What Degree of Penetration Constitutes Rape?

I have not read Senator Dianne Feinstein’s proposed “gun control bill” in its entirety but have seen all the salient points as shown on every news media outlet in the past couple of days.

I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for a decade or so and have met the good Senator once or twice. She appeared to be a truly nice person, a believer (as much as any true politician can be), and every inch a politician.

I even voted for her once because the Republican Party favored son made David Duke, former Gand Dragon of the Knights of the Klu Klux Klan  (KKK) look like a bleeding-heart liberal.

I heard a sound bite from Ms. Feinstein in which she assured America that nobody’s guns were going to be taken away and other such drivel and it got me to thinking.

I have seen every episode of all the Law and Order programs at least once and the “Special Victims” program is often too dark for me to deal with; perhaps because in recent times I have sometimes felt like a “special victim” of our government.

In that “Law and Order / Special Victims” series the line: “There was no penetration so there was no rape.” is used from time to time.

The Second Amendment to the Constitution states:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

So as I understand Ms. Feinstein’s proposal, she will let things be as they are, but not allow the continuation of things as they are into the future.

In my way of thinking, what Ms. Feinstein is proposing infringes on the rights of my grand children who are not yet old enough to handle a firearm. Our family tradition is that a child’s ninth birthday produces their first rifle - male or female. And they are trained in the use, care, and safety of firearms over the next few months. So it was for me and so it was for my daughter and my sons.

Ms. Feinstein may be suggesting “only a small penetration” but as Detective Benson says: “Any penetration constitutes rape”. And Ms. FeinStein is suggesting a (further) rape of our constitutional rights.

I urge all Americans, of every political persuasion to “Cry Rape”, loud and often to inform your representatives that anyone who supports Ms. Feinstein’s bill will be remembered in the most egregious way possible - voting them out of office.

"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government."

George Washington, 1790

I have lived and worked in Washington on a couple of occasions; stationed there in the Army and again when I worked inside the Reagan administration. Every time we got a new crop of "representatives" the "young guns" would arrive full of commitment and a strong dedication to serve We The People. By my observation and with rare exceptions total corruption took between thirty and sixty days. It was not unlike watching a living reenactment of that old Sci-Fi movie: Invasion of The Body Snatchers; one day they would retire for the day as committed servants of We The People and would awake looking the same but hollowed out inside with an insatiable hunger to fill that hollow space with money, position, and power.

It is time to bring Congress home.

With today's technology there is no need for those folks to be collected in Washington.

Video conferencing and instant communications simply removes the need for them to be in one spot for any other reason than to get together behind closed doors to make deals.

Hannity had  a segment Friday on the  lobbying and corruption in Washington. It is ALL of them, minus  a few  new ones who will soon be corrupted.  We are being dragged through the mud by this GANG of criminals.Feinstein a nice person?  Hitler  probably seemed like a nice person. People say  Obama is a nice person. Feinstein carries, and has armed  bodyguards. NO  nice person wantst to keep rights herself   and  take them away from the rest of us.  I do not own, but  I sure as heck think everyone should be able to.

When all is said and done.  I would like to see this whole government pay for treason and never let out. I hope we have an island they can be put on. And no hand outs from us. Let them grow their own food. They can never be trusted again.

This is all just a distraction from Benghazi and Fast & Furious. Harry might not even bring gun legislation up for vote since he wants to keep his job and loves guns himself. No matter what, it won't pass the House. Obama & company are hoping that enough time will pass that the public will forget about these two treasonous offenses. Hillary was lying through her teeth under oath. We need to focus on these two criminal acts by this administration and never let up until officials have paid the price for their treason. NO ONE has truly taken responsibility (Hillary has mouthed the words but that is all). Let's collect the 25 personnel that our two brave (but dead) Seals saved and grill them. They were spread to the four winds so that no one could get to them to question them. That alone tells you there was a very dastardly act to hide. We should be yelling and screaming at Congress about these two illegal and treasonous acts, so loud that we completely overshadow idiot Feinstein.

Feinstein is unqualified for the job of proposing intelligent legislation that might have a positive affect on avoiding, or at least substantially mitigating future Sandy Hook incidences.  Her proposed legislation is irrelevant and unconstitutional.

I am all for thorough back ground checks on all sales or transfers of any gun each time said gun changes hands -- so long as this is done ONLY at the state government level.  Here in Colorado the agency that hands background checks on firearms is the "CBI" (Colorado Bureau of Investigation).

I recently transferred a Springfield 1911 pistol to my son as a gift.  I had had a background check when I purchased it new in 2010.  I insisted that my son acquire the gun legally and be on record as to being the new owner of that gun's serial number.  My son is a USMC Reservist and has been since 2007.  He is 24 years old and very responsible.  In fact, he is in training now for a USMC Intelligence MOS, and near graduation from Colorado State University in Fort Collins.  My son is now the legal registered owner of the gun.

All of my guns were purchased new and all had separate background checks on done me from CBI.  All of my hand guns have detachable magazines.  One has an 11 round capacity.  One of my rifles has a detachable magazine, and I own both 10 and 20 round magazines for it.

As a trained gunsmith with a degree in the trade, I never use or recommend the use of any magazine which was not designed for the gun in question.  Any magazine fed gun is subject to jamming even if using the manufacturer's magazines designed for that specific gun.

The US Military has no magazine fed weapons that use 100 round magazines for good reason.  Such a configuration is impractical and dangerous.  There are no reliable 100 round magazines made even if they were practical.  The issue of magazine capacity is ridiculous on its face.

The idiots attempting to write these laws should consult gun professionals before making asses of themselves.  The idiot liberals who scream about global climate change being a scientific fact, seem to ignore science and engineers and gunsmiths in their hot pursuit to push an agenda that is transparently and patently false.  I have absolutely no trust or confidence in morons like Feinstein to be able to craft any intelligent law on the subject of guns.

Yup, I agree; Now. it's time for the accomplices like Mitch MCConnell to get thrown out of his treasonous office. McConnell has negotiated away portions of the filibuster rule that we need to fight the Rapist off; THANKS MITCH

Being a Law and Order fan and having worked on a committee to rewrite our state rape statues the title got my attention. The analogy is perfect. I personally feel stalked and in danger of being raped by the Feds.

Thanks Judson. I wondered about that.

The Dick act idiocy that has been making its way through the internet is just that.  Congress can amend or repeal any law it passes.
