So, I heard it on the radio today, clear as a bell, what does this year's Presidential election boil down to for half of America. Well, to be fair, and somewhat more precise, what does it mean for the citizens who have identified with the Democrat party for their entire lives and suddenly are beginning to realize that their party has been taken over by that strange breed of Human Being that wears Che Guevara t-shirts and openly admits to being full blown Marxists.
I believe that's an important distinction to make. I too grew up in a state where the entire mantra coming from every living person, was Democrats good, Republicans bad. Since the early days of the labor movement in our nation, West Virginia has elected almost exclusively Democrats. It was one of the very few states Jimmy Carter actually won in his reelection bid against Ronald Reagan. It took Al Gore and his promise to destroy the Coal Industry in order to appease the mythical Goddess Gaia for the Mountain State's coveted 5 electoral votes to turn red every four years on network election coverage.
What we have with today's crop of that bewildered class of formerly sane Democrat voters is purely and simply momentum. They vote for the Democrat candidates because they have always done so in the past and are predisposed to do so in the present and future. It's not so much tacit agreement as it is, "hooray for our side." It was brought home for me with this statement that I heard on today's news broadcasts emanating from ABC Radio. An, "undecided voter was asked what specifically he was weighing in his mind while considering who to vote for on November, 6.
I am trying to decide what I feel is most important, our economic health or women's rights.
Putting aside this man's asinine premise that women's rights are under assault by anything discussed on the political right, regurgitated solely for the irritation of anyone with two functioning brain cells left, The real issue here, is this man's willingness to tolerate the destruction of his nation as it was founded in order to preserve his loyalty to his side, versus the knowledge of of just how destructive the people currently running our nation are, and just how far they might be able to take that destruction given four more years. What this man stated for me, and for anyone paying attention, is that he realizes that Barack Obama's policy agenda is disastrous for America in every possible conception of the word disastrous, but that he is clinging onto one last snippet of his old belief system in order to maintain his former loyalty, before he allows that to be stripped away.
I see this as good news for our side my gentle snow flakes. It is an abject admission that Barack Hussein Obama has been nothing short of a failure in his stewardship of America's interests in any measurable metric. There is not one positive thing that Obama's supporters can point to and tell us all, this is why President Obama deserves to keep his job as the top executive of our nation for another four years. Rather than voting for their chosen candidate for a reason relating to his success, they must cling instead to one of the manufactured reasons so helpfully pointing out the evils of all things conservative.
The math from there points to good things for Mitt Romney. Just for a moment, consider what percentage of those who identify with the Democrat party or usually vote for the Democrat candidate on any ballot are hard core Marxists, and what percentage are made up of the reasonable people whom we all were once capable of having an intelligent civil conversation with. The former group now controls their party, but the latter used to be in that position, and must at some point realize that most of their views are no longer welcome.
Of those in the latter group, what percentage will continue to cling to their loyalty, knowing that their vote will continue to have ruinous effects upon our nation and upon our national security? What percentage of that group will make the decision to vote for an end to those destructive initiatives and return instead to the economic ideals that indeed created the wealthiest and most open, and by no mistake of fate the most powerful nation that Earth has ever seen? The United States after all did not come full blown into the world as the wealthiest and most powerful nation in world history. It was the fact that our founding principles unleashed the forces of open freedom that are possible for any nation that would choose to embrace that system of economics and governance that allowed us to become what we are today. It was that, the sacrifice and hard work of our ancestors who were here before us that made America what she is today. Many of the Obama voters from 2008 realize this and are contemplating just how far they should allow this destruction to slide before doing something to stop it.
If the second subset from each of these two latter groups is 10%, Barack Obama is toast. When you couple this with the change in the voting demographic that exists between 2008 and 2012, this will be a landslide in favor of Mitt Romney. In 2008, the voting demographic was D+7. I know that a lot of the national pollsters are predicting that there will be an even wider gap in voting demographics in 2012, as if the 2010 elections never happened, but anyone paying attention in the slightest as to the reality on the ground will be able to see that as nonsense. The number of people in America who self identify as Republicans is at an all time high, and those who self identify as Democrats is at a 100 year low. That alone is a stark difference from 2008.
There is a reason why undecided voters typically break against the incumbent in an election where an incumbent is running. The reason that they are undecided in the first place is that they do not like what the incumbent has done with his four years. this group of voters is predisposed to vote for the other candidate simply to move away from what they currently have in the White House.
The bottom line is this, there is a campaign in trouble right now, and it ain't the Romney Campaign. For all of the prognostication out there about how this race is over, I notice that the dirty campaign tactics and scorched Earth lying is growing more desperate daily. If Team Obama had internal polling that was telling them at all that they were in decent shape, they would be running a campaign that would be focusing on establishing themselves as above the fray, and would be having the President traveling to Congressional Districts which would help sway control of the House. They would be spending time using the Obama coat tails to help maintain control of the Senate and such. Clearly, we are not seeing that.
What we are seeing is an air of desperation, a man who feels that he must cover up the events happening in Egypt, Libya, and across all of North Africa, along with strong arming American corporations into violations of the law, (layoff notices pending from Northrup Defense Systems,) in order to avoid having an informed electorate make the decision on November, 6.

After a subpar debate performance against a sharp Romney, Obama suddenly seems vulnerable to any bad news.
Comment by Doug Nicholson on October 4, 2012 at 1:08pm "...our economic health or women's rights." What women's rights was this man referring to? Was it the right of women to have their birth control, morning after pills and abortions paid for by the American taxpayer? If he, or anyone else, can show me in the Constitution where those "rights" are guaranteed, as are the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, I will then gladly help pay for them. Until then, they won't get a penny from me.
Comment by Peter D Sowatskey on October 4, 2012 at 9:50am Hi folks,
For reasons that take long books to explain, the Democrats can't admit they've been had, or that they can think of happy outcomes. They are stuck in the belief of negative results from everything that can possibly be done.
You can't raise them up to the top of the mountain.
The best you can do in a conversation is get them to admit to a far off possibility of there being a slight chance that light exists and the tunnel exists and let them smoulder.
Any other effort simply gets their dander up and they resist change that much more.
Comment by Kate Bowe on October 4, 2012 at 9:45am John Wiseman, great article.
I too grew up being told that the democrats were for the little people, and the republicans were for the rich.
Not until I sent my children to a great Christian School, did things turn around. They were educated and learned the truth that changed an entire family. The old timers that cling to their party, as you so clearly explained, are the ones that we can reach for a better future.
Comment by dondadogg69 on October 4, 2012 at 9:36am Great video Kate. Just shows one more way our country has been divided. Hard to believe people that live in free America can stand against it. This is what our children are being taught by leftist professors in collages around America.
Comment by Kate Bowe on October 4, 2012 at 9:26am It's the brainwashed mind in this country that we must try to reach.
If you haven't seen Herman Cain lately, watch him at a college where students aren't sure that America is the greatest Nation. He tells them to leave if they don't think so. Not as good a video as Col. West telling Ovomit, Pelosi and Reed to go to h_ll, but they are out there standing up for this country. I applaud them.

Well said Mr Wiseman, about the Dem Party being taken over. I have long said the same to my Son in Law, and it is sinking in, I think.
Comment by Carolyn Dorsey on October 4, 2012 at 1:16am VOTER FRAUD IS RUNNING RAMPANT ALL THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. Here in Iowa, Our Secretary of State Matt Schultz has been fighting all the way. Keeps going to court, only to get turned down, to make sure all voters are ELIGIBLE. Too many dam dems. So the State of Iowa can't have any chance to change the law, or shall I say, ENFORCE THE LAWS ON THE BOOKS. I'm so disgusted!
Comment by Steven E Anderson on October 4, 2012 at 1:14am Even though he's not the perfect candidate, I was proud of Mitt in tonight's debate. He went after Obummer on every issue. I sincerely hope he performs equally as well on the next two debates. The debate tonight has given us a ray of hope.
