I'm embarassed to ask for God's help. Why should He? We deserve everything we are getting. People don't learn. Over & over in the Bible it shows how God's "people" fall away from Him every chance they get. It's a wonder to me He doesn't just throw in the towel, give up humans as hopeless, and start over with a new creature. Personally, I think Dogs are more worthy of God than humans are. And then there are humans who just want to sit around and show off - but they don't want to do a lick of work. Why should THEY read the Federalist Papers? They just look into their own mush-filled heads and dredge up the contents for "discussion".

Looking back on my life, I see that everything that has happened to me has contributed to my ability to do what I am now doing. Even my late conversion to Christianity. Because that taught me what it is like to make a 180 degree change in mind-set in mid-life! Thank you for the encouragement!

PH. I suffer from the same vindictive streak! I, too, like the worm-eating judgment! Get 'em, Lord! Rebuke 'em, Lord. Silence them, Lord! Even King David prayed that God would defeat his enemies, so maybe we're in not so bad company. In fact, it's a perfectly Biblical way to pray, "Let God arise and HIS enemies be scattered." You are blessed and called by God to your leadership place in this movement. Your life experience has perfectly suited you for the work you are dong. And you have such a grea disposition for it - inspite of the bouts with dispair and weak fath. Don't let the enemy get you down! We novices who are learning so much under your tutelage depend on you to signal "BAD IDEA!" when they crop up. What comes as second nature to you, is still a work in progress for folks like me. The enemy is so clever. "Parental Rights" sound so right on! Keep the faith, Huldah! Prophetess of God! You ARE His spokes-person in this arena. Keep up the good work! A lot of us are counting on you.

Thank you, Trumpet Blast. I confess to you, pastor, that I suffer greviously from the sins of dispair and weak faith. I also seek to dictate to God what God should do: strike all the evil people with lightening or with horrible diseases (I like the one with the worms eating up the living body of that bad king); and then opening the eyes of everybody else. And we are attacked from all sides. And I have to spend time trying to keep the people on our side from embracing really BAD ideas such as the so-called "parental rights" amendment - an amendment which would turn over the family to the federal courts. And they are a sponsor of TPN!

I now remember that we also had daily Bible readings even when I was in Jr. High School. And I now understand why that is important: Even thou the verses were read out of context, and I didn't know what was in The Bible, what the Bible readings teach is this: That there is a God and God is supreme.
Do not be ashamed that you never read the Constitution before! Most lawyers and judges have never read it. I myself never read it until some 15 years out of law school. And I was one of the "scholarly" lawyers! I read only court opinions!

YES!!!! Article VII, U.S. Constitution "....in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven...." "OUR LORD" Who? JESUS CHRIST IS OUR LORD - That is what Our Constitution says! And practically no one knows it!
And those lying *******s on the U.S. Supreme Court banned Christian speech in the public square. Oh, dear Friend.....steam is coming out of my ears. As you know, I was raised in a secular home. BUT in my elementary school, we had prayer and the 10 Commandments were posted around the room. THAT was all the Christianity I got as a child. Now, those evil people on the court deny even that to other children raised in secular homes. Who knows? Maybe some of that stuck with me so that I was able to convert 40 years later?

Oren Hatch is a bit of a wus. Also, when people post articles - the articles get longer and longer, and more & more off topic, and then it's a free for all and the lessons I am trying to teach are drowned. Thanks!

Oh, yes! He is a sovereign God who works in His own time and ways! And yes, it is genetic - it's in there! in the genes of every living, breathing human being on planet earth - the memory of God and desire for His truth! I lean toward Calvanism, but don't like putting God in any kind of box. There is also the strong Biblical thread of free will! You can go crazy trying to rationalize God's sovereignty with man's free will, don't you think?

But God could open their minds! He opened mine. I was secular until I was in my later 40's. Then a series of events caused me to read the Bible (the NEB) for the first time, and then I got "hooked". Did God not set up that series of events? Humm....I expect I am revealing my Calvinist predispositions! Remember, I'm 1/2 Scots and one of my grandfathers was a Presbyterian minister. And other ancestors were Puritan and Congregational ministers. Must be genetic.

Hi, George! Yes, whenever I hear of people talking about what Scripture says to them, steam comes out of my ears. The Keepers of Our Sacred Documents" - the pastors and the Bible; and the lawyers and the Constitution (which is based on the Bible) - have failed us.

And everyone has an opinion! Listen to some of the commentators on FOX News: They spout off about things they know nothing about! And even the people who are supposed to know, the pastors and the lawyers, don't know! And what's worse, they don't want to learn. Because ultimately, their standard is not TRUTH, but comfort. They don't want to believe anything which will put them in conflict with their peers. My constant request to GOD is that He open up their minds! But I fear He won't.

George! Thank you for your lovely notes. I find I get discouraged from time to time, and need encouragement. We would love to meet you and your wife. We live about an hour's drive NW of Cookeville, but Tullahoma is not so far away. It only takes us 2 hours to get to Franklin.
So when it is convenient, we would love to meet you and wife for lunch or coffee. I'll never forget reading The Bible for the first time. I knew nothing of what was in The Bible; yet as I read it, it was somehow familiar as if I already knew the principles behind the story. And while my parents were secular; my ancestors were primarily lawyers and clergy. Well, after the Reformation they were clergy: Church of England, Puritan, Presbyterian, Congregational. OK, the box is jumping!

Where have you been all my life? We live near Cookeville, TN. I'll look up Tullahoma. But I fear it's too far away for me to badger you into forming a home church! I converted to Christianity (from secular humanism) in my late 40's. Read the New English Bible (Oxford Univ. Press) cover to cover. Got converted in The Book of Isaiah! THEN started going to church. Alas, I heard more pagan philosophy than the Word of God. And some pastors won't talk to me b/c I am a woman even though I know the Bible better than they do! The Pastors could turn this country around if they would only obey God, not Caesar. Talk later, these boxes bounce around!
