KEEPING DAD ALIVE

My eighty-eight year old dad is in Florida seeing different doctors every week. It costs a ton to keep him alive. In the past our country didn’t measure the price of life. He was ipso facto worth it. The doctors wanted to keep my dad alive so that they could keep making money off their cures. Good. Let them profit by keeping him alive. I profit too.

The Democrats pretend the Affordable HealthCare Act has no death rationing panels. But death is built into the system. Doctors have no incentive in curing the infirm. Extensive care depletes their finances. They would rather cure the less costly. Let the old go; they’re going anyway. Our health becomes an accounting matter.

Whenever healthcare becomes nationalized there is no incentive for doctors to keep us alive. There is a pool of money and the doctors want to use it on the cheapest cures. They want to ration it. It’s only natural considering that the doctors do not profit from keeping the patient alive but keep more money in the pot by letting the really ill ones go.

I’d rather have a system where private doctors can profit from keeping me alive. Life was once important in this country. Before the Democrats took a left turn and threw us off the cliff of social justice. We dumped the aged in a pile of aborted babies who were too inconvenient to raise.

Give me a good old fashioned doctor to overcharge my dad but keep him alive. Don’t let Obama care come in and decide that he’s not worth it. Obama is Dr. Death, pointing his angry finger at us.

My granddaughter contracted leukemia when she was 2 1/2 years old. She is now 6, attending school, and clear of leukemia since she was 5. It cost $1,000,000 for her care in just the first year of treatment. Even with insurance, it cost my son and daughter-in-law tens of thousands that they have to pay back. Her hospital was Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. She was one of the very few whose parents had insurance and were paying, the rest were mostly hispanic, non paying and non-citizen. The free riders (at $1,000,000 per year) were too poor to provide a safe haven when their children were not in the hospital and eventually THEY ALL DIED. A sad testament to third world people and the horrendous cost of illegals health care.

So, for the past 40 Years we have had "Dr. Death" at our door.  Military doctors - the training ground for those who could not quite make it as civilians.  Active duty, large population of government controlled to be experimented on. - My case, 1975 or 76 -- you have a an operable condition "hernia" and I am scheduling you for surgery..... 1981 Retiring - Do I have a hernia.  No, and most probably never have had one.

1968 Spray from agent orange - Military classified the events to not have to be held liable.  After 30 years, no longer national security problem - declassified - You were sprayed with Agent Orange.  Meantime, bad health, recurring problems, diabetic + much more.  Now, you did not complain within 90 days of the event.  NO SHSKEY Sherlock.

Then you find out that most medications administered by Doctors are for doctor/pharmacutical profit and not for the patient.

Time Release Metformin for diagetics - contains Shellack just like on your furniture to make it hard to digest.

Metformin misture - contains Antifreeze - to slow down digestion.

Metformin plain generic el-cheapo.  The only one that will not kill you in the long run.

SO, how long has the Dr. Death scenario been going on.

Most of my adult life.

Now they want to make it totally legal to just write you off - not subject you to the 40 year death cycle.

They already have "death panels" when it comes to aborting babies so they don't have to cover them on this health care atrocity, so why wouldn't we think they would get rid of the older people too?

doctors aren,t bad people but even they are stuck in obamacare. when my girlfriend was still alive she was totally against nationalized medicine because of her family in England and tha rationing of health care there. she was also a nurse.

"Whenever healthcare becomes nationalized there is no incentive for doctors to keep us alive." Really?

Doctors are not ogres, not really out to "kill Granny". Nor do Doctors actually "want to ration Healthcare".

The simple fact is that if it's "free" everyone wants it. And some will always want all that they can get!

Doctors, nurses and others also have personal lives to live. With a never ending demand, they have no choice but to ration their time....and the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

We are beyond the point of no return already. The only solution is require all to pay for services rendered, or at least a  significant portion thereof. Force all to pay enough to make all think about whether they really need the medical services. No free lunches. Everyone actually pay "their fair share." Not just the rich, the middle class....there is really no place for indigents when it comes to matters of  life or death, and the supply truly has limits!

obamacare has a lot of things in it to steal our liberties and tax us to death. it was more about power than healthcare.

Mom is 94 and lucky.  She has a 94-year-old friend who still drives.  Maybe the 94-y-o friend is lucky because her older sister still drives at 100...  I know I'm lucky; I still have mom to call on the phone and talk to every day!  My brother wants to continue to live in Maui where those judges just took that junket; my sister wants to continue to live in Highland Park where the Syrian crook helped buy the Obama's their house; I'd like mom to keep buying the best medical care she can find until she makes it to 114...broke and happy to be so lucky!

Brilliantly done, Judson...in just a few grafs you've decimated the core of Obamacare. Awesome writing.

Don't let it happen again :-)

Excellent piece; my wife and I love it and l appreciate the tongue in cheek delivery in the beginning. We are a hollow nation to have allowed an a****** like Obama to dictate anything but a 'repeat of our order at Chucki-Cheese'.
