O'Reilly's Pre-Bowl Interview of Obama: My Take

There were a number of unflattering opinions published on the internet about how well O'Reilly handled his surprisingly brief Pre-Super Bowl interview of Obama yesterday. Not always a fan of Bill, I have to take exception to those negative appraisals of his performance. I thought he did as fine a job as any journalist could have done.

From the outset, and despite Obama's signature parsing, double-talk and filibustering, I thought O'Reilly was remarkably dogged, unflappable and in control. What made that clear to me was the frequency with which Obama defensively lashed out at FOX at nearly every turn.

Obama's embarrassing mendacity and insincerity was on full display for all honest and objective folks to see. His body language, blinking eyes, tell-tale and mechanical Cheshire cat grin, and his frequent loss of eye contact spoke volumes. For me, the interview didn't break new ground, but DID underscore--yet again--that Obama is, manifestly, a shameless, prevaricating hack, and nothing more.

When O'Reilly asked Obama about his stated desire to "fundamentally transform the USA" and why Obama felt that way, Obama quickly dodged and weaved, implying by his circuitous reply that he didn't use those words. My stomach turned.

This guy is a self-serving, amoral, pathological liar, and an incorrigible  narcissist of the first order, and he will, in fact, go down as the most morally corrupt, untrustworthy, unscrupulous and least respected chief executive in our nation's history--that is, assuming we have a history as a nation for much longer.

What is blindingly crystal clear to all but his craven sycophants is that this poor excuse for a President--and a man--needs to resign or be impeached and removed for high crimes and misdemeanors. Absolutely no question about it--at all! (Perhaps "Operation American Spring" can pull that off this summer, and for the country's sake, I sincerely hope so. GO OAS!)

So, despite all the negative commentary, to my way of  thinking O'Reilly did a creditable job. Can't imagine how he could have done better without jabbing his finger in Barry's face to evoke an unguarded response. But, let's face it. Even with that, Barry's much too instinctively serpentine to have permitted such candor and honesty.

For me, I learned nothing new. Obama was once again exposed for the charlatan and scoundrel he genuinely is.

Robbi.  Your children are lucky to have a Mom dedicated to their education.  They are in good hands, will be successful in life.

Robbi.  Schools are where are the problems started, with progressive union loving school boards.  Im surprised that they have not done away with grades since grades can hurt feelings.  Everyone should get A's in a progress school, everyone gets an award for participating, no reason to try, put in a effort.  Just show up, you get an award.  There are kids who clown around in classroom the entire time.  The teacher refuses to send him out to the principle, puts up with the disruption.  Principals support bad teachers, do nothing about the classroom.  Go to a school board meeting and see how many show up.  If you get a coward more than 10, its a success.  People in the majority simply don't care about good teachers, principals, school Superintendents, School Board.  They are a reflection of today's society, a small minority willing to fight to their children's education.  Its appalling, simply appalling.

If you want to know about every issue, just follow the money. O'Reilly cares about ratings, ratings are about money, everything revolves around money.  Getting to the truth is not important,  same with doing things honestly and ethically. Investigative reporting is no longer important, getting to the truth, requiring the truth in answers to questions, not spin.  Did anyone think that a pathological narcissistic immoral liar would ever tell the truth?  Not in a million years.  He spun every question into his inflated ego, he does nothing wrong, every decision he makes is correct, anyone questioning him is racist., anything he does or does not do is Bush or Fox News fault.   This evil fraud looks at the world this way.  Everyone must have equal outcomes to every decision, period.  If someone is smarter, that is not equal.  Someone is faster at a race, not fair.  Losers in Capitalism, not fair.  People have more wealth, not fair.  People are taller, not fair.  Better looking than others, not fair. People are more assertive, not fair.  This fraud is questioning G-ds given attributes and skills to people, claims they are unfair, his job is to make it fair.  He believes he is above G-d, he decides what is right and what is wrong.  Great example.  If you and I go to College.  If I get an A and you get a C in let say English, then the frauds answer to fairness is they everyone should get a B, everyone wins, social justice.  If you and I are in a race, 100 yard dash, and I always win, to make it fair, you get a 10 yard lead, that is fair.  His views on fairness is immature, immoral and plain sick.   He believes that the ends justify the means, so to lie, cheat, steal, bribe, fabricate and deceive, all tools to manipulate others is acceptable, moral, the way to go to win.  This is an immoral man's position of ethics and virtue, opposite of G-d's view, opposite of any moral society.

Robbi,

     O'Reilly is only chasing ratings.

In his book Culture Warrior he identifies himself as an independent conservative, as I mentioned earlier.  Those days are long gone!  Fox News, as a whole, has become more moderate.  Some speculate it started with Murdoch's problems in England.  Since the 2012 election, I barely watch them.  I like "The Five," and used to catch reruns of it at 1 a.m. after working my second job, but now they moved it to another slot.  That is a good show.

JIM ... For my money, Obummer was laughing at that loser,O'Reilly.  I like Kolb's remark best.  "What happens when you have an egomaniac interviewing a pathological liar? The Bill O'Reilly interview."  That pretty much sums it up for me.  Best always, John R.

Bill O'Reilly is not a conservative.  He used to describe himself as an "independent conservative."  He now refers to himself as an "independent moderate," I believe.  And Fox News is not conservative.  They are basically shills for the RINO-led Republican Party.

I did not see the interview, but El Rushbo was discussing it yesterday.  The most damning thing, to me, was that O'Reilly said he doesn't think Obama is a bad guy or trying to hurt anyone or hurt the country.  The most famous person on Fox blew it right there.

After Nov. 6, 2012, I barely watch Fox News anymore.  Seeing RINO pimps like Karl Rove and Democratic hacks like Juan Williams and Allan Comes is too much.  I personally wonder if Rove and the rest of them helped throw the election to Obama.  Rove was over the top in predicting blowout margins of victory for Romney, the Senate, and the House that I wonder if they helped repress the vote and keep G.O.P. voters home.

JIM ... I'll bet for everyone who feels about the O'Reilly interview as you do, there are five who thinks you're wrong.  That's just a guess but it's my opinion.  And in conclusion let me ask, do you think if Obama believed O'Reilly could have hurt him, he would have agreed to be interviewed?  I don't think so.  And calling O'Reilly a journalist is also a mistake.  Best always,  John R.

I agree wholeheartedly with the author's conclusion of the Bill  O'Reilly's interview of Obama. In fact, I feel that O'Reilly did an outstanding job considering what Obama did in repsonse - outright liar, dodging, etc.

I especially agree with what the author stated when he said that - "This guy is a self-serving, amoral, pathological liar, and an incorrigible  narcissist of the first order, and he will, in fact, go down as the most morally corrupt, untrustworthy, unscrupulous and least respected chief executive in our nation's history--that is, assuming we have a history as a nation for much longer."
