Why get a job?

I just recieved a flyer to apply for a free wireless phone with free monthly charges. If I don't get a job, I can get Food stamps,Medicaid ,Public housing assitance ,energy assitance, free lunch for my children,money each month and now a free phone. WOW

Why should I get up in the morning to look for a job, why should I teach my children to train for a job or get educated when they will able to get all these free benefits. As a nation are we helping people to be responsible for themselves & there furture. Or are we just helping more people to lay back let the rest of us pay for them?
