My husband read the title of an article that he read online (posted on facebook) to me - "Professor Wonders if the Tea Party Would Support Obamacare if Obama was White" - and I was so insulted - as a white woman AND an attorney AND a Tea Party leader - that I had to post a comment.

“Professor” Gloria J. Brown-Marshall, who teaches constitutional law courses at the City University of New York’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice, wrote a Christmas Day essay blaming “southern White radicals” for the disastrous, slow-motion train wreck failure that has been the rollout of the Affordable Care Act.  Ms. Marshall is African-American. She also wrote: “Southern White radicals vowed to stop implementation of the Obama-care law leading one to wonder if Tea Party members would oppose affordable healthcare if it came from a non-Black President.”

Let’s take a look at President Obama.  He is half white and half black. I put “white” first because his black father abandoned him yet his white mother raised him and his white grandparents helped make sure he got the best education possible in Hawaii. So while his color is darker, his young life was shaped by the white half of his family.

Ms. Marshall has no problem claiming that President Obama is “black” knowing this reality and this part of his history.  She has no problem claiming that he is “black” when he is also half white.  Yet, she can’t fathom that whites can also call him their own as well, even though he shares so much in common with them. For some reason, she assumes that because he is half black, whites automatically divorce themselves from any association.  He can’t belong to “the white club” because his skin is darker.  She assumes that people like myself think that because there is some “color” in him, he no longer be one of us.  I have never thought of President Obama as a “black” President.  I’ve always seen him as simply the President of the United States.  I’ve seen him as a President that appears to represent a fairly common trend here in the US – the product of a mixed marriage.  I’ve been outraged over the years to hear the black community continue to claim him as their very own.  Again, the black community seems to have no problem accepting the “white” half of him but is incapable of thinking the white community can accept the “black” half of him.  It’s absolutely disgraceful and the epitome of racism.

I’ve seen a great deal of white families who adopt black babies and love and treat them like their very own, yet I have never seen the reverse. Never.  The black community - and by that I mean the community that buys into the dribble that people like Marshall and Al Sharpton and other race hustlers spew - seems to have a hard time accepting the good intentions of the white community.

My question is this:  What kind of “Constitutional” law professor can Ms. Marshall be when she makes her living teaching THE LAW and promoting the law of equality while at the same time publicly accusing innocent white people of being inherently incapable of being color-blind. Perhaps it is the other way around. How can she teach about a colorblind society when she herself is one of the reasons that it still hasn’t happened and won’t likely happen in the near future.

Again, President Obama is neither black nor white, but an equal combination of the two.  That’s right… equality. So maybe “professors” like Ms. Marshall should stop playing the race card when it comes to our President.

Now, back to the point of this blog.
Racism-definition: A belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule over others.

The US has proven that we are going in the right direction. Obama didn't get into office by black votes only, a lot of white people believed his trash. Fraud also helped. Common sense would say, don't ever vote for a black man again, but I for one would vote for a Allen West/Rand Paul ticket in a heart beat. All people of this country, whatever color, needs to get back to common sense and the Christian religion that our country was built on. We are heading for a moral abyss. The Democrats voted God out of their 2012 Convention, heads up?? PEOPLE get back to the church of your choice. Also, remember, any man can father a child, it takes an adult to be a good father.

I heartily recommend Marx and Satan, by Richard Wurmbrand.  He makes an intriguing case for Marx being not an atheist, but and out-and-out satanist, whose real goal was to destroy society.  The concept goes a long way to explain why Marxism is so morally damaging.

Oh yes it encourages immorality as well, until the population is debilitated with disease and their senses, whether physical, mental and spiritual are deadened - and the population is subdued.

Conservative organizations have to come together to fight what is going on - the new IRS proposed regulations have put the target on US, not liberal groups, but grassroots conservative groups. We need to pray, and we need to come together to fight them. Socialism breaks many commandments - it encourages envy, stealing, disrespect of those less physically able, like the elderly and encourages murder - with abortion - and with those that get in the way of "progressivism" It also encourages lying and bribery and cheating - anything for the cause - perhaps this is not clear to those who vote for it - and for churches that encourage their members to vote liberal.

Diane, I think you really hit the nail on the head.  I, too, am sick and tired of being called names (like "racist") just because I happen to LOOK white (I'm only part white, with a generous portion of Cherokee -- and who knows what else--thrown in).  It's pretty obvious who is obsessed with race, and it isn't most white people I know.  And for those who ARE obsessed: think how unfair it is to the thousands of black people who don't judge a man by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character-- I think we all know who said that first.

Gail & Robert W--- I know this has been off subject. But it needs to be said. I think we have to believe in God, no matter what---Period. We don't have to understand it, just do the best we can! It has to do with what we believe in at the second of our death that counts, trouble is, most of us don't know when that is! Remember, the Bible is talking about our souls, not our bodies. Millions of bodies have been destroyed by Socialism and many more will be in the future. We are in control of our bodies, we also, with the help of God are in control of our souls. We must make the first move. That must be why we say "God help us".
Thanks you two, I've learned something today.

Note- people ARE listed with the sins that God hates.

Comment by Gail Cohen on January 7, 2014 at 12:43am

God loves His creation and the people in it because He did die for their sins. However, one must acknowledge one is a sinner, that they have sinned and cannot by their own works be saved and accept the Lord's sacrifice for sin - the Holy Spirit, if one is truly saved will create in a person a hatred of sin and that person, although not perfect, will more and more want to do what is right - and will try to know and understand God through the scriptures with the Spirit's guidance what the will of God is and do His will and not their own. The unsaved who commit sins will not se Heaven - if they do not acknowledge His sovereignty and sacrifice - why would they want to be in  Heaven? They would just bring sin there.

God is love - but He is also pure and righteous so the Bible in many places puts down what He hates - so when you have the time and inclination here are a few verses to start. Also we are not all God's children = the last verse says that.

Psalms 5:5-6

Ps 11:5

Proverbs 6:16-19

John 1:12-13    Now most the ones I have are from the Old Testament, there are some others in the New

Testament - God does not change.  So it really does not matter what I say or you say, the only texts we have to describe God and his nature are in the Bible - He does not want everyone to go to Hell, but people put themselves there - unsaved people cannot face God and live because it is like matter facing anti-matter (the best analogy I can think of right now)

...but I can warn those that use the "God loves everybody" term had better read the bible more thoroughly...

Are you saying that GOD only loves those that turn to him and repent of their sins?

Are you saying that GOD doesn't love those who have not turned their lives over to him?

JESUS took upon himself, the punishment that was meant for us sinners. He didn't do that just for those that turn to him. He did it for ALL sinners.

The only unforgiveable sin is "Blasphemy the Holy Ghost".

If you tell a lie, you can still repent of your sin and JESUS will forgive you.

Gail, I'm not judging you, because that's not my job. Only JESUS CHRIST can judge us humans. I was just trying to figure out exactly what you were trying to say.

I agree with your response to my response to your comment. I've said before that America is going to fall hard for turning her back on GOD. Maybe I misread your original comment.

God loves but he also HATES LYING and LIARS - don' t have the exact verses but Proverbs has verses, Revelation puts liars in hell etc - Our politicians are lying to us about many things, including who is racist and who is not. As a Christian, I am not to judge who will ultimately end up in hell - but I can warn those that use the "God loves everybody" term had better read the Bible more thoroughly - especially those who support the liars with their vote.
