Why Do We Need Arms to Enforce Just Laws?

Rand Paul has proved that the US Senate is not a body of the people. His amendment 2143 to rein in FDA abuse is introduced in the Senate below:

Although this amendment was defeated (tabled), it shows America who Washington is really representing. Absolute power has corrupted absolutely and here is the evidence. As usual, North Carolina Senators Burr and Hagan voted against the people. If you control the food, you control the people. This is exactly why the 2nd amendment was given to the people as a RIGHT: to protect the people from the government. An Aye vote below is a traitor to the Constitution.

It's Rand Paul vs. Armed Bureaucrats

Sen. Rand Paul introduced an amendment that would disarm Food and Drug Administration bureaucrats and accomplish several other goals.

The amendment, he said, “would disarm the FDA and make the agency stop using guns against the American people; it would halt the FDA’s armed raids on raw milk farmers; it would also stop the FDA’s outrageous and longstanding censorship of truthful health claims of dietary supplements and medicinal herbs.”

“This is a big deal,” he said. “While it may not pass … the very fact that U.S. Sen. Rand Paul has introduced such an amendment is proof positive that Rand Paul is exactly the kind of leader that can help take our nation out of the age of government tyranny and censorship and into a new era of transparency, accountability and liberty.”

In fact, the amendment hours later was defeated 78-15.

The core of the conflict stems from the federal government’s desire to regulate the food industry from start to finish. Local growers and producers who would like to sell their products often face enforcement actions for not having a proper packaging facility or following some other regulation. A major dispute has developed over the sale of unpasteurized milk, which many people consider more healthy. Thirty states allow it but 20 don’t, and the federal government forbids it in interstate commerce.

Once again , rock solid proof that Lindsay Graham is an absolute embarrassment to the state of South Carolina ! His lies and rhetoric have long ago grown old ! I sure hope the Tea Party can put a strong candidate up to challenge him for his Senate seat in 2014!

@fortunateson

Ann  Barnhardt's video makes it clear that this did not start under the Obama administration.

@Jerold

The coup against the Constitution is complete:

Good story Dave:  There is currently a coup, against the Constitution in the Senate and House. We need to make a record of those who vote against their Oath to protect and defend the Constitution and go after them hard, illustrating their records at voting time.  I saw an article where they have a SWAT Team working with the collection of Studen Loans. This stuff is always kept secret until they are kicking off your door in the middle of the night and shooting your family dog in front of your terrified children.

WHY DO WE NEED LAWYERS , LAWSUITS AND LITIGATION TO ENFORCE JUST LAWS , AND TO    HONOR THE CONSTITUTION   ?????  WHY DO WE HAVE TO FIGHT THE STUPID IDIOTIC FOOLS ON THE HILL TO HONOR AND LIVE BY THE OATH THEY SWORE TO PROTECT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION FROM ALL ENEMIES FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC ?????

WHY DO WE ENDURE AND TOLERATE THE ILLEGAL " OCCUPIER "  OF OUR OVAL OFFICE AND WHITEHOUSE . WHY DOES THE CONGRESS AND SUPREME COURT NOT KICK HIS ASS OUT    WITH GREAT DIS-HONOR AND SHAME , PLUS DENY ANY PENSION NORMALLY PAID TO A LEGITIMATE   AND DULY ELECTED PRESIDENT  ??????  HE SHOULD BE INDICTED AND IMPRISONED .

There are two separate problems being addressed in that amendment. I love what the senator was doing but have a feeling he would have had a better outcome if they had been separated. I would also like to know which of these senators is in favor of arming all of these agencies because those are the folks who need to be outed and removed quickly.  Armed agents storming into businesses over alleged violations of this or that federal regulation is a situation that is way over the line and must be stopped before it is too late!

This would also apply to the pig killing because they were the wrong color and people were buying them from him for their own consumption. Probably most of them were inspected while being butchered and processed for the freezer.

Who processes their own fish and game animals? No one needs to inspect mine. It is processed more meticulously than federally inspected facilitys do.

I was raised on whole milk and home processed food and still do it today.

Darn, we might die doing that. I'm 72 and eat all the things I'm not supposed to eat. Never any health problems.

Good article David G. Too bad the bill didn't pass.

You think this is bad?

Read "EU bans claim that water can prevent dehydration"

"EU officials concluded that, following a three-year investigation, there was no evidence to prove the previously undisputed fact."

Europe is just a bit ahead of us, again!

So, next time you are thirsty, don't drink water. It won't help, you now know!
