Political Cartoons by Lisa Benson

Some things in life defy description. Yesterday, one of those things happened. Our Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, finally put an end to her long, and often comical delay of answering any questions relating to the single worst foreign policy debacle since 1978. The tactics used to delay the on-the-record Q & A included birthday parties abroad for foreign dignitaries never before seen in the presence of any U.S. diplomat, let alone our very top one, faking several, as in more than two, illnesses which magically occurred at the last moment, and of course simply refusing to appear for months on end.

Of all of the quotes that came out of yesterday, this one has to be top of the list of any American who cares in the slightest about any reasonable semblance of accountability that our Executive Branch should be held to.

What's the Difference why these people were killed?

Putting aside for the moment that righteous indignation is a faux tactic only ever employed by the incredibly guilty, I nearly jumped through the office television in a vain attempt to confront a woman who clearly holds a low opinion of the American People, those brave souls who died as a direct result of her incompetence, and more specifically the very few public officials who dared to ask questions of a member of the self anointed elite class of dictatorial rulers known as the Obama Administration.

Hillary hardly faced the tough questions yesterday that were deserved of such a travesty. Two, count them two Senators dared to cross that line separating fawning dotage and actual inquiry. Ron Johnson and Rand Paul seem to be the only two Senators on the Foreign Affairs Committee interested in understanding what accountability for the consequences of stupidity should look like.

Bear in mind that the whole goings on in Benghazi represent that rare instance in American political scandal where the crime was far, far, worse than the pitiful attempt at cover up. The crime was that we put into place the world's dumbest foreign policy, a second time. Not content with the unmitigated disaster suffered time and again during the Carter years, the Kumbayah School of foreign policy again was instituted. Shockingly, the very same result was gleaned as the last time we tried to pretend that projecting American weakness abroad would really get our enemies to respect us. The plan was, that when we extended an olive branch to the Muslim world in response to their giving us the finger, they would suddenly realize that we meant them no harm, and Unicorns would begin shooting rainbows out of their hind parts, and all would be well in the world.

Unfortunately, that worked no better in 2012 than it did in 1978. Four Americans paid for the naivete with their lives, and the cover up of this stupidity went almost completely unreported by a sycophantic American Media.

The difference dear Hillary, and any who took the inexplicable position of championing her obfuscation today, is that these people died as a direct result of the idiotic policy agenda enacted by Hillary Clinton. Rather than beef up security in a world hot spot in response to the danger there, created by herself, She attempted to keep Americans from realizing that she had put our interests abroad in that danger. As a result, four people lost their lives, and after begging her to do something in order to help them stay safe.

The pitiful lies told by the Administration in the aftermath of this lunacy are only secondary to the real problem at hand. The real problem here is that our foreign policy is at best moronic, and at worst, treasonous. Pretending that Islamofascism does not exist will only lead to more of these disasters in the future. Guess what, we just sold these very same people in the Muslim Brotherhood some F-16's.

Let's not forget the small fact that the producer of that moronic film, seen by no one coincidentally, is still imprisoned, because apparently the First Amendment does not protect the rights of those who are a convenient scapegoat for our President.

We are halfway through this thing, officially on the back nine. Hunker down, thank God that it can all be corrected, and realize that no changes to our Constitution have been permanently enacted yet.

Agree with Mike. ( Messed up my earlier comment that should have read second four years.)  Believe that Benghazi was a bellwether that while suppressed now, may have ramifications that haunt America in the future.
Combined with Fast and Furious and the NDAA detentions provisions, it's clear that the regime does not have to enact constitutional changes - simply ignore or bypass it at will. The"what difference does it make" question should be used as a conservative mantra to repeadedly list the negative differences that were/will be made. Good verbal hook and should be used to show this regime is accountable to no one.

If we are all expendable, 'what difference does it make'? It matters to me, does it matter to you?

But this Benghazi affair could be treasonous. "What difference does it make?" Mrs. Clinton screamed back.

OH Dear, what can we do. They are entrenched for another 4 or so years.

To Roger's comment I find it stunning that Holder and Hillary somehow managed not to read correspondence of the most crucial nature. Only Rand Paul laid out a cogent, candid case on why this whole affair has been so shameful. Ron Johnson let the queen bully him and no one came to his aid. We keep asking ourselves where is the outrage but if our leaders were unable to show some outrage at this hearing what hope is there for the folks who don't have a megaphone? If my son was among those murdered I'd be devoting everything I had to ripping the cover off this cesspool of lies and deception.

Does this sound vaguely familiar to anyone? I think I just heard our Secretary of State say almost these EXACT words during the Bengahzi hearings!
"Holder denied that he read reports sent to his office and denied any knowledge of the deficiencies in the operation before receiving Senator Grassley’s letter after Officer Terry’s death. There are many reasons to question this account."

"...thank God that it can all be corrected, and realize that no changes to our Constitution have been permanently enacted yet."

I have to take exception with the last statement in the article.  We are so far away from following the Constitution that there is probably is no way of correcting these problems.  Take, as an example, the Supreme Courts decision on Obamacare.  Even though it is unconstitutional, we are stuck with it, no matter who the next president is.  Do you really see the Right, gaining ground and rising to the occasion right now; so that in four more years, the country will have it's collective eyes opened and right this wrong?  Between now and then, one or two more liberals Supreme Court Justices will be appointed to take a strong majority for the next 20 years.

We are slipping away from the Constitution on a daily basis and most in this country could care less.  Yes, I am afraid that permanent damage has already been done.  Remember many saying, during the last year, that the coming election was our last chance to try to correct the direction?  Well, no correction was made!

Time will tell, but if these psychopaths (I'm not calling names; I believe they are mental) simply settle for European Socialism, we may be fortunate. No free country, with the blessing of Congress, and at the insistence of the President, enact NDAA detention provisions as a prelude to future events. No free country graduates a FEMA youth army in anticipation of quelling civil disobedience. No free country stockpiles untold amounts of ammunition to possibly use against its citizenry. And no free country begins an aggressive campaign to disarm its people in direct violation of their constitution.

While changes to the Constitution have not been enacted, it's been circumvented with the potential to do far more harm than place America under the color of socialism. Add the absolutely morally bankrupt actions of the Secretary of State and attendant officials and the equally degenerate DOJ, and we aren't on the back nine. We are on the second four.

USARogue,

Are you aware that David Axelrod is the grandson of Leo Trotsky?  I tried to confirm this, but couldn't make a direct connection.  but, I finally found that Trotsky adored a Communist man by the name of Axelrod.  I'll bet one of Trotsky's daughters married one of Axelrod's sons.  That name...too much of a coincidence!

Trotsky vied with lein for top place in the communist take over of Russia, but lost out, finally was jailed.  Later escaped from prison, and made his way to Turkey and then Finland, I believe.  Then to Mexico, where his old commie buddy had him chased down and murdered.  It is easy then for David to migrate to Chicago.  There the  Chicago thugs joined with the commumnists...perfect soul mates!  Now we are "privileged" to have their "services" in Washington.

If anyone has more information, please enlighten us.  I would love to understand these hard core commies;  they ruin country after country, yet they never quit.  They move to a free country and begin their dispicable program all over again.  You would think David would despise the people who murdered his father.  There seems to be no deterent serious enough to cure them of this urge to conquer and control big time a  people by any manner or means, or any companions. Politics does indeed make strange bed fellows; for proof, you need look no further than the Obama-Clinton partnership;  their lust to control overcomes all other passions. That's why they are so dangerous!

This is a trick question:

What's the difference between an ambassador asking for increased security and not getting it, and a senior diplomat, who at one time denied that request, suddenly doing an about face and demanding increased security?

Answer: One is dead and the other should be!
