‘I Wouldn’t Say scumbag-James Comey Is Out of the Woods’; ‘This Is Just the Beginning’

By Susan Jones

{ cnsnews.com } ~ Reaction came swiftly on Thursday, after the Justice Department inspector general released a report saying that former FBI Director scumbag-James Comey failed to live up to his responsibility to protect sensitive information… And by using sensitive information to force the appointment of a special prosecutor, the OIG found that scumbag-Comey “set a dangerous example for the over 35,000 current FBI employees — and the many thousands more former FBI employees — who similarly have access to or knowledge of non-public information.” “I wouldn’t say scumbag-James Comey is out of the woods,” Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) said. “We’re in the pregame show. This is just the beginning,” Jay Sekulow, President Trump’s attorney said. Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas) said the IG report shows that scumbag-Comey, by leaking information to achieve a personally desired end the appointment of a special counsel “calls into question literally all of the actions and all of the decisions made by scumbag-Jim Comey throughout his tenure.” scumbag-Comey, in response to the report, bragged via Twitter that he did not release classified information to the media. And he said it would nice to get a “sorry we lied about you” from “those who defamed me.” “I think that we have rarely seen somebody so delusional and self-serving as scumbag-James Comey in public life in America,” Biggs, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, told Fox News on Thursday. scumbag-Comey will not be criminally charged for his wrongdoing, but it’s not over yet Biggs said: “Well, he might get a pass in some respects on this, but his reputation is shot to pieces…  https://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/susan-jones/reaction-i-wouldnt-say-james-comey-out-woods-just-beginning

The Jihad on Christian Cemeteries

by Raymond Ibrahim

{ frontpagemag.com } ~ Although the Islamic persecution of actual, living Christians is certainly more deplorable, Islamic attacks on inanimate Christian symbols are often more indicative of the existential hate borne for the other… Consider, for instance, the phenomenon of Muslims desecrating and destroying Christian cemeteries and their crosses. While the act itself is largely “symbolic”—in that no living person gets hurt—it is also reflective of a committed, viral hatred that transcends subjective circumstances. In other words, whereas the persecution of this or that Christian can be motivated by particular circumstances—conflicts, sexual attraction, convenience, gain, etc.—attacks on inanimate Christian symbols reflect an objective, transcendent hatred for Christianity and its followers, one that needs no “reason” and gains nothing in its expression. From one end of the Islamic world to the other—in Arab, African, and Asian nations, and increasingly in the West—this sort of hate is becoming a regular occurrence. A brief list follows; it is ordered by desecrations committed by formal terrorists (“ISIS,” etc.), informal terrorists (Muslim mobs), and Muslim governments: Libya: In March 2012, a video of a Muslim mob attacking a commonwealth cemetery near Benghazi, where WWII British officers were buried, appeared on the Internet. As the vandals kick down and destroy headstones with crosses on them, the man videotaping them urges them to “Break the cross of the dogs!” while he and others cry “Allahu Akbar!” At one point, he chuckles as he tells an overly zealous desecrater to “calm down.” When another Muslim complains that he is unable to kick down a particular stone, wondering if it is because “this soldier must have been good to his parents,” the man videotaping replies, “Come on, they are all dogs, who cares?” Finally the mob congregates around the huge Cross of Sacrifice, the cemetery’s cenotaph monument, and starts hammering at it, to more cries of “Allahu Akbar.” The same scene repeated itself on June 3, 2015: What were described by witnesses as “Salafi” Muslims—that is, Muslims who in word, deed, and dress try to emulate their prophet Muhammad and his companions—were seen destroying crosses and tombstones and digging up graves in the old Christian section of Tripoli…  https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/274765/jihad-christian-cemeteries-raymond-ibrahim

Joe DiGenova believes it’s critical Durham, FBI grill scumbag/liar-nObama over Trump spying

by Frieda Powers

{ bizpacreview.com } ~ Joe diGenova wants to know when former President Barack scumbag/liar-nObama will be questioned by U.S. Attorney John Durham and the FBI… The former U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia believes an interview of scumbag/liar-nObama “must” be conducted, telling a Fox News panel that it will be necessary in order to complete an ongoing investigation into the origins of the Russia probe. Along with his wife and partner, Victoria Toensing, diGenova spoke with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday about the release of the Department of Justice report on the investigation of former FBI Director scumbag-James Comey. “Today we learned what we already knew, that scumbag-Comey is a liar and he violated the law,” diGenova said on “Hannity” Thursday, reacting to the report released by Inspector General Michael Horowitz. While Attorney General Bill Barr will not be prosecuting scumbag-Comey over the findings, and the fired FBI chief gloated over what he saw as an exoneration, the report found that he “violated Department or FBI policy, or the terms of scumbag-Comey’s FBI Employment Agreement.”“As described in this report, we conclude that scumbag-Comey’s retention, handling, and dissemination of certain Memos violated Department and FBI policies, and his FBI Employment Agreement,” the report concluded. Though scumbag-Comey seemed to have escaped prosecution for now, many felt Attorney General William Barr may be holding off in order to prosecute him for alleged FISA abuse. In a separate investigation, a report by Horowitz is anticipated on alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses in obtaining warrants against former Trump campaign aide Carter Page…  https://www.bizpacreview.com/2019/08/30/joe-digenova-believes-its-critical-durham-fbi-grill-obama-over-trump-spying-807260?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=BPR%20Email&utm_campaign=DMS

New Census Bureau partners for 2020: Islamic activists

by wnd.com ~ The Council on American-Islamic Relations has been controversial since its launch by Hamas operatives in the United States… It was named by the Justice Department as an unindicted co-conspirator in a terror funding trial. Its leaders have been caught stating their desire to make America a Muslim nation. Numerous CAIR leaders have been charged or convicted in terror-related cases. Now, the special interest group boasts it has been chosen to partner with the U.S. Census Bureau. The Investigative Project on Terrorism reported CAIR will “promote participation in the census and advise people how to avoid scams.” The Census Bureau did not respond to a request for comment, IPT said. IPT noted the FBI knows enough about the CAIR to order its agents not to engage with the group outside of criminal investigations. Internal documents seized by the FBI show that CAIR and its founders, Omar Ahmad and Nihad Awad, were deeply involved in a Hamas-support network in America created by the Muslim Brotherhood. The group’s mission was described as “defending the Islamic cause in Palestine and support for the emerging movement, the Hamas Movement.” Nevertheless, CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad said his group “is proud to partner with the U.S. Census Bureau to ensure American Muslims are fairly and accurately counted in the 2020 Census.” “Full participation in the census ensures that American Muslims will be better represented in Congress and that their communities receive an equal share in state and federal programs,” he said. CAIR said it wanted to make sure “American Muslim communities” get “a fair share in federal and state funding. IPT noted, however, that the U.S. Census Bureau does not collect data on religious affiliation in its demographic surveys or decennial census. Public Law 94-521 prohibits census workers from asking a question on religious affiliation on a mandatory basis. In some person or household surveys, however, the bureau is allowed to collect information about religious practices on a voluntary basis… https://www.wnd.com/2019/08/new-census-bureau-partners-2020-islamic-activists/

Let Them Howl, Boris!

by Pat Buchanan

{ townhall.com } ~ Facing a Parliamentary majority opposed to a hard Brexit — a crashing out of the EU if Britain is not offered a deal she can live with — Boris Johnson took matters into his own hands… He went to the Queen at Balmoral and got Parliament “prorogued,” suspended, from Sept. 12 to Oct. 14. That’s two weeks before the Oct. 31 deadline Johnson has set for Britain’s departure. The time his opposition in Parliament has to prevent a crash out of the European Union has just been sliced in half. His adversaries are incensed. The speaker of the House of Commons called Johnson’s action “a constitutional outrage.” Johnson’s Tory Party leader in Scotland resigned. Labor Party Leader Jeremy Corbyn said Parliament will start legislating Tuesday to block Johnson. There is talk of a no-confidence vote in the Tory government. One recalls the counsel Benjamin Jowett, Master of Balliol, gave his students: Never retract, never explain, just do it and let them howl! For Johnson has done what he was chosen, and pledged, to do. Though he lacks a majority for a “no-deal Brexit,” his suspension of Parliament keeps faith with the hardline Tories who put their trust in him — that he would honor his commitment to get done by October’s end what the British people voted to do in 2016. Whatever may be said of him, Johnson has shown himself as a man of action, a risk-taker, a doer, like Trump, who has hailed Johnson for the suspension. And leaders like Johnson are today shouldering aside the cookie-cutter politicians to dominate the world stage. Matteo Salvini, interior minister, leader of the League party, and the most popular political figure in Italy, brought down his own government to force new elections he felt he would win. His ambition is to take the leadership not only of Italy but of the European populist right. Salvini’s boldness backfired when the League’s ex-partner in the government, the leftist Five Star Movement, joined the Democratic Party to form a new government from which the League is excluded…  https://townhall.com/columnists/patbuchanan/2019/08/30/let-them-howl-boris-n2552396?utm_source=thdaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl&newsletterad=08/30/2019&bcid=7220442bc3498cb5e2d68f3cb4d11680&recip=18305623

Trump Is Right on the China Threat

Ben Shapiro

President Trump’s latest foray into the world of international economics — his ongoing trade war with China — has been widely derided by his critics. It’s been derided on the grounds that there is no long-term strategy; on the grounds that the trade war will not be, as Trump has bragged, “good and easy to win”; on the grounds that Trump continues to send mixed signals, simultaneously claiming that China is bearing the brunt of his tariffs while desperately urging Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell to lower interest rates.

Now, Trump’s trade policy may not be well-considered. His understanding of trade is rudimentary at best — he still operates under the assumption that mutually beneficial trade is actually a zero-sum game. And Trump’s rhetoric may be confusing — it’s unclear whether Trump wants tariffs or wants to alleviate them. But Trump does have one thing absolutely right: China is an imperturbable geopolitical foe. And the United States ought to be taking a serious look at a long-term strategy to contain and then reverse the dominance of the totalitarian communist regime.

Trump is the only president of recent vintage to understand this simple truth. The Chinese regime is strengthening its totalitarianism; market forces have not opened up China’s politics. China’s attempts to strengthen its grip on Hong Kong, its forays into the complexities of Indian-Pakistani politics, its threats of sanctions against American firms over the sale of jets to Taiwan — all of this bespeaks the intent of the Xi Jinping regime, which has a philosophy of political revanchism. The supposed moderation of Dengism — the political philosophy of Deng Xiaoping, which supposedly prized pragmatism over doctrinal adherence to Marxist tenets — is being quickly reversed, with China’s economy placed at the mercy of political leadership. Dengism was always treated with too much optimism by the West: The same regime supposedly pushing for detente with the West stole hundreds of billions in intellectual property every year for years while continuing to build up its military. !

Still, Xi has moved away from even tepid moves toward openness.

Two significant projects in recent years demonstrate the scale of China’s ambitions. First, there’s the so-called Belt and Road Initiative, in which China has helped subsidize building infrastructure in a bevy of countries throughout the world. Up to 68 countries are already taking part. The project is designed to place these countries in hock to the Chinese government; it’s also designed to maximize China’s naval power in the region.

Then there is China’s heavy focus on government-subsidized building of 5G, using Huawei as the tip of the spear. China is offering 5G technology to developing countries at discounted prices, and those countries, hungry for the technology, have been accepting, likely at the cost of their own privacy and security. The goal, as always: maximization of China’s sphere of influence.

Free trade isn’t going to cure this. China’s government has been willing to utilize mercantilism to prop up its global ambitions. Capitalism hasn’t opened China’s politics. Free trade has indeed benefitted China’s citizens, bringing hundreds of millions out of poverty, but the Chinese government has responded with more repression, not less. All of which means that the United States must be pursuing a thorough strategy of opposition to China’s ambitions.

Trump seems to understand this. But if he fails to articulate that to the American people, his economic war with China will fail. That’s because if the American people are asked to shoulder an economic burden without being informed as to the rationale or the cost, they will rightly buck. Trump hasn’t explained that the burden exists, let alone why the American people should shoulder it.

With that said, at least Trump recognizes the threat China represents. The chattering class has, for far too long, ignored that threat, to the detriment of the United States and her allies. ~The Patriot Post
