Real Time Analytics

While in college, I had a German Shepard named Sheena. She was a loyal dog, well behaved, friendly, and as dumb as a bag full of hammers. This was a dog that would even be considered dumb when compared to other dogs, and yet, all it took to train her to not urinate indoors was to soak a rag in her urine and then tie it to a stake outside in the grass. She got the message immediately, and once she began receiving small pieces of cheese for doing business outside, she even learned the all important trick of faking her business in order to receive the Kraft individually wrapped slices of imitation cheese food. So the question has now been sufficiently begged, if my dumb ass dog could be trained without the aid of understanding English, where on Earth did we dig up these dolts who occupy our House of Representatives that seem so unbelievably bereft of the ability to learn from nearly three decades of electoral disaster and reward? In short, collectively, we have elected the single dumbest demographic of morons imaginable.

The only thing this current group seems truly adept at is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. We keep waiting for them to learn, and they refuse to do so. At some point in time, the GOP apparatchiks will learn, about this I have faith, that their base is more interested in having them do the right thing and could not care less about the politics of holding power. Here's the good news in all of this however, there are 151 Republican House members who are capable of doing the right thing for the country and are less interested in the politics of holding power. That is something tangible upon which a future can be built, and that, along with the 30 or so GOP Governorships, represent the assets upon which we can build our movement to take back our country.

Take a good look at the names on this list. It is the roll call vote of yesterday's House vote on complete capitulation. Notice who's on board with allowing Barack Obama to loot the nation and shred our Constitution, and who stood up against this act of continued self destruction. What a way to bring in the new year, and what a perfect gift it is too. John Boehner has solidified his deserved reputation for being Barack Obama's tool. Eric Cantor, Darryl Issa, Duncan Hunter, Alan West, and about 150 other guys showed us all that we do not stand entirely alone against a federal bureaucracy hell bent on scrapping our founding documents.

I remember defending Boehner and the bulk of the Republican Party on many occasions when this fight began in earnest. I argued that tax rates were the secondary issue to spending, and stated that allowing rates to increase would be acceptable provided that cuts in real spending, to be effective immediately, were in the bargain. So, what did John Boehner, leader of the chamber of our legislative branch that constitutionally controls the purse strings of our national budget, receive in the deal that saw an increase in the taxes paid by 70% of Americans? Barack Obama has been given a net increase in spending just to the South of $350 Billion. Simply stunning, the deal negotiated and agreed to by the Republicans in charge of the party today.

There are some who blame the sad state of affairs on the defeat of plan B. There are some who might blame Senate Republicans for this, but the fact is, the GOP controls the House. All spending starts there, according to our Constitution, which despite the best efforts of our academia elite, still exists. There have been over 1300 days since our national spending has been operating under the constraints of an actual budget, and for any one who has ever balanced their very own check book, the folly of this is easy to spot. Perhaps this explains why our deficit has reached a proportion that defies the darkest imagination of a Fellini nightmare film.

The true fiscal cliff is not one in which these professional liars have figured out how to establish a series of never ending artificially inflated crises in order to have the citizens vote away their personal freedoms and grant larger and larger chunks of power and authority to an increasingly cynical ruling class. The true fiscal cliff, and one that can not be avoided for ever, is that limit of people who are not bound by our legislative edicts to lend us the money to keep this sham going. 85 Republican House Members, all of whom were elected by constituents who had faith that they would know better, voted for this. John Boehner and Paul Ryan were among that group. I do not care how large of a percentage of the time these men vote along the lines of how conservatives were supposed to vote, this was the one that really counted.

It only takes 17 House Republicans to stop John Boehner from spending another term as our Speaker. Enjoy that thin Ice John, you've earned it. Today's political arguments are possible because of the great wealth built by the very system of economics being decried as the problem today. Americans are delusional in the belief that our vast wealth is an automatic happenstance, something that just happened as a part of the natural order of the cosmos. The truth is that there is a very definite limit to that wealth, and we passed that limit about 4 years ago. We are now cannibalizing that wealth, so thoughtfully created by multiple generations of people much smarter and wiser than we are.

History has proven many times over that Socialism will eventually collapse in upon itself, and indeed every instance of a society with a top down form of government has suffered the same end without exception. That will happen to us as well should we continue along a path towards that end. In the grand scheme of things, whether we correct our course now, or wait for the collapse, Americans will learn this lesson. I am just one of those helpless optimists who wishes to avoid the catastrophe. We don't really need to reach bottom in order to fix our problems. It is possible to return to the constrained government, society based on personal freedom and property rights before we completely cannibalize that wealth so thoughtfully provided for us by our forefathers.

Hey All;

Something sinister is being perputrated - and haven't put a finger on it yet.

No news on G. H. W. Bush since last year.  A retract Huston report on his obituary was filed.

Big push to get GUNS out of the hands of citizens.

Obama is sponsoring racial strife and hate events.  Last word from the background, "A Black President wants to cause an uprising of Blacks and get even for the Civil War?"

This is treason when done by a President.

I have always felt that CIA G. H. W. Bush pushed for Clinton in the WH, GW jr in the Whitehouse, and Obama in the WH.  It appears that Obama may have rogued out on the direction to be taken.

We pretty well know from Paul Irey, Doug Vogt, and Sheriff Arpaio that Obozo is a puppet made from an old agent with no credentials.  (A GHW Bush Plant).

But what is sinsister is that there is a big void in information and the buss is headed for the same cliff that it was on Monday.

And, did anyone catch the Obama Statement today, "He did the tax thing, now the debt that the GOP put us in is their problem (or something to that effect). While he jets off to spinsd 3 Million more of your dollars.

That boy is trying to dump his ills in one swell foop on the Citizens.

So, what is the future trigger event that we do not see at this time?

@ m phillips, Who ever is elected needs a minimum of 218 votes, and not simply a plurality. Pelosi would need at least 17 House Republicans to vote for her, which while possible with this crew, still seems highly unlikely.  Also worthy of note is that it is possible to vote in someone who is not even a House Member, such as Alan West.  Going Speakerless is also an option if no consensus is reached.

Isn't it possible the house could elect Pelosi if the GOP splits?  Could someone educate me on this?

Fellow Patriots,
It's way past the time of "I'm as mad as hell and I'm not taking anymore..." The ruling class is unresponsive and arrogant. They will not stop the generational theft or even produce a budget. We are constantly lied to by the administration, the complicit media, and all their surrogates. People have died from the Fast and Furious scandal to the CIA outpost of Benghazi. They don't read bills they devise in the backrooms by a few. There is no debate. The bills are passed spilling their contamination on us and subjecting We the People to the consequences. The system is completely broken and no election is going to fix it. The fraud that was perpetrated in the "spigot" cities ensured the demise of our Republic. I actually heard one Senator say he voted for the "fiscal cliff/tax" bill to give us more time to prepare for the collapse. We cannot go on with our everyday lives: we owe too much to the honor, sacrifice, lives of the generations that preceded us and gave us our freedoms; and we owe too much to the future generations of Americans. My God, our service men and women are sacrificing their lives today so that we CAN do something about this disgrace we call a government. We have to step outside our comfort zones: put aside our everyday lives, pledge our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor to insure this Republic survives, no matter how wounded she may be. What I'm saying is we need to stand together: a mass peaceful strike. We need to stop paying taxes in leverage. All they do is throw it down the rabbit hole and funneled it back in payoffs. There is no accountability. The House holds the purse strings, but is unable or unwilling to wield this power; therefore I offer the Power of the People to defund this corrupt government until the entire Congress and Administration resigns. This Ruling Elite have violated the Constitution on almost every level. They have violated their oaths of office to "protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." There are grounds for impeachment and Treason at the Executive Branch, The Department of Justice, The State Department, The Treasury, Homeland Security, and countless other agencies like the EPA.
No one is going to tell me what kind of light bulb I will use in my home! There is an organization called COP (Constitutional Oversight Posse) that will bring to justice these seditious people in our government. There are more of us than them and we have Truth on our side. I have never felt such a loss of freedom in my life and I will not feel powerless for our Founders gave us the tools. We just have to employ them; whether its the 10th Amendment and States exercising Nullification or We the People using our Constitutional Rights to Right this sinking ship of state. The time for action is now. We can do this! It will require great sacrifice and trust of one another. Please pray for the Divine Protection of God for our nation and her people.

Its probably a good time to begin private tea party meetings around the country to discuss our future reactions to the tyranny about to be released upon us. We need to keep composure, and make sure we have a means of communication no matter what! That means only the few trusted people attend these meetings. We; obviously, need to identify and keep moles out, and develop a means of unique communication. For those who are frustrated, maintain your cool! We will come out victorious in this mess, no matter what they throw at use. Remember anything that is backed into a corner becomes defensive. The communists & gop feel backed into a corner, and we need to keep knocking them down! Any thoughts? OP

I think in the long run, it's going to the best thing that could happen to the American People to get A-Royal-Screwing by those that "We Freely-Elected" so the "Sheeple" can finally take the Time to figure out where we went wrong in voting for All of them INTO OFFICE in the first place!

It's probably a mute point at this time in America's History to change any future outcomes, but it's a fitting end to why "We The People", Couldn't Keep The Republic!

"We all have quoted our Founding Father's most famious Quotes and Warnings, but All have Failed to Use or Live by them!

WE ALL WANT TO LOOK FOR VILLAINS IN WHY AMERICA HAS GONE SO WRONG; OBAMA, DEMOCRATS, OR REPUBLICANS, BUT IN THE END, WE ONLY HAVE HAVE TO LOOK NO FARTHER THAT THE MIRROR BEFORE US, TO SEE WHOSE REALLY AT FAULT FOR THIS!

Edward Pitt, in my mind....... the idea that the Federal Government coming for people's guns would be a nice (almost silent) alarm.  Those are the sorts of things that get people like Paul Revere to come back to life.

Comment by Darlene Littlejohn on January 2, 2013 at 10:49pm

We need to look at the total votes of our elected officials and not just one vote.  Some will vote 'No' when they know it will pass anyway; they are just doing it for bragging rights for the next election.  When someone (like Rep. Amash in Michigan) votes against even what the conservative scorekeepers want, we should read his reasons which he posts on Facebook.

Also, we should try to let them know before the vote what we want, and after the vote, thank them for voting how we wanted.  I know... it's hard to keep up with all of this and make time for it all, but we can try.
