As of the news today, Mr. Marco Rubio has written his memoirs and has had a good deal to say about immigration. That’s all well and good, but we have already had an ineligible self-promoting illegal in the oval office—in this case the executive branch. It’s time to stop assuming that conservatives only cared that Obama wasn’t eligible. It’s time to face reality. The Constitution demands that the candidate for the office of president be eligible by birth, and as the vice president could be called upon to serve in his place, the vice president's eligibility has to be considered, as well. The same must be applied to the Speaker of the House. Few realized it, but Nancy Pelosi might not have been eligible to step into the oval office had Biden and Obama been impeached, killed, or any other circumstances that would have made it necessary for the line to succeed.
Pelosi’s mother was an Italian immigrant and there seems to be little written about the mother and the immigration issue? It’s not a far-stretch to realize how Madame Pelosi would have run the office…very possible “rule and iron fist” are more appropriate. However, among other things that Marco Rubio has said in the last couple of days is the fact that he would have immigrated illegally to this country. Knowingly breaking a law does not win many points with conservatives. Now, he stands upon his pulpit demanding that the GOP must connect with Hispanics. Conservatives are of Hispanic, Black, White, and many other origins and the GOP—if they truly intend to take the White House—needs to start connecting with our political affiliation.
Why, you might wish to ask Mr. Rubio? The answer is, we make up a sizable block of voting Americans, and it is much-larger than ethnicity. Conservatives have an ideology that many in the government seem to over-look. We demand fiscal responsibility, personal responsibility, and that the candidate of our choice recognizes the Constitution of the United States as the supreme law of this nation. We’re tired of the Nanny State attitude and promoting illegal aliens above those that have come to this country lawfully, only aids in raising the national debt. We’re tired of being told that the Mexicans were robbed of portions of the United States, and that we owe them.
The Mexicans were nothing more than squatters in this nation, and they used many from our nation as slaves in their Mexican homeland. There have been many good books written on the TRUE history of this country that have been banished from schools across the nation. They are Americans, just as Canadians are Americans, but they are from Central and not North America. Canada protects her borders, vigorously, as does Mexico. There can be no nation without borders, and we need to protect ours. If all that is required to be welcomed in the United States, is to be an American, where do we draw the line? There are Brazilians, Venezuelans, and Peruvians, etc. that can make the same claim, as they are South Americans. To claim that one is American and entitled to the benefits of the United States is a double-edged sword. There have to be boundaries and borders that dictate these things and ours are wide-opened while those of the bordering countries are closed to illegal immigration with hefty fines and prison sentences.
No to Mr. Rubio and Hell NO to illegal immigrants being given a free pass on United States soil.
For the sake of arguments, Chester Author--a white man--was the first to have his eligibility questioned. He was so adamant about not having to reveal his records that he had requested that they be burnt at the time of his death.
