And…There it stands. Like a giant middle finger flashed in the direction of the United States…There is stands. An intercontinental
ballistic missile. In the heart of North Korea. There it stands.
They’re fueling it now. Even as this is being written that missile is being fueled.
They will launch it.
The window for that launch opens tonight and remains open for a few days. It will be launched.
If it flies over Japan, Japan has vowed to shoot it out of the sky and damn good for them.
The North Koreans say it’s to launch a satellite which would help their people but that’s a load of crap and we all know it. No satellite will help the people of North Korea.

Comment by Jim Coles on April 13, 2012 at 7:16pm Sharron...Ma'am: you don't remember right...We continued our elections during WWII when we were in fights on two major fronts and a dozen lesser fronts for our very lives...Two presidential elections and three congressional elections, including one for the Senate...then when FDR died we had a peaceful and by-law transition of power with the succession of Harry Truman (whom I got to meet during his later years in Independence, MO) ... We had resgularly scheduled elections during the Vietnam War and during all fights we've had since.
And frankly, if the nK's sent a missile toward our shores it would be a miracle...As I have detailed in two comments in this thread, everything in nK is broken...I got the specifics on their "ICBM" this afternoon -- it was a cobbled-tegether piece of 1960s junk -- SCUD engines, which are notoriously unreliable and fueled with very unstable chemicals...they probably knew their missile was a 50-50 bet, at best...they were just trying to get our attention and to extort additional food and fuel aid out of us.
North Korea is the world's junkyard -- for Stalinist regimes, for medieval feudalism, for broken social-economic systems, and overly large obsolete, dysfunctional military organizations.
I'm surprised BHO hasn't a signed a peace treaty with them and offered reparations because those boys in Pyongyang are his kind of guys.
Comment by Jimmy Johnston on April 13, 2012 at 6:35pm It used to be that way Sharron. Now days this administration only goes to war on women and whites. Any communist group, we ally.
Com'on November.
Comment by SHARRON AMSTER on April 12, 2012 at 2:19pm If I can remember right. If NK sent a missile at us we would be in war and we cant vote so OB would stay in the White House? Tell me if that is true!
Comment by John S Bacsenko IV on April 12, 2012 at 7:17am Let them try and use it....if the damned thing doesn't fall out of the sky on it's own, we can destroy it. If it does fall on US soil, we can turn N Korea into a glass desert.
Comment by Jim Coles on April 11, 2012 at 9:51pm Good hit, JpS ! ...and it's true...the nK's are real tunnel rats...
Comment by Jim Coles on April 11, 2012 at 8:54pm Billy...you're sending me a nasty follow-up or to the nKs?
Comment by Billy Bowlegs on April 11, 2012 at 8:51pm Like we use to say in the Military, F-u, i am also sending you a nasty followup.
This is the attitude we will have to employ with our own Government in the future.
Starts with the Sheriff's taking their consitutional role seriously, and protecting the "We the People" within their jurisdiction.
Comment by Jim Coles on April 11, 2012 at 8:37pm I love the allusion...middle finger! It's true.
The nK's are doing this to put pressure on the Group of Six to give them more aid...I've been in nK and have dealt with their political-military leaders (more than 15 years ago now but their program doesn't change)...they are a criminal cabal and they're a psychotic organization...very dangerous but now almost defanged...the Korean People's Army (all branches) is equipped with old junk and their troops are chronically malnourished, although they eat better and more often than the nK people...
The crazies north of the 38th Parallel can start a fight but they can't finish it...they go to war with what they have on their backs (almost literally)...they can kill a lot of South Koreans but in a fairly short time their entire military will collapse for lack of fuel, field food, ammo, spare parts...
The South Korean military is one of the best in the world and with us to back them up, it will be over fairly quickly -- 30 days or less.
The US 8th Army, 7th Air Force, 7th Fleet (based in Yokosuka, Japan but always partially deployed around Korean waters) & US Naval Forces Korea including the USMC detachment at Pohang, plus 5th Air Force based in Japan combines to make an overwhelmingly strong force...
It will be very interesting to see how the nK's decide to launch that missile...they have only a very narrow corridor that won't infringe on the air space of Russia, Japan or the US...if the Japanese shoot it down, which they've promised to do should the missile go south of Sakhalin Island, the nK's will be forced to do something because of their boasts and threats...or they will lose face and shown to be simply blowhards...the nK's know they can't win a war with our side so my guess is they'll shoot very, very carefully...and hope that their stupid act doesn't get the Kim ruling clique killed.
