We are all Mike Fox

Mike Fox is an ordinary citizen who has played by the rules and done his best not to become a burden on society. Mike recently purchased a piece of property in Sarasota, Florida. According to Mike, “I purchased the property as a lifelong saver who played by the rules, paid all taxes, honored my debts and obligations and had a very conservative economic plan, who found my savings being repeatedly devalued by the Federal government's stimulus plan and the Federal Reserve's quantitative easing of the money supply along with the under reported inflation in food, medical and health care premiums and gasoline.”

Mike understands that, “Wall Street is not Main Street or corporate America. At least corporate America produces or delivers a viable product, Main Street is the home of individual American investors and entrepreneurs who still believe in the spirit of capitalism while Wall Street are monetary magicians and manipulators who only care if the market moves in any direction; up, down or sideways really doesn't matter, or sell financial products i.e. derivatives, collateralized mortgage obligations or insurance swaps that have and will doom the unsuspecting retail investor. These folks have no shame and when exposed, walk with millions without moral, civil, monetary or criminal penalty. Buying dirt makes sense.”

So what is so special about Mike and his property? Why the sign he put up which states in big bold red letters on a white background – DEFEAT OBAMA IN 2012.

Mike put up this sign out of frustration with government and what it has done to him and his family. “The stock market is a non-starter and rigged by Obama's former Goldman Sach's advisors in the Treasury department and Federal Reserve consequently the only place for an individual without 10's of millions of dollars is in well located property where you can kick the dirt and see what you have without fearing your savings will disappear overnight,” says Mike.

However, Mike ran into some push back from the City of Sarasota. As Mike explains it, “By luck my property had a sign post on it; I decided to take advantage of it and express my discontent about Obama. After applying for a sign permit from the city of Sarasota I was initially turned down by city bureaucrats, demonstrating another example of government intrusion and the power of staff, appointed job holders who lack common sense and are only interested in covering their butts.

“I prevailed only after the city officials consulting with the city attorney and I strongly pointed out to city staff, staff cannot deny my constitutional rights of free speech and I will defend that right in the judicial system. I wonder how many folks get turned down by staff and just walk away after having their property rights and constitutional rights denied. I do not think this mindset is unique to Sarasota but has become prevalent across America”, reflects Mike.

“As Americans we only have one thing the U.S. constitution the greatest political document in the world guaranteeing our rights derived from God. Only the Bible is more powerful from where all goodness starts,” states Mike

Mike laments, “The banks are paying their customers less than one percent on their savings. Why should they pay more? A large bank can walk up to the Federal Reserve borrow funds at a quarter point of interest turn around, go out the door, go to the back of the building and buy U.S. Treasuries for 2.75% guaranteeing a risk free return of 2.5% for doing nothing. Of course, the U.S. taxpayer is paying for this and Obama is maintaining this policy.”

So how does an ordinary citizen speak out? Why with a personal statement that is seen by over 60,000 commuters a day.

Mike put the sing up because, “If Obama is reelected one day we will all wake up to a country of ‘controlled capitalism’ like China. In China the government tells you how many babies you can have, how you cannot pray, where you can live and sleep, and how the state dictates all facets of economic life for the betterment of the state not the individual. I don't want this for my daughter or anyone else's children. Consequently my ‘defeat Obama sign’ is just one person expressing my extreme discontent where the Obama government is taking us.”

Mike observes, “My sign is not about The Obama opposition candidates but about Obama himself, a progressive who thinks he knows better and more than the individual citizen. I hope all thinking Americans of all political parties will place a ‘Defeat Obama sign’ in their front yards, places of business or on friends private property, let Obama know we have had enough and your elected days in office are numbered. My hope is 10,000 signs across America by July 4, 2012.”

Executive Director of the Republican Party of Sarasota Christian Ziegler said, “Record deficits, high unemployment and now this sign, will serve as a daily reminder for all Sarasota residents about the decision they face and the goal all conservatives have this year.”

It is time to start a campaign led by Mike to put 10,000 signs up expressing your views on your property as you see fit. Good for Mike. We are all Mike Fox!
