Two Bulldogs in a China Shop.
Many similarities exist between Newton Gingrich and Sir Winston Churchill. Both highly intellectual statesmen in love with their respective countries. Both men approached politics with the subtlety of bulls in china shops. Both accumulated considerable political “baggage” by their social indiscretions, while towering intellectually above their peers as Eiffel does above Paris.Churchill and Gingrich share an unsurpassed mastery of world history and possess the unique ability to apply the lessons learned from past mistakes to the present, indeed the future. Churchill railed against the appeasement policies of Neville Chamberlain as he kowtowed to the tyrant Fuhrer. When Chamberlain finally yielded the mantle of Prime Minister to Churchill, he boldly reversed the timid strategy of appeasement and thrust the full force of the Great British Empire against the axis of evil hell bent upon world domination.
Similarly, a young Newt Gingrich watched as the Keynesian economic policies employed by the Carter administration plunged America into economic chaos unequaled until the present unsustainable debacle pursued by the usurper-in chief, Barf Ovomit. Had it not been for the emergence of the great communicator, Ronald Reagan, America might well have succumbed to the Cloward-Piven strategy to enslave America.Serving in congress during the 1980s, Gingrich helped shape the astute policies of Reaganomics which undoubtedly rescued America from the slippery slope to perdition pursued by the socialistic Carter administration. Then employing those lessons learned from bitter failures and sweet successes, Gingrich chartered the great Contract with America of the 1990s. As a bull in a china shop, he bludgeoned the GOP establishment into submission, forging electoral successes unprecedented in the twentieth century. The predominant presence of constitutional conservatives in congress under Gingrich’s speakership balanced the national budget and rejected “HillaryCare” despite the charismatic progressive presidency of the unrepentant philanderer-in-chief, Slick Willie. Make no mistake, the GOP establishment, temporarily dominated by Gingrich, detested his successes because it limited their access to earmarks with which to bring the pork home and sustain electoral their power. That good ol’ boy club mounted a contrived ethics scheme against Gingrich’s speakership in 1998.The current speaker of the house, appeaser-in-chief John Boehner, led the political coup which eventually unseated speaker Gingrich. But now the bulldog is back and packing vast political moxie acquired in the trenches for thirty some-odd years.
Like Winston Churchill, Newt Gingrich does not say, “Mother, may I,” when faced with political opposition by the Left wing main stream liberal media. No one knows that fact better than CNN’s John King.Meanwhile, John Boehner, like appeaser Neville Chamberlain, continues to bring forth his freshly laundered white flag with each new conflict against the Marxist policies of the Barf Ovomit caliphate. The election of Newt Gingrich in 2012 to President of the United States will change all that.
