“ THE STRONG-BOX”

A Constitutional Analogy

To understand and grasp the enormity of our current plight in these United States of America, we must first rediscover some basic principles which are pertinent to the form of government which, We the People, originally created. The first principle is that ALL of the rights of ALL of the people, regardless of their individual faith, are inherent in your person. Just as much as your arm, your lungs, or your teeth are inherently and unequivocally yours, so to, are your rights. They have belonged to you since conception. These rights predate the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the federal Courts.

Second, free societies institute governments to SECURE, PROTECT, and DEFEND these rights. That is the SOLE PURPOSE of government in a free society. Most of the powers granted to our government are directly linked to the government's ability to execute it's SOLE PURPOSE of securing, defending, and protecting INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS.

An analogy of a safe or strong-box, is illustrative of the government which we the People instituted, The “case” of our safe is comprised as a box of 6 sides or panels, each bolted to the adjacent panels by bolts, strategically installed in the interior of the assembly. The sixth side is the door, and the door is fitted with a locking mechanism

Let us now ascribe to each component of our strong-box, a corresponding body of government. The back panel is the President, Upon each of the four edges of the President panel are, the House of Representatives, The Senate, The Judiciary, and The States' panels respectively. The door is We the People, and the locking mechanism is the Constitution. The bolts which connect and secure the panels tightly, are collectively, ORIGINAL INTENT; and each bolt is fitted with a corresponding nut to secure it, and hold fast, the panels of our government. Each nut coincides with a Constitutional provision. (e.g. Senators shall be elected by the State Legislature of the State they represent, Revenue bills shall originate in the House, the judges shall serve during good behavior, the President has veto power, etc.) Placed inside of our strong-box is our RIGHTS, liberties, and wealth. This is the FORM of government we the people CREATED. We built it. It is ours! Any nefarious individuals or organizations are blocked from accessing the treasure of our strong-box or “safe”. Thus our rights, collectively, are SECURED by the government which WE the People CREATED.

Now, let us consider the strategies of the nefarious safe-cracker, First, what is it that the burglar desires? Answer: Power over your rights. Those same rights which are secured by our safe. He doesn't want the safe itself, in fact, it is the safe, which poses an obstacle to his desires and avarice Therefore, how is the burglar to access the treasure within the safe? Option one, would be to open the door. That is, after all consideration, the easiest way in. Remembering that the People comprise the door panel, may we open the door to the burglar's desire? Answer: Not without disengaging or weakening the lock ! Remember, the door is secured by the locking mechanism (Constitution). In other words, while the people are the “gate keepers” we do not have the ability to open the door without disengaging or otherwise overcoming the lock. So we must be enticed or induced to do so of our own volition. Therefore, if there is a “crisis” ; say a fire inside the safe, we the people could be counted upon to overcome the lock , and permit the professed “experts” to thwart the “fire”. Since one of the rights secured by the safe is the ability to acquire and hold wealth, the “fire” could well be a financial crisis. Coincidentally enough, just such events occurred in 1893, 1907, 1920 and1929. A stock market crash combined with recessions or depressions, would certainly suffice to induce a panic stricken people to VOLUNTARILY slam the crowbar of usurpation into our own lock and jimmy the door OURSELVES. Once admitted access to the interior of the “safe”, the “burglar” begins removing the nuts (Constitutional provisions) which are fastening the panels together. One by one the nuts are loosened, then removed, allowing the bolts of “original intent” to become dislodged and weaken the overall integrity of the “strong-box”. Once enough bolts have been dislodged, the combination is no longer required for access. The Constitution, is by-passed. Simply manipulating a panel or two allows the burglar to overcome the “strong-box” barrier, and do as he pleases with the treasure inside. Thus even once the people (the gatekeepers) become suspicious of the would-be burglar, and refuse to open the door to allow access, it is of no great consequence to simply go around both the Constitution and the People (ie. The lock and the door it secures) Entry may now be had, at will, through any of the various panels (ie. Congress, States, Judiciary or President) which have now become disconnected from the door and subject only to the political and financial manipulation by the nefarious burglar. Welcome to America 2011. The People are irrelevant, except for their manipulated participation on election day. The “safe” is in pieces on the floor. Your rights and mine lay unsecured and defenseless.

Exactly, how many times did We the People allow access? How many times were we duped or deceived, under the pretext of a “crisis”, to grant unfettered access to our vault?

Prior to 1900, our “safe” was intact and sturdy. The courts rebuked whimsical attempts at usurpation. The congress diligently honored their oaths of Office, Presidential chivalry was evident, the States' jealously guarded their sovereignty, and the People's senses were sharpened along the watchtowers. The Constitution was interpreted within the boundaries of original intent. The Federalist papers were routinely cited by federal and State justices as the basis for judiciary holdings. Then, in the late 1800s a new and nefarious philosophy emerged; Progressivism! Like a steam locomotive leaving the station, it began slow, with limited traction, but has been gaining speed and momentum with each subsequent usurpation. Like a video game nemesis, which gobbles up “credits” and grows more powerful as the game proceeds. The Progressive movement has infected both political parties, our schools, the Church, the media, and the society at large. It is nearing the point of victory through annihilation. Let us examine, therefore, some of these analogical “video game credits” which have given the Progressive movement it's initial traction and power.

In 1893, a depression brought on by agricultural crisis manifested in a stock market plunge. American fears of a revolt of the unemployed workforce were fueled by progressive activists, among them was Jacob Coxey. Coxey, a wealthy rancher and businessman, published papers calling for marches of the unemployed upon the Capital, and rallied several of these marches through cities, ramping up fear among the populous. He petitioned the federal government to create government funded infrastructure jobs for the unemployed, and openly criticized President Grover Cleveland for not taking action to “deal with the crisis”. Coxey was also opposed to the bimetallic currency system prescribed by the Constitution, and called for a shift in monetary policy; from precious metals to paper currency. He petitioned for the printing of “Greenbacks” to increase currency supplies. His attempts failed and were deemed too “radical” in the 1890s, but would become, in part, an inspiration for FDR's “New Deal” in the 1930s.

The next “crisis” was another economic collapse. This time; collapse of the banks and trust companies. The Panic of 1907 was triggered by the failed scheme of United Copper Company, to bilk shareholders. Banks had invested depositor's funds into the scheme. When the manipulation failed, large banks found themselves dealing with depositors, en mass, withdrawing their deposits. These “runs” on the banks caused collapse of the banking system and provided the springboard for Senator Nelson D Aldrich, to devise a plan with the banking interests to begin designing and drafting the Federal Reserve Act three years later. This Act, modified slightly by Virginia Democrat Representative Carter Glass, was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Woodrow Wilson on December 23, 1913. Merry Christmas America! Glass' reward was an appointment to Secretary of the Treasury. Additional legislation passed by Congress and signed by Wilson included The Revenue Act of 1913 which re-instituted the Federal Income Tax following the ratification of the 16th Amendment which began under President Taft (another professed progressive, groomed by Theodore Roosevelt), and the 17th Amendment, which took the States Constitutional representation, and handed it over to the people. The States' “seat at the table” was effectively ELIMINATED! “tink-tink-clank” . Can you hear the bolts of original intent falling to the ground?

Since the Progressive strategy, seemed to be so effective, it was time to stoke up the boiler and build up a head of steam. On “Black Thursday” October 24, 1929, stock values plummeted. Panic selling, compounded by margin calls, dragged the chart lines even further down. Billions in wealth VANISHED in mere days. The economic bubble was bursting and panic, fear, despair, and rage (EMOTIONS!!!!) filled the air in all but the furthest reaches of our land. These emotions were once again exploited to induce Americans, once more, to become unwitting accomplices to further weakening our Constitutional lock. This time, rather than a mere crowbar; drills, grinders, and explosives were employed. Under progressive President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Congress was urged to pass massive and wildly unconstitutional legislation to “deal with the crisis”. A plethora of alphabet agencies were created to “combat” the Depression. The result served to PROLONG the Depression however. While some were deemed unconstitutional by the Court, FDR threatened (ie bullied) to “pack the court”, by increasing the number of federal justices to decrease the odds of federal programs coming under the Constitutional knife of the judiciary. The New Deal agenda programs concerned themselves with every imaginable detail of American life, from social programs (welfare, entitlements, Social Security, etc.) to finance and banking control, and business regulation (eg. The National Industrial Recovery Act, encouraged (some would say “forced”) businesses to form cartels, and gave the recommendations of business owners the force of law, effectively neutering Congress' legislative authority). “ta-tink, tink, clank”.

Due, in large part to the success of FDR's New Deal Programs, employment of these “financial crisis' threats” has been used routinely since the aforementioned examples. Each time the strategy is employed, Americans have proved, both CAPABLE and WILLING to undermine their own foundations. We have literally had a hand in our own deconstruction! And rather than accept responsibility, we audaciously blame the “panels” of our “safe”, as if we the people had nothing to do with the usurpations.

And yet, though much of what I have just written is common knowledge among Americans, and especially politicians, here we are once more, at the door of our “strong-box” with crowbars, drills, and explosives in hand, busying ourselves with the work of further breach. We are once again allowing our emotions and personal interests to cloud our objective reasoning. The American people have been promoted, through the ranks of the “progressive train of Constitutional annihilation” from mere passenger to coal tender, to fireman (stokes the fire). Rather than open the relief valves, draining the water, jettison the coal stores, and applying the brake ratchet; we ignore our Constitutional role as gatekeepers and stoke the fire of the Progressive “Choo-Choo”. Americans of the Constitutionally illiterate class, are promoting Amendments to the Constitution which undermine it's very foundations. Willingly, albeit unwittingly, acquiescent to transfers of power from an intended branch to an intentionally PROHIBITTED branch, with no perception of the consequences. Legalizing the theft and pillaging which has been occuring for decades, we clamour, through self interest for Amendments. The “burglar” is exploiting the nations fear and personal interest once again ! . The transition between reading accounts of 1930s politics, and today's evening news is virtually SEAMLESS.

There is no great love, among the Tea Party Conservative ranks, for FDR and the host of meddlesome and liberty stifling programs. How many patriots wish they could board a time machine, and warn their ancestors to thwart FDR's “New Deal” and stop it in it's tracks? And yet, we are at the same crossroads, but do not recognize the intersection. There is nothing difficult or mysterious about learning the original intent of our Constitution. The TWO GREAT difficulties are, first; overcoming the twisted paradigm which the progressive agenda has burdened us with; and second, admitting that we share in the responsibility. The requisite correction of the former being strictly academic; the latter, merely honesty. We HAVE the ORIGINAL INSTRUCTION MANUAL to our broken machine ! We need simply to avail ourselves of it's measures.

Every person I know, who has bothered to rediscover the truth of our Founders' “strong-box,” and the sound wisdom and security it affords, openly confess elation and awe at the sound principles our Constitution embodies. Freedom, in the same manner as love, is a conscious decision. We must CHOOSE it. We must make a cognizant decision to arm ourselves with fundamental truth. We must make the meager effort to regain clear understanding and restore American exceptionalism, or admit that we are too apathetic and disinterested; that the great experiment in Self-Governance is a failure for want of discipline; and thus admit, once and for all, that we are instead, content to be herded, like cattle, to our own demise. Choose ye wisely! For our fates are intertwined.

As long as the world includes enemies to our Constitution, Mr. Jefferson's words will continue to illustrate profound significance:

If a nation expect to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization , it expects what never was and never will be.”
Thomas Jefferson; (Letter to Charles Yancy, Jan 6, 1816)

Winston Churchill said:
"You can always trust Americans. In the end they will do the right thing, after they have eliminated all other possibilities."

We have voted. Our representatives have warred with the enemy.  We have a bill which now ensures the continuation of deficit spending, with no meaningful spending cuts and the surety of revenue enhancements.

We have exhausted all options, save one. The Constitution of the United States of American foresaw the condition in which we find ourselves. They put Article II, Section 1 in the Constitution which states that the President must be a natural born citizen.  Minor v. Happersett is a Supreme Court precedent that affirms a natural born citizen is born in the country by citizen parents.

The removal from office of Obama is the only shot across the bow of sufficient strength to halt this Marxism and return us to a Constitutional Republic. It is our birthright.
