Wow, 2 blogs in one day for me. I just watched the movie "Invinceable"
about the true story of the Philedelphia Eagles, Coach Dick Vermeil and
Vince Papale who at age 30 became the oldest and most inspirational
football player in history. It isn't just about football, inspiration
comes from all walks of life. It wasn't just these two stars Vince and
Dick, it was also the fans who did the inspiring with their cheers and
support. Vince was on the heels of his feet, down and out, an
opportunity came and this talented strong hearted inspiring man was a
hit for the Eagles football team, he made a big play against the NY
Giants and you actually saw the powerful force of inspiration work in
the fans, the team mates, and this team turned around after 6 straight
loses to beat a strong NY Giants. Later, in Dick Vermeil's coaching
career with the Eages, they won a superbowl. The movie brought out such
power, such inspiration, it made me want to do something important and
help others. With all the movements going on today, I hope we as a
movment, can duplicate this power that Vermeil and Papale were a part
of.
How did this happen, if inspiration was not there, if Vince Papale
didn't bother to try out for the team, I bet we would have a different
story, one of failure.
The fans today our our fellow Americans, the football players are us,
the teaparty and conservative movement. I watched the movie and saw the
average Joe, struggling, trying to make ends meet. That is what made
this country strong, workers as well as leaders.
As I look at our movement, I look at the fans out of work, they did the
right thing in life, paid taxes but now I see the assault on their
freedoms and taxes, I hope inspiration spread likes wild fire. We know
the politicians are creating problems so they can create a bigger
government at our expense. But the average person doesn't believe this,
they are unaware and can't believe politicians are behind a socialism
movement. Anyway, our job is to not just educate, but we need strong
leaders, coaches like Dick Vermeil, and we need strong superstars with
heart, that ignite inspiration like Vince Papale, and we need fans that
support us. I hope as time goes by we get these main ingredients.
