If you remember Chicken Little or his much larger cousin, Al Gore, then you know that the sky has been falling for years. In the early 1970s, the liberal contingent claimed that Styrofoam plates would kill us all. They put off gases, don’t you know? Of course, truth be told, it wasn’t the gases that emitted but the natural resources used in the production of the plates and cups that spurred the liberal’s interest in stopping the manufacturing of cheap, throw-away serving dishes. Under the Carter administration, the green thing really heated-up (pardon the pun) and the truth will-out. The liberals wanted to free mankind from the horrible “petroleum monster” that threatens to consume the earth with its power.
In the 1970s, the greener-movement had us on track to disappear within the next four decades. Really, we’re still here and so are Styrofoam plates. We’ve saved the whales by creating comparable products utilizing the horrible petroleum monster. So now, one must ask, “Do we save the whales and manufacture makeup, candles, and many more products using petroleum or do we tag the giant gentle beast as an ecological necessity to production?” The green movement needs to get a grip on their intentions. Whales live today because we use petroleum to manufacture all those necessities, yesterday. And, they are necessities. Have you ever seen a woman over 40 without her make up? Think Nancy Pelosi on ugly steroids and you will realize the need to have cosmetic enhancements.
No, it’s not a bad idea to plant a tree to replace a tree cultivated for lumber. It’s not a bad idea to grow your own vegetables to feed your family. It’s a wonderful idea to re-use many products to save money; however, people don’t re-use many products because the green movement is against capitalists, as a whole; however, they’re not against personal wealth for themselves. Many things you purchase second-hand have increased in value because they’re antiques. Almost everything, with the exception of the human being, increases in value with age. Human beings, especially the very old and the very young (baby) are optional and mostly disturbing to greeners who would save the planet for the chosen few.
Darwin’s hypothesis was that the original human slimed onto land from theprimordial ooze and now…well, we know who the ooze slimmer’s evolved into; liberals and some still have tails.

Comment by Thomas on April 29, 2012 at 7:31am Don't blame--or credit--the Obysmal administration for any energy that is derived from pond scum--if any ever is. DARPA funded research into algae as a biofuels source was initiated in 1974 by the Nixon administration. The research was discontinued in 1998. But it does seem to still be a source for at least some amount of hot air.
Awake, they are telling us that the new "huge lines" are necessary to carry the wind energy. They're constructing them all along Highway 82 West. I accompanied my husband to a construction supply site--he's a paving lab technician--and the wind farm ran behind and along side the site. The noise was incredible. Perhaps, Cali's wind farm are quite, but the one we were near in West Texas was an ear-buster.
Strange that you brought up Soylent Green, because a couple of friends and I were talking about that pertaining to Pepsi and their use of fetal cells. Obamacare would certainly bring memories of Logan's Run, and the windmills. They are building the big overhead lines across Texas now, because the older electric lines do not have the capability...I don't really understand the whole mess, but I know we have windmill farms generating and no way of carrying it. I think the greeners didn't think that one through. When you get near one of these farms, it's an all-out assault on the ears--noise pollution.
Comment by Rich Knoch on April 28, 2012 at 8:21am One of their innovations is to convert pond scum to fuel . . . is there a genetic link between pond scum and Liberalism? If so, Solyent Green comes to mind☺

This boondoggle by the obama administration, provides the Navy with $15 a gallon fuel. Would it be as efficient to heat homes by burning $1 bills in your fireplace?

Just wait till GM unveils its new prototype of a windmill powered car☺
Thank you Elizabeth.
Fortunate, I did watch it. Thank you. I will save the second one for in the morning.
Comment by Elizabeth Shea on April 27, 2012 at 7:48pm This is a good article, Donna. Thank you.
Thank you Deborah.
Thank you John, and I agree. Many things about Nancy are frightening and I guess it came as quite the surprise to Tim Berners-Lee that Al invented the internet. Seems the liberals cannot make up their minds.
I love the cartoon Goodbusiness.

Comment by John S Bacsenko IV on April 27, 2012 at 7:01pm Very good Donna! Liberal saying "hurry up and slow down!".....that's about the size of it. And lets not forget Mr Gore........busy beaver this man is, fancies himself wearing a cape and tights....here comes LIBERALMAN!!!!! He saves the world from the big corporate blue meanies all the time inventing the internet!!! HUZZAH for our our hero in red!
Let's not forget Mrs Gore and the PMRC. Her moment of fame warning everyone in the 80's that 'rock and roll' is EVIL.....and needs to be under the thumb of big brother! As far as Nana Pelosi.....it's not her face that is scary.......it's what comes out of her mouth and all I can imagine....when she is pensive......the sound of a marble bouncing around inside that empty beachball that sits on her neck!
