The civil war between the Tea Party and the GOP Establishment has been brutal. But could it be the reason congressional Republicans aren't putting the heat on President Obama for the IRS scandal?

Democratic pollster Pat Caddell thinks so, and radio host Rush Limbaugh said it's plausible. One historian even told Breitbart News the modern GOP resembles a "crime family."

"The establishment Republicans want the IRS to go after the Tea Parties," Caddell told Fox News on Sunday.

"When you have 71 percent who want an investigation, 64 percent who believe that it is a sign of corruption including nearly a majority of Democrats," Caddell said, "the reason is the establishment Republicans want the IRS to go after the Tea Parties. Got it?"

Caddell said the GOP establishment is happy to have the IRS take the Tea Party down a notch.

"Because the Tea Parties are an outside threat to their power hold and I'm telling you  the lobbying consulting class of the Republican party and Republican leadership who have been attacking the Tea Parties, and alienating them, they want the IRS to do this," he said.

This section of Discover The Networks provides a timeline of this illegal, blatantly partisan practice by the IRS.

Congressional Democrats have revived their interest in Russell George, the Treasury inspector general who outlined the IRS’s targeting of Tea Party groups, with a pair of lawmakers filing a formal ethics complaint.

Democrats have said for months that George, Treasury’s inspector general for tax administration, crafted a flawed, misleading report that helped fan the flames of the IRS targeting controversy.

In addition to the links of this article, here is an update from WND with Rush and another's two cents.

The republican party wants the IRS to target the tea-party. Tea-party is all that is left standing for the constitution.

Please check out AFR.org.  Americans For a Free Republic are starting up a new political party, the National Independent Party.  I think you will like it.

Great freaken song!! Needs to be played everywhere. This song can be the anchor statement of a real groundswell movement. As I have stated before, if the Republicans can't or won't see the light, the Conservatives within the Republican Party should publicly state their disappointment in the present Republican platform and announce their new party name on the 4th of July of this year, whatever it will be, maybe the "Independence Party". At that point, it will be much easier to elect a Conservative President. The internet can make this very possible. The people of this country are SO fed up with both parties and the majority will go to the third option, ours! Although we are embattled by both parties, they have truly awakened a giant and we have truth on our side much like our founders had. This will be our best and last chance, God help us all.

Our present government reminds me of the mafia with George Soros as the father.

Excellent Blog.

I just viewed the news of your blog, and signed into TPN to add it to an appropriate blog article. This blog by Kathryn McEwen was the first I saw!

Kathryn, you already said it all. Once again, proof that there is only one Washington Party. It has been this way for quite some time. The tea-party, and those that stand for the same values, are all that is standing between a constitutional USA and a government run USA. Thank you for the great blog and the evidence of how important it is that conservatives stand strong against what is wrong with our country.

Here's a way to get under the skin of the Dems and make a point at the same time....

Tennessee Football Coach fired for making Obama song. He'll make more money when this song becomes a big hit than he would teaching school.

Tennessee middle school assistant football coach, age 26, fired for a song he wrote and played!
This could be the next number one hit country song. It's the best effort yet at encapsulating the outrage at the oversteps of this government in an entertaining song.

Apparently, the guy was fired over the song because some parents complained. If you like it, help it go "viral" by passing it along to everyone you know.

This is true as far as I can see and it shows how lawless our federal government is The Republicans are almost as lawless as the ,Democrats because both of them are only interested in power. In the future I will only vote for people of conscience and I will no participate in the other elections. I will try to save my money to ,be ready to pick up the pieces when these two parties ruin this country as the result of their greed for power and money. God love the ,men and women of the Tea Party who have values.
