Greetings!
Let's begin my Tea Party blog with a title, LiveFree/DieWealthy. Feel free to join in the discussion as we proceed on.
I will begin this topic with a brief look back at these words "LiveFree." Everyone can identify with this idea, I'm sure. Never let us forget that living "free" in America is not a guarantee nor is it a certainty to continue for our grandchildren.
Did you know that had you been born in CHINA during the last 5,000 years (up to and including today) in history, you would NOT have had ONE DAY as a "FREE" person like you have enjoyed here in America since our Independence. Actually, had you been born in INDIA, you would have HAD ONLY 60 years of "freedom" like what we have enjoyed.
Yes, it is true that some Americans were brought here to be slaves. That was a bad thing. But, I'm pleased to say that these citizens are now 'free" too to pursue their dreams. Had they been taken to China, they would still be a slave of Communism. Their kids would be raised to think Communism is somehow better for them than to one day hope to own the tools of production and hand them down to loved ones. Think of it. We must never forget that tyrants lurk in every corner of our country (maybe one or two percent of our population) who would love to take away that "freedom" we have enjoyed so that they can increase their wealth, power or prestige. I will speak to this other life more later.
Nevertheless, we are now "free." What a blessing, "freedom." We can worship as we please in public and in private. We can borrow a little seed money and start our own business to better our lot in life. Then, we can pass it on to our children to better their lot in life. We don't fear the public servants who patrol the streets at night. In many countries, these are the very people who break into homes and plunder. Despots use the law to get what they want.
Therefore, it is important to remember those who began this good work, our Founding Fathers. If you disagree with this premise, maybe you can accept that our "freedom" came from God. Creator makes more sense because here is the real beginning of it all... Our Founders agreed to honor their Creator. Let us get back that idea as soon as possible. Our very "freedom" may well depend on how fast we get on our knees.

Blaine,
I just came from your web site. Very nice. The story about the young lady was great to know with her safety. Another not so true story but very good to hear was the following: A grandmother came home to find a burglar going through her valuables. His back was to her and she yelled, "Stop...Acts 2:38. Repent so your sins can be forgiven." With that the man was frozen still and stiff. She promptly called 911 with her trusty cell phone. High tech grannies have cell phones and guns. However, this time she could not reach the gun which was too close to the man in her home doing the burglary. The policeman cuffed the criminal. On the way to the patrol care he could not resist asking the question of the day of this man in custody. "Say, why would you stop like that and not run away. You could have over taken that senior lady. She just yelled Scripture at you.
"Yelled Scripture, you say. She said she had an AXE and TWO 38s."
Scripture can save your life in more ways than one. Amen. I say keep the guns in a safe place with easy access. Let's have a "non-violent” Tea Party. However, if criminals break into our homes or attack us on streets we will protect ourselves and our families.

Great to hear that another Patriot is out there shouting...Freedom is so precious! I too think the same way. Never in the history of man has there been a more blessed people than those who live in these United States. While we will never take that for granted, we must warn our family and friends that it can go away in a day. Nevertheless, we can make a difference by our every word and good deed. Good intentions are not enough. Blessings to you and yours...Frank Landrey www.NoDictator.com
Comment by Blaine A Dunning on December 12, 2010 at 4:34pm It's something we have taken advantage of over the years, our freedom which is so vital to our everyday lives. Our founders believed us given this rights at birth and Government was only supposed to protect them.
There are too many people uneducated in thinking that Government provides the rights as well as protects them. The founders all talked about how Government was to be controlled and limited. I'll you need to know is how the Government was supposed to be restrained by the Constitution to prevent burden on the people.
There is too many looking towards the Government for the solution rather than their family, friends and God (no matter what faith you believe in) for help. Government should always be the last solution, not the first.
