Wise Latina Woman blocks Obamacare anti-Catholic Mandate

Jack E. Kemp

Hola! From the Associated Press via America Online

Read the details at the link above.

Justice Sotomayor has blocked implementation of requiring Catholic organizations to fund birth control coverage under Obamacare. It was brought in a suit by an organization whose name seems to have come from central casting in 1930s Hollywood, The Little Sisters of the Poor Home for the Aged. This is being referred to by AP as a "temporary" move, but it still is a monkey wrench in the Leviathan Government machine, none the less.

I guess some of that Catholic school education rubbed off Justice Sotomayor, after all. We'll see how this plays out.

I wonder how many on the left, particularly at the Daily Kos, will be characterizing Justice Sonia Sotomayor as a "Wise Latina Woman" this New Year's Day. Or will the Kos-aks be using terms they typically reserve to describe Sarah Palin?

P.S. Fay Voshel, an American Thinker contributor, has this to add:

Basically, the judge is saying that monastic orders are entitled not to provide insurance that includes contraceptives, as the people are celibate.  But Catholic institutions that include people who are not in a monastery or a convent must provide contraception and abortafacients.
So the principles behind O care are not negated.  A narrow exception is made.  Thus the religious freedom issue remains a severe problem.  The Left wants freedom of worship within narrow confines of church and home, not freedom of religion in the public square.

I agree with all here that don't trust Sotomayor. It is amazing that she went even this small distance away from the Obamacare official push for making the State the object of worship and not God. But, just to clarify, that doesn't mean that I trust or agree with her.

I don't trust this woman for she is in bed with obama and  her bread was buttered by this man. She will do nothing to ruffle his feathers.. I think it was a stall tactic to take the heat off of obama care taking effect today. Her position makes her worse than dangerous.

@Phil McConathy: Yup, that about describes her perfectly. Very dangerous woman...

Don't think for a minute she will do anything to harm her dear leader who gave her this lifetime position. She is a radical progressive socialist who will follow the lead and also do everything possible to destroy our Constitution at every opportunity she is given.

American Thinker has a story about 4 injunctions by courts against Obamacare today, including this one. I didn't have the time to read them, as I have many tasks and chores at home this morning. The battle is heating up.

The blog piece, as some can see, is called "Four injuctions against the Obamacare contraceptive mandate."

Her white house boyfriend told her to do this.

Keeps the dems in 2014 from explaining why they voted to force people to pay (taxes) to kill babies (abortion).

Its a political stunt.

This is only a temporary ruling according to the article.

The government is "temporarily enjoined from enforcing against applicants the contraceptive coverage requirements imposed by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act," Sotomayor said in the order.

@Jack Kemp: Too bad no one at the GOP castle is likely to take the time to read and understand what Horowitz is saying. They all know much more than he could. The GOP needs a cleaning badly.

@Jack Kemp: Horowitz is a genius. Thanks for the link.

@Doug Nicholson: When the error page pops up, go up to the url in your browser and trim off the garbage that follows publications/ and then hit return. It'll take you to the right place: http://go4theheart.org/publications/

Jack Kemp-----It's getting to the point where the Supreme Court is too busy with traffic tickets and the like instead of things that make a difference.
