Thank you, Senator Marco Rubio for exposing the fraud of the DOED.
Ever since the inception of Department of Education, American education has deteriorated. All of the charts and graphs from the last 40 years prove this.
In addition, there is NO PLACE in recorded history that one size shoe fits all education does anything other than create mediocrity. So why do we continue along this path. Just follow the money. Trillions spent on failed education benefiting the salaries of the DOED and the vendors, nothing for the students. Curriculums focus on feel good moments and the environment instead of factual information. A Marxist education states that the child is a ward of the state and should be identified early so they can be educated (indoctrinated) into a work oriented program. This is the idea behind Race to the Top and NCLB. This has nothing to do with education, it has to do with indoctrination, power and control by dumbing down American students following social justice program.
An American education is supposed to teach factual information and the skills for a child to chose his career path later in life. Once a child has a true factual education (missing since the 1950's) they choose their career and that business will train them. The business education comes after the career choice by the student, not a choice by the government.
The Heritage Foundation analyzes Race to the Top...Race to Tyranny In the early 1990's, Marc Tucker wrote a letter to Hillary Clinton describing his concept for American education. He determined that children should be trained at an early age since working for the state was the most import function of a citizen. (Marxism) Today, Marc has succeeded in implementing his plan through RTTT and NCLB. Since the "useful idiots", your new name, are so dumb you won't notice as the Federal Government takes over education and transforms (changes) America into a communist country by indoctrinating (training) your child to "Fight for Communism".

It seems as though the Gates Foundation and the companies supported by the Gates Foundation are the winners. The Gates recipients will handle the technology, books, materials, programs, databases, evaluation and procedures. Isn't that sweet.

Money is not the answer. The only thing that will fix America education, is a factual curriculum and true content handled by the individual states.

They have been implementing it quietly since 2005. As anyone can assess, the student:s skill sets and scoring have not changed in this period. But acquiescence to school authority has.
Our federal, state and local government has been implementing the Sea Treaty and Agenda 21 even though these treaties never were passed by the Senate as our Constitution requires and the DOE has enforced the state DOE's through the process of grants to teach social justice which has no legal standing within the Constitution of the United States nor the state's constitutions. Thereby laying the ground work for a majority of citizens to have the wrong input that social justice dictates that these treaties do apply to the United States. Ask any politician other than Marco Rubio and they seem to not hear you speaking English. Even Gov. Scott has no spine to discuss Agenda 21. Our local governments are the largest supporters with their NGO's, private public partnerships, returning large swaths of property back into wildlands. Why? Because they want to be on the winning team and be part of the top layer that benefits from the serfs. They have decided it will happen and are making it happen.
The Department of Education has refused to listen to public input. They give the appearance of doing so but it is a closed access. All decisions are from the top down; as any good politbureau recognizes it is the State that is informed of all necessary data and ability to analyze and utilize the assets of the State. Individuals have been told for decades "don't apply".
The State of Florida has authorized by law financial clarity with the public of how their money is spent. The spenders are dragging their feet and are still trying to find the loop hole that will allow them to not comply. One way they are doing it is not providing a chart of ledger accounts so that you can develop the true picture. Failure to code the expenditures. and just how much petty cash do they have at their disposal?
We the people are coming late to the game, it is heading for the third quarter and as they say "we have a lot of ground to cover to win". It will take every person we can muster to play on our team to beat the opposition. They have money, they have worked under cover for twenty years, they get paid by us to beat us, they are our school board, our county commissioners, our mayors, the three and four letter digit government entities that get paid to subvert our American way of life 40 hours a week. We have to work 40 to 50 hours to support our families and then we have to work to find a way to undo what they have done.
The only politician besides Marco Rubio has been Ron McNeil running for our Senate Seat that says he is aware of AND knows what Agenda 21 is and needs to have done to it. Ron pointed out the obvious, England is less land mass than Louisiana. There population is 51.5 million. They instituted their national healthcare in 1944. They currently have 1.5 million government employees in health care. Over half of them are administration bureaucrats not doctors or nurses or health care professionals.</</body>

They are sponsoring educational conferences across the state of Florida. You will be shocked by the progress the United Nations has made into all aspects of our government programs and our culture achieved using Executive Orders.
Everyone who cares about our children needs to contact Governor Scott and our legislators and tell them that Floridians do not want the $100 million with all the strings attached that the Obama Administration is offering to Florida. The agenda in RTTT for behavior modification, social engineering using “Social justice” and indoctrination is intended to attack our children’s integrity and loyalty to their parents and to our country. Parents should be loudly protesting Governor Scott’s buy-in to this "agenda" and demand that Florida pull out of RTTT and stop supporting IB schools.

All of you have covered this topic and provided good arguments against these government programs. RTTT and NCLB embody a substandard approach and curriculum in terms of academics. More frightening in some ways is the clear Marxist agenda for behavior modification and social engineering that is intended to alter our culture over this next generation.
By the time these current students graduate (if they graduate) from high school, and are sent off to the workplace, all memory of excellence in scholarship, the joy of discovery, the excitement of finding one['s creative and intellectual gifts through the discipline of hard work . . . all of these qualities will have been drained from the educational experience, lost perhaps forever from our American culture.
We must sound the alarm and fight this drug of complacency, mediocrity and group-think which is being poured into our children's minds. The time is now. It is reassuring to know that people like you are shouting out the message and leading the way.

We need government out of our schools, from the state to the federal level. Education has become dirty politics.
Why are our kids being taught myth, instead of facts ?
Why are our kids being taught to be global, instead of American ?
Why does it cost 3 times more to send a child to public school, than to private school ?
Why are our kids not being taught history, and the real truth about it?
Why are our kids text books not reviewed ?
It's more than just money, it's more than curriculum, it's about a political agenda.

My understanding is that here in Florida the 700 million RTTT dollars from the Feds gives us two things:
1) The development of the common core standards which are illegal.
2) $32 dollars/student/year which is mainly spent on tracking teacher performance and the resulting bookkeeping. My guess is that the student receives virtually nothing from this program except a future of debt.
Pork and earmarks from Washington are alive and well, they are renamed grants and are paid for by loans to the Feds by China and others. I encourage every state to reject these grants and all the strings attached. Demand that your Congressmen follows Senator Rubio's lead and kill this program. Thanks Senator Rubio for speaking out!!
