked in Texas jails were later confirmed as illegal immigrants by the federal government.According to the Texas report, over the course of their criminal careers those illegal immigrants were charged with committing 494,000 criminal offenses. Some of these cases are still being prosecuted, but the report states that there have already been over 225,000 convictions. Those convictions represent: 500 homicides; 23,954 assaults; 8,070 burglaries; 297 kidnappings; 14,178 thefts; 2,026 robberies; 3,122 sexual assaults; 3,840 sexual offenses; 3,158 weapon charges and tens of thousands of drug and obstruction chargesThese statistics reveal the very real danger created by sanctuary policies. In nine self-declared sanctuary states and numerous sanctuary cities and counties, officials refuse to hand over criminals who are known to be in this country illegally after they have served their state or local sentences. This refusal to cooperate with federal immigration officials suggests that state and local officials supporting the sanctuary movement believe it’s better to let these criminals return to their communities rather than being removed from this country. Not all of their constituents would agree. The Texas report is careful to note that it is not claiming “foreign nationals” commit “more crimes than other groups.” Whether that is true or not — and it is certainly true when it comes to federal crimes — is irrelevant. What is highly relevant to the current debate about immigration policy is that the Texas report “identifies thousands of crimes that should not have occurred and thousands of victims that should not have been victimized because the perpetrators should not be here.”We know that in Texas and around the country some individuals would be alive today — and their families would not be mourning their loss — if we had a secure border and an effective interior enforcement system.Instead of trying to obstruct enforcement of our immigration laws, state and local officials should do everything they can to help the feds reduce the very real — and all too often fatal — dangers posed by criminal illegal immigrants. One of the worst recent examples of a state official who refuses to help federal immigration authorities carry out their duties is North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper. The Democratic governor recently vetoed a bill that would require local law enforcement to cooperate with federal immigration authorities. Cooper did so just days after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents captured an illegal immigrant charged with first-degree rape and indecent liberties against a child. The man arrested in that crime was on the loose because he had been released from custody by county officials, despite the existence of a federal detainer warrant for him.Politicians who declare their jurisdictions to be sanctuaries for illegal immigrants who commit crimes are needlessly endangering their law-abiding citizens. That is shameful.  ~The Patriot Post
