Wyandotte, OK – Why would Tea Party favorites like Rep. Ryan and Allen West vote for bills like the Patriot Act and NDAA, leaving many of us scratching our heads and questioning their loyalty to the Constitution? I think I know the answer.

I met Rep. Paul Ryan when I was running for Congress at the time, challenging Blue Dog Democrat Dan Boren. It was during the last week of March 2010 in Oklahoma City. It took me several hours to get there, but for me, it was worth the drive and the price for a ticket ($100 or so). Ryan was the keynote speaker for the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs’ 2010 citizenship dinner. Ryan focused on the passage of Obamacare for most of his address, calling the bill a “travesty” and said it was up to the people to start a new American Revolution, but a peaceful one at the ballot boxes. He said, “We need men and women who go to Congress and are running to stand up and fight for what this country is all about.”

Of course, I agreed with that and felt like it was me he was talking about, but I had been disappointed only minutes before when I introduced myself and told him I was a tea party leader running against Dan Boren. He responded with, “Oh, he’s a great guy. We’re friends. You know my wife is from Oklahoma; we have relatives here.”

The photographer snapped the souvenir photo (above) and Rep. Ryan reached for the hand of the next person in line, essentially dismissing me. It wasn’t what I had expected, or maybe more accurately, what I had hoped for, but it was typical of how politicians don’t listen to nobodies.

I wasn’t a nobody to hundreds of people who knew me or at least knew my record. I gained national recognition in the Tea Party movement when I held up my husband’s and son’s birth certificates from Kapiolani Hospital in Hawai’i and declared Obama’s online forgery as “a piece of junk.”

Long story short, I dropped out of the race and supported constitutional conservative Dr. Charles Thompson. I felt driven to continue my efforts to expose Obama’s fraudulent birth and other false narratives about his background. I was unique. I was the only person I knew from Hawai’i speaking out publicly, bad or good, about Obama, and I knew why. Getting the truth told was a losing proposition as I fought a barrage of expletives; “birther,” “racist,” “wingnut,” “conspiracy theorist,” and all demeaning names and charges intended to intimidate me into silence. I wasn’t alone. Anyone challenging Obama caught the same flak.

On March 1, 2012, Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, AZ, held a press conference and declared that the birth certificate posted on the WhiteHouse.gov website on April 27, 2011, was a manufactured forgery. Earlier that same day, Andrew Breitbart, king of alternative media, collapsed and died. A shockwave went through conservative America. Sheriff Arpaio’s stunning news got a small mention by Brett Baier in his “Grapevine” segment on FOX News with a final comment intended to mar the sheriff’s credibility by stating he is under indictment by Attorney General Eric Holder for “civil rights violations” and other (trumped up) charges.

Sheriff Joe held another press conference on July 17th, again confirming Obama’s birth certificate to be a forgery. Even more evidence had been found in Hawai’i by Mike Zullo and his investigative team. The Sheriff’s Cold Case Posse now had boxes of evidence but in a quandary as to where it should go. Obviously, it couldn’t go to Eric Holder’s Justice Department, so he asked for a congressional hearing. He asked, but by now, he was marginalized like the rest of us who challenge the most powerful man on earth.

On Tuesday, August 7th, I went to Claremore, OK to Sen. Tom Coburn’s recess Town Hall. I went prepared with evidence to counter the claims he made to me in a letter responding to my request to hear Sheriff Arpaio’s evidence in a congressional hearing. Before he shouted me down, saying, “You don’t get to talk anymore!” and “You don’t get to read that!” (I tried to read aloud what he wrote), I got to talk about Obama’s forged birth certificate, his forged selective service application card, and his CT social security number starting with 042 instead of 575 or 576, numbers reserved for Hawai’i residents.

Coburn recited the talking points provided by CRS, the Congressional Research Service, who we identified as the culprit “prepping” members of Congress on how to handle questions about Obama’s birth certificate, citizenship status, his religion, Muslim background, passport, sealed records, etc. I asked if he gets his research from CRS, and he confirmed he did along with Snopes and FactCheck. Coburn had lost his cool and demanded I ask my question. I asked, “Will you call Sheriff Joe Arpaio and hear what he has to say?” Coburn answered, “Yes.”

Friends who travelled hours from different areas of Oklahoma to support me were witness to the ugly treatment usually given to me when I challenge high ranking officials. This time, it was murmurs of “Shut up, Bitch” and “Who does she think she is?”

Well, I’m happy to call myself a nobody. This nobody got a commitment from a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee to agree to call America’s toughest sheriff and hear the evidence proving Obama’s birth certificate is a manufactured forgery.

I was ecstatic to hear that Paul Ryan was chosen for Romney’s running mate. I was so afraid we were going to lose our country by allowing another Constitutionally ineligible candidate to be placed on a presidential ballot. The GOP establishment continually pushed for Marco Rubio to go on the ticket, deliberately ignoring the fact that Rubio is not a “natural born Citizen” as required by Article II, Section I, clause 5 of the Constitution. The founders in their great wisdom ensured for future generations that our president/commander in chief and vice-president have allegiance only to the United States by requiring this higher standard of natural born Citizen, meaning born to parents who are themselves citizens at the time. Marco Rubio was 4 years old when his father became a naturalized citizen, meaning he divested his Cuban citizenship, swore allegiance to America, and promised to uphold and defend the Constitution. Had Marco Rubio’s parents became naturalized before he was born, my mission would be different today.

I watched Ryan’s speech this morning and shed tears. Not just because of the wonderful words of optimism he has for the future of our country, but because it wasn’t Marco Rubio on the dais.
My thoughts, though, went to Ryan and Col. West and questioned why Tea Party-backed congressmen would vote for NDAA when it hit me: they don’t read all the bills, and we shouldn’t expect them to. It’s an impossible task, so they rely on their aides and other advisors to do the research and make recommendations. And how do they do their research? They rely on the information disseminated by CRS, Snopes, FactCheck, and other liberal sources. Dr. Coburn confirmed that.

This isn’t news, and most people reading this are aware of the problem, but the difference is that we are being heard and taken seriously. Wayne Allyn Root went mainstream over Obama’s sealed Columbia records. Others are coming forward exposing Obama’s communist ties and radical Muslim infiltration in the White House. My hunch is that every Republican senator and congressman has at least one communist plant among their staff, and CRS is the communist controller of the information flow – cut off the communist tentacles of CRS, and we start to win the information war and the battle to save our country.

Was RUBIO puzzel Piece number one, BUSH with a Jebb puzzle piece number two?

I would think so.  Was the puzzel how to keet the Constitution a REAL CONSTITUTION.  (Like the wooden boy Pinocheoo wanting to be a real boy, our Constitution needs to be a REAL Constitution - is our Fair Fairy Watching with majic wand - Is Ryan the third piece of the puzzel and the Good Fairy?  For those of you understand the difference I am speaking of the fictional fairy, not the LGBT Fairy).

@American Infidel: You are spot on about term limits, not only because it would do away with "career politicians" who are only there to line their pockets, but also because it would change the paradigm (or mindset) of those considering running for office in the first place. Knowing there was no possibility of making a career of the job, those people whose motivation is to make a positive contribution, because they feel they owe it to our country, in order to pay society back for the wonderful freedoms and advantages they have had,  would be the ones running.

Where's guys like G. Gordon Liddy when you need them?

If you don't know who that is, look it up!

Would someone please hack into Harvard's network and copy Obama's records?  Please?

We'll post your bail if you get caught!

Robert, the one-subject idea for each bill is excellent, and a common-sense approach to how things should be done in Congress. That way, the Dems could not tack on really heinous addendums to bills providing body armor for our troops, forcing conservatives to vote against them. As for reading the bills, of course not all Congressmen do read them; that is true. My earlier point was merely to say that for someone to infer that a conservative member of Congress must not have read the bill, or must be getting their information from dubious sources simply because they voted on it differently than some of us think they should have voted, is not necessarily true! Perhaps they just don't see eye to eye with some of us on every topic!

Robert H. Woodman, those would make very good planks for the tea party platform. Rinos would hate us even more. *Read today that Speaker Boehner called us knuckle dragging conservatives.

American Infidel and Ruth Nicholls,

Your posts make some excellent points.  American Infidel, it's not news that Congressmen don't read every bill that they vote on.  I've known about that now since I took a required class in Civics and Government back in high school, many, many years ago.  This is why I wrote the post regarding the "One Subject" rule for Federal Laws.  If the content of each bill was required by law to address one, and only one, subject, bills would be easier to read and understand.  Moreover, hidden earmarks in bills would be not so well hidden anymore since the earmark would have to be its own bill, or it would have to fit with the subject matter of the bill in which it is placed.

If we could force Congress to be part time, that would be great.  For one  thing, a part-time Congress couldn't pass as many bills.  For another thing, Federalism would be reborn, since Congress could only meddle in States' affairs on a part-time basis, not a full-time basis.  :-)  That could become a Tea Party platform plank.  I thnk the "One Subject" rule should be a Tea Party plank as well.  What do you think?
