Watching the hackneyed direction the GOP establishment, the political pundits, the media, and the various candidates have gone in this primary season has been painful, yet predictable to say the least. The best I can say is we have seen the typical side of establishment politics as deja vu all over again.
Let me first say I am a conservative activist and am not for or against any one of the Presidential candidates. That is not what this is about. This is about principles and establishment politics showing it's polished and varnished to shiny gloss ability to remove the American people from the process in a way other than it was intended to be. Giving them little to no relevance in the selection process.
Throughout all of the debates, throughout all of the campaigning there has been one candidate foisted on the public. That candidate is Mitt Romney. Whether he is the right candidate or not remains to be seen. The fact-of-the-matter is, when another candidate makes strides ahead of Romney, that candidate is viciously attacked by all political sides. This factor alone shoes how the forces above unite to separate the American electorate as if we are entering the Twilight Zone of a solipsistic world. Their politically, self-contained world where it is a token "say so" given to the common people for posterities sake.
I have a huge bit or realistic news for them....most of the American voters are not loyal to a Party. Most of the American voters are becoming frustrated with politics as usual and are at the same time, becoming more educated.
How many polls have we seen where the top issues for voters are "jobs", or a variation of this? The economy. The deficit. We have heard debates with every predictable or erratic response the candidates can conjure up. Politicians and the empty media's rendition of mere subjects, not issues. Please! They are testing our intelligence again.
Other than idle pledges, empty promises backed and supported by whose views? Which Presidential candidate has stated not only what they would do, but also how they would accomplish it?
The voters have heard the promises already....over and over. We heard them in 2010 from Congressional and Senatorial candidates and incumbents. We heard how they were going to cut spending. We heard how they were going to put legislation in place to protect and grow our economy. What has happened? The Congress has forfeited their duty to a "Super Committee" on the budget, which turned out to be a "Super Failure". The current President has bypassed the Senate for his appointments and executive orders. The Congress has passed numerous bills to attempt to undo damage caused by the previous Congress, only to be blocked by the Senate. The Merry-Round-House, where they obviously meet in the middle and play ring-around-the-rosy while the American citizens continue to suffer and become meaningless.
The GOP will lose this Presidential election for all the above reasons and because they will continue to make bad choices with the Vice-President nomination. I am already hearing rumors that Mitt Romney has spoken with Meg Whitman for this position, who, regardless of the amount of money poured into her California Governor's race, lost decisively.
When is the GOP going to wake up to the fact that there are just some candidates that can never win no matter how much money they have? For that matter, when are both Party's going to realize this? Money does not mean success in politics today. It may have been true in the past, but the electorate is awake, educated, and uninterested in the overused re-runs.
No matter what Party the people belong to, they are not willing to stand idly or silently by while the powers that be decide what candidate is best for them. Nor are they willing to stand by while the Party foists candidates upon them that have instituted policies not consistent with our values, heritage, and traditions. No more taking away the precious freedoms from our hands and giving them to greedy politicians who think they are above the natural law or "We The People".
The GOP will go down faster than the Olympic Schuss if they don't wake up and wise up!
Note to the Political Party's: Do you remember this? The Tea Party Movement Has Changed Everything

Comment by James heady on February 9, 2012 at 7:41pm Republicans are progressively starting to take away more rights from the American people, even more than all the other Parties combined. What is the Republicans real agenda? By following the money trail, it looks as though they are bought and paid for by Corporate America. The Jobs bill that they have proposed does nothing for working class Americans, but everything for Corporation’s profits. Simply put it seems as though they what to make the rich, richer and the poor, poorer leaving no middle class. If they gain power and follow through with their agenda, we will all become Corporate Slaves to these Corporations. This election I agree is playing out like the last election and it will be a land slide of a win for the Democrats, not only for the President's seat, but for a lot of Senate seats as well. Republican's have just handed over the country to the Democrats.

Comment by Edmund Goodwin on February 9, 2012 at 4:26pm After I posted my BHO-negative comments, this website has now been partially blocked by my security. I'm not going to post on this blog again. Be very careful.
And consider this: If demands are made to force Ruth Bader Ginsberg to resign (South Africa is a communist "democracy" now) over her comments about the Constitution, the Hussein will appoint for life a young radical that we can never get rid of. If she stays on until we win in November, we have a chance of replacing her with a real person rather than a Soros/Hussein-bot. Be very careful.
Comment by Debrajoe Smith-Beatty on February 9, 2012 at 3:08pm I know nothing about them, but, be careful Obama is sneaky.

Anyone but Romney/Obama in 2012
Comment by Edmund Goodwin on February 9, 2012 at 5:07am So many Republicans still do not realize that their party is pursuing the same final goal as the commies (progressives, Democraps...)---that is: a massive government, global, UN run, no Constitution, useless Congress, full equality, tiny apartment housing, bicycles, no cars...
But the GOP will move toward that goal slower than the marxists. Congress-critters don't want to help America, nor their constituents. They just want to keep their cushy jobs, trade inside, get rich, and go to parties on our dime. They won't reign-in Obama nor his minions nor Federal judges for unConstitutional alctions.
After the election in 2012, we need to replace the GOP with a new party, fire Congress, re-institute our Constitution, and get this great Republic back as it was intended.
Comment by Dara on February 8, 2012 at 10:11pm I agree with you. Things start at the school board level. It is vital we get that under control and also that we get these children properly educated. I have been getting calls from a college student wanting to know why they did not teach different subjects I have been educating him on in his high school, nor his college. He took 2 political science courses and did not know what system of government we have and why.
Comment by Barry Gabrielson on February 8, 2012 at 9:21pm Dara. One of the school board members here in my district is trying to get me to join the school board.
He is one against four. I dont know how he does it. He is hated by the unions and everyone on the board.
The only way to make changes is to get a majority on the board, a majority of parents of children in the district who are not ex teachers in bed with unions. I am not an ex teacher, nor do I care of Union leaders. I care about education for children period, reading, writing, math, history. I would have all children say the pledge before starting class. Those who dont care about this country can leave, leave the classroom and this country.
I dont put up with horrible teachers, principals, Superintendents. If I were on the board, Id be firing a majority of the administration and teachers. I would reduce labor costs for all those making 100K and over. No one in the school is worth over 100K. We have a ton of employees making over 100K, many making 150K a year. Why not? The local 100 millions dollars bond helped fun higher Superintendent salaries, Assistant Superintentends salaries, principals, supervisors, psychologists. I did an audit of my school district. Wow! The labor costs out of this world. Overhead Cost out of this world. G&A cost out of this world. Perks out of this world. This is the King and royality here. Teachers make on average 60K a year in my district. With Overhead Cost added, its 185K a year. Superintendent 170K a year, including overhead, 520K. What a steal, only 520K price for a Superintentant. So why do the schools cry they dont have money? The real problem Dara is that NO ONE CARES what costs are overspent. We pay for a 30 year old on all homeowners for a 100M bond for products that cost 25M. Where do you think he remaining dollars went? You guessed it. No one cares. Its government waste and fraud, again no one cares. Newspapers wont report it because they are told by the Superintendent he will cut off news to the newspaper. So they stay silent. Community stays silent. So when they ask for more money, the community will sign up for another bond, then another. Morons, complete morons.
Comment by Dara on February 8, 2012 at 9:00pm Barry, I agree with everything you are saying to a point. There are many who do care and are fighting in their own precincts to change things. We had a candidate for school board in 2010 that we actually spent time precinct walking for. He was physically attacked by his opponents cousin and the PD did absolutely nothing. He required reconstructive surgery. All the public employee unions stand together. How many of us and anyone else reading this post are willing to stand up even at the threat of physical violence? I posted on another site, the acronym for FEAR. False, Evidence, Appearing, Real. The reason I posted it is that I live in La Raza territory, yet I fly 3 flags. The US, the Gadsden, and the Israeli. We have heard them comment as they walk by to leave us, our house, and our car alone because that means we are armed. Kind of funny in a way, but the end result is that because we are so bold, they leave us alone physically. That is why I consider the threat of violence to be false. When confronted with someone who is not afraid they back off. We all need to take action to initiate change. There is another quote. "Life Has No Remote Control, Get Up and Change It".
