Historian David Barton hosted the Glenn Beck program the other day, while Glenn took the weekend for his daughter's wedding, apparently.

So they talked about some interesting facts from the emancipation era.

The 13th Amendment to end slavery:

"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

100% of Republicans voted for it, but only 23% of Democrats.

Of course the 16th Amendment eventually repealed it anyway.

"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration."

Not a single Democrat voted for either of these:

The 14th Amendment:

"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

The 15th Amendment:

The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.


So most blacks voted Republican in the 1876 elections and the black vote was violently supressed in the Democratically controlled states.

And then:

Forced-collectivism holds that our lives belong to the collective, to be disposed of as they please, and that individual lives are not owned by the living person. That makes abortion a mere "convenience".

Planned Parenthood was founded by a racist, to eliminate minority babies.

Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood:

On the extermination of blacks:

On blacks, immigrants and indigents:

"The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it." - Margaret Sanger, Women and the New Race (Eugenics Publ. Co., 1920, 1923)

"Society has no business to permit degenerates to reproduce their kind.... Any group of farmers who permitted their best stock not to breed, and let all the increase come from the worst stock, would be treated as fit inmates for an asylum.... Some day we will realize that the prime duty, the inescapable duty of the good citizens of the right type is to leave his or her blood behind him in the world; and that we have no business to permit the perpetuation of citizens of the wrong type. The great problem of civilization is to secure a relative increase of the valuable as compared with the less valuable or noxious elements in the population... The problem cannot be met unless we give full consideration to the immense influence of heredity..."

So who's really "on the plantation"?

 

Why, the blacks that continually vote for the Democrat-Socialists who keep them enslaved with welfare and other "entitlement" programs based on Marxist redistribution of wealth.


Remember these facts the next time someone accuses the Republican Party of being "racist".
