Do you ever have the thought or that feeling of doubt that is saying, "Will we ever get our country back"?  I do.  I have that feeling of doubt daily in fact.  It's that "feeling" of doubt that keeps me plowing full steam of head fighting the destruction that is happening to my country and yours.  It's that feeling of doubt that also coincides with the question, "When is enough really enough?"

Will it be enough, after outside creditors and investors no longer view the USA as a 'good risk'?  Will it be enough after All of the American flags have been removed from your children's classrooms?  Will it be enough when you actually have to choose whether to  fill your car up or buy groceries?  Will it be enough when you have to explain what homosexuality is to your five year old before his/her teacher does?  Will it be enough when you realize that YOUR first amendments rights no longer exist?

Let's ponder on those questions for a bit and then let's decide what we're going to do about it.  It's not beneficial in life to look at problems exclusively.  We must look and decide on solutions to rectify those problems that we have now and ones we could face in the future.  If you think about it, almost every problem we have in this country is because of money is it not?  The one word is controlling so much of what is corrupt in our nation right now.  Oh, sure, some would say the nation is fine just the way it is, "I'm not really seeing people line the streets waiting for food".  No, they're not seeing that yet because the house of cards has not come crashing down just yet.

I'm certainly not a conspiracy theorist or fearmonger.  I'm a realist and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the way our country is being led and HAS been led for several decades is unsustainable.  Think about it people, when was the last time your check book had maybe $5.00 in it and you realized you needed about $30 worth of food?  Did you take your ink pen and write another ZERO at the end of your $5.00 balance?  Of course you didn't!  You'd find yourself racking up all kinds of overdraft fees as well as likely finding yourself behind bars!   Well, do you realize that what I described is EXACTLY what Congress discusses and VOTES on doing time and time again with our nations check book?  You and I are both logical enough to realize that if WE did that not only would it be illegal, it would throw us in deeper debt and we'd have consequences for our actions.   So doesn't it seem very STRANGE that our nation doesn't seem to be having those same consequences?    Not only does it seem strange to me, but it seems like its being done on purpose at times.  Hmmm. What could I possibly mean by that?  Well, even many of our young children understand that if you don't have enough money then you can't buy what you want and sometimes what you need.  Not our Congress.  They haven't grasped that concept because they can't seem to focus on the country THEY live in and are being distracted by "other" issues.  They are allowing those "other issues" to help them decide whether or not to grab their ink pen and write that extra zero or two or three or four at the end of the balance in our nation's check book.    This is not going to end well for the United States if this irresponsible behavior is allowed to continue.

If we do not demand fiscal sanity and responsibility from our elected officials then we need to be snapping pictures like crazy of what America looks like today because in the near future, she will not even remotely resemble herself.  Stop letting our elected officials tell you that its a bigger problem than that.  Stop letting them convince you that we have a responsibility as a nation for (X Y and Z).   If they can't explain to you what the balance is in nations check book and then tell you exactly how much the item they are voting on is going to cost US then they need to be REMOVED immediately from office.   You haven't forgotten the silver lining that is underneath them have you?  Who pays for their pot of gold while we keep having our future confiscated?

Friends, don't think for a minute that eventually creditors aren't going to want to be paid their principle loan amount as well.  At some point they WILL DEMAND to be paid back.  We just don't know when that is because we do NOT know the terms of our loan with them.   There is no such thing as an "indefinite" loan, so what I want to know is, "what are the terms of our loan with our creditors?"  It's our money that Congress is spending and further putting us in debt with day after day.  Shouldn't we at least know what the terms of our loan are?  I sure think so!  This is NOT a Democrat problem with spending or a Republican problem with spending.  This problem is exclusively and equally blamed on BOTH of them.  When was the last time you saw EITHER of them actually tighten our belts and spend within our means?  I don't recall seeing either side significantly reducing the size of the top five, most expensive, budget items on our spreadsheet to prove they are being responsible with our hard earned tax dollars.  Frankly, I don't care WHO started the problem of this fiscal trainwreck but I know who is going to finish it.....WE ARE!

So I ask you today, my fellow citizens and patriots, "When is enough really enough"?

I have to wonder just how serious the GOP is listening to the demands of the taxpayers. We are DEMANDING that this spending STOP! It means they MUST address the social programs even though its tough. If they run a RINO or a CINO then I'm seriously considering voting "third party". Here is NO difference b/t the left and a RINO/CINO.....like you said, Professor, our time to see the real change is NOW. I'm not sure the GOP is taking us serious.

Terri,  enough was enough many years ago for this Conservative.   Your question is, of course aimed at the general public and the voting electorate.  Sadly those folks are more and more of the American Idol mentality.  For them the election is about who shows well on TV and not who can best make our lives more secure and our economy more vibrant.  It is incumbent on those of us in the know, to educate as many of the unwashed as possible. Please keep up your activism.  Challenging those who would bring down this Republic, is the responsibility of every Patriotic American.  2012 is our battle cry.

Antoinette,

You speak exactly my thoughts.  Thank you.

It's pretty basic isn't?  When the cupboard is bare the reps can fight over the crumbs or go hungry.  Some how they think they can spoil themselves into eternal pampering.  Unless they can crawl back into the womb or go on to the next step of spiritual existance here; it's not going to happen for them.  Let them live by what they demand.  I'm smiling at the thought....

Problem is, we have the same people running the country.  Same Rep. and Dem. that got us in this mess.  Just take McCain, & Boehner, Pelosi,& Reid, Barney Frank, same old, same old spenders. We need to vote all of them out, and put new blood in like Rubio, & Christie.  They want to take away from the American people, the hand that feeds them, well lets take away their pot of GOLD.  Take away their medical and put them on the same as us, and do not give them the salary for the rest of their lives.  It ends when they are voted out.  Then go and get a job when you are out of the government.  No more living off the American people.  GET A JOB IF YOU CAN FIND ONE.  IF NOT COLLECT UNEMPLOYMENT FOR SO MANY WEEKS, AND WHEN THAT ENDS, WELL MAYBE YOU WILL LOSE YOUR HOUSE LIKE SO MANY OF US HAVE.  I just hope and pray it's not to late for us the American people.  I hope we are not on bread lines, while the government lives high of the hog with all the money they have from all their perks.

My other point to the reforming of SS and Medicare is this.  Why do we need the federal government to "provide" for our futures and retirement?  Can we name just one social program that they have overseen where it is proving to be successful?  My solution to this would be to allow the states to oversee those programs if they chose to.  The federal government hasn't a place in these programs.  They proved their ill education of management when the very first social security recipient Ida May Fuller paid $24.00 into the program and received over $22,000 in benefits. The federal government does not understand that 2+2=4.

I with you on that Todd.  I could deal with a 4 yr plan.  Close  the borders, send the illegals home, stop paying for everything that we sohould not be paying for, sounds like a plan to me!

I have to agree with those who are ready to make the change over a 4 year period.  As far as the SS and Medicare....Sorry, yes those are BOTH severely mismanaged and horribly set up.  I'm turning 40 next week and have paid into program since my first job as an adult and CLEARLY would be very foolish to ever expect all the money I've paid into the program will be there for me.  I'm not banking on it one bit and nothing would suit me more than to OPT OUT and lose all the money I've paid into and just STOP taking from me from here on out.  I know how to save for my future and I'm betting there are couple of people out there who agree with me.  How can people not see how unfair it is to take MORE from the program than they put in?  I could literally FIRE every single lawmaker in office right now and start over if given the chance.  This is precisely why I blame the right as well.  They were just as foolish NOT to safeguard those funds and allow them to be "borrowed" from.  These lawmakers are genuinely either severely ill educated on economics or they are intentionally part of the scheme to destroy us.

I agree Tom, that we need the right Pres.  However, we have far too many Americans, T Party included, saying "don't touch my SS or Medicare.  Yes, these SOB's nhave stloen from each tax paying citizen, but when is enough enough? Now, right here and now.  Do you realize they could pay each person back what they paid into the system with interest and reduce our debt?   Even, still paying those on it?  Time to privitize, get the gov out of our lives, period.  No nanny state.  Gov out of the schools. All where I want to be, can it happen today? I doubt it...a weening off of programes will work, cold turkey? Even in this network will not fly, from what I am seeing.

Took a hundred years of progressive "inching" to arrive here.,  We woke up, I hope not too late, I hope they played their card too soon.  We have a long fight to turn this around, more than likely small incremental steps.  Small victories; we need to gradually replace those in the GOP that do not measure up, do not stand on principle.    Has anyone noticed that O'Rielly has been more leaning left, and coelescing with the left as late??  We are facing an extreme threat: 47% pay zero in taxes, the government will not rein in spending, our own...attack any cuts (Ryan) brings to the table, we need to elect the most far right, brave Conservative we can find.  No matter HOW far right, they will only be able to move us "slightly" to the right.  Yes, we need a far right, Conservative...George Washington (not Bush) founder!

Since WW2 we, the USA, HAVE NEVER AND NEVER WILL PAY ANY OF OUR DEBT TO OUR CREDITORS.  FURTHERMORE WE NEVER HAD ANY INTENTION OF PAYING BACK ANY OF IT!
