O'Reilly's Pre-Bowl Interview of Obama: My Take

There were a number of unflattering opinions published on the internet about how well O'Reilly handled his surprisingly brief Pre-Super Bowl interview of Obama yesterday. Not always a fan of Bill, I have to take exception to those negative appraisals of his performance. I thought he did as fine a job as any journalist could have done.

From the outset, and despite Obama's signature parsing, double-talk and filibustering, I thought O'Reilly was remarkably dogged, unflappable and in control. What made that clear to me was the frequency with which Obama defensively lashed out at FOX at nearly every turn.

Obama's embarrassing mendacity and insincerity was on full display for all honest and objective folks to see. His body language, blinking eyes, tell-tale and mechanical Cheshire cat grin, and his frequent loss of eye contact spoke volumes. For me, the interview didn't break new ground, but DID underscore--yet again--that Obama is, manifestly, a shameless, prevaricating hack, and nothing more.

When O'Reilly asked Obama about his stated desire to "fundamentally transform the USA" and why Obama felt that way, Obama quickly dodged and weaved, implying by his circuitous reply that he didn't use those words. My stomach turned.

This guy is a self-serving, amoral, pathological liar, and an incorrigible  narcissist of the first order, and he will, in fact, go down as the most morally corrupt, untrustworthy, unscrupulous and least respected chief executive in our nation's history--that is, assuming we have a history as a nation for much longer.

What is blindingly crystal clear to all but his craven sycophants is that this poor excuse for a President--and a man--needs to resign or be impeached and removed for high crimes and misdemeanors. Absolutely no question about it--at all! (Perhaps "Operation American Spring" can pull that off this summer, and for the country's sake, I sincerely hope so. GO OAS!)

So, despite all the negative commentary, to my way of  thinking O'Reilly did a creditable job. Can't imagine how he could have done better without jabbing his finger in Barry's face to evoke an unguarded response. But, let's face it. Even with that, Barry's much too instinctively serpentine to have permitted such candor and honesty.

For me, I learned nothing new. Obama was once again exposed for the charlatan and scoundrel he genuinely is.

"Is Your Child In The Right School?"

South Carolina mom Lisa Stevens wasn’t satisfied with her child’s school. Then she heard about charter schools and discovered she could get a group of people together and start one.

Nathan, a second-grader in Arizona with a learning disability, is thriving in a small class with teachers who are able to give him the attention he needs. His parents discovered they could choose the right program for Nathan because Arizona has Education Savings Accounts.

School choice doesn’t look the same for everyone—because learning doesn’t look the same for everyone. This week, kids and parents who have found the right combinations are celebrating National School Choice Week—and it’s the perfect time for you to learn more about your family’s options.

The old way of doing K-12 education—every child put into the same public system—hasn’t worked out. But school choice has returned control of education to the local units where it belongs: the family and the individual school. School choice has proven to produce better academic outcomes, significantly increased graduation rates, improved student safety, and higher parental satisfaction with their children’s education.

This week, we’ll be highlighting school choice success stories on The Foundry. Here are some of the ways students and parents are achieving success:

Charter schools. Watch our video to hear Lisa’s story of starting a charter school.

Education Savings Accounts (ESAs). Check out this slideshow of families who are customizing their children’s learning thanks to Arizona’s ESAs.

Vouchers. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program, which gives students from low-income families vouchers to attend private schools in the nation’s capital. These students are seeing success like never before thanks to this program.

Online learning. Students can access educational opportunities that aren’t available in their geographic areas, thanks to all the online innovation taking place.

Homeschooling. Parents and students have freedom and flexibility to pursue the type of education they want for their families. School choice is working—but it’s up to all of us to make sure government doesn’t stand in the way of these exciting developments. Visit The Foundry each day this week to learn more.

There may be a School Choice Week event going on in your area. Check out the website.

Robbi.  Your children are lucky to have a Mom dedicated to their education.  They are in good hands, will be successful in life.

Barry. Agree totally. Our kids were at private school until they priced us out with financial aid to those less fortunate. First year in public schools. I'm learning a lot. My daughter in 2nd grade they give 1-3 as their grade. Next year she starts regular grades. My son in forth. His teacher is really dedicated and one of the best in NC. We got lucky this year and it helps that I can be involved. Praying for years to come.

Robbi.  Schools are where are the problems started, with progressive union loving school boards.  Im surprised that they have not done away with grades since grades can hurt feelings.  Everyone should get A's in a progress school, everyone gets an award for participating, no reason to try, put in a effort.  Just show up, you get an award.  There are kids who clown around in classroom the entire time.  The teacher refuses to send him out to the principle, puts up with the disruption.  Principals support bad teachers, do nothing about the classroom.  Go to a school board meeting and see how many show up.  If you get a coward more than 10, its a success.  People in the majority simply don't care about good teachers, principals, school Superintendents, School Board.  They are a reflection of today's society, a small minority willing to fight to their children's education.  Its appalling, simply appalling.

Mr. Gabrielson a little off topic but did you know it already started in schools. A teacher in NC when putting in grades, lowest teacher can put in the computer system is a 60. Really not fair to children working hard! I volunteer there from time to time and teacher told me this imagine my shock and outrage. Some of these kids refuse to work saying I don't want to, everything getting worse and worse.

If you want to know about every issue, just follow the money. O'Reilly cares about ratings, ratings are about money, everything revolves around money.  Getting to the truth is not important,  same with doing things honestly and ethically. Investigative reporting is no longer important, getting to the truth, requiring the truth in answers to questions, not spin.  Did anyone think that a pathological narcissistic immoral liar would ever tell the truth?  Not in a million years.  He spun every question into his inflated ego, he does nothing wrong, every decision he makes is correct, anyone questioning him is racist., anything he does or does not do is Bush or Fox News fault.   This evil fraud looks at the world this way.  Everyone must have equal outcomes to every decision, period.  If someone is smarter, that is not equal.  Someone is faster at a race, not fair.  Losers in Capitalism, not fair.  People have more wealth, not fair.  People are taller, not fair.  Better looking than others, not fair. People are more assertive, not fair.  This fraud is questioning G-ds given attributes and skills to people, claims they are unfair, his job is to make it fair.  He believes he is above G-d, he decides what is right and what is wrong.  Great example.  If you and I go to College.  If I get an A and you get a C in let say English, then the frauds answer to fairness is they everyone should get a B, everyone wins, social justice.  If you and I are in a race, 100 yard dash, and I always win, to make it fair, you get a 10 yard lead, that is fair.  His views on fairness is immature, immoral and plain sick.   He believes that the ends justify the means, so to lie, cheat, steal, bribe, fabricate and deceive, all tools to manipulate others is acceptable, moral, the way to go to win.  This is an immoral man's position of ethics and virtue, opposite of G-d's view, opposite of any moral society.

Thank you Frank. Glad to know I'm not losing my mind. The times I catch Fox it's like watching a different station now.

     O'Reilly is only chasing ratings.

In his book Culture Warrior he identifies himself as an independent conservative, as I mentioned earlier.  Those days are long gone!  Fox News, as a whole, has become more moderate.  Some speculate it started with Murdoch's problems in England.  Since the 2012 election, I barely watch them.  I like "The Five," and used to catch reruns of it at 1 a.m. after working my second job, but now they moved it to another slot.  That is a good show.

Obama did smirk and grin a lot at each question and made sure to point out that the scandals and questions are out there because " of people like you (O'Reilly) and Fox News" then he denied everything or made it sound like a non issue. Bill tried to over talk him but one word from O stopped him each and everytime. The entire time Bill tried to make sure he asked each question he had for his talking points. And got no answers. But what was Bill going to do, rip his head off? Again 10 min waste of time.
