Jesse Jackson Claims Phil Robertson used “White Privilege” and Demands A&E Meeting

To be honest if Ronald Reagan were alive today he would smile and turn toward Jesse Jackson and say.”There he goes again.”  That is about the level of seriousness that the nation should consider in taking any utterance that comes out of the civil rights leader who is on the backend of his race-baiting crusading career. This time Jackson has directed his aim at Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson, in order to regain another 15 minutes of national shamelessness.

Rev. Jackson is demanding that A&E network executives meet with him because he and his less than significant Rainbow PUSH Coalition organization as well as the LGBT organization GLAAD still want to get 40 more pounds of flesh out of the Duck Commander, according to Fox News.

It seems that the fact that Phil Robertson has been suspended for the time being by A&E is not enough for the perturbed Jackson.  So in order to find a way to pound in another liberal mainstream nail into Duck Dynasty’s leader he has resurrected the name and imagery of legitimate Civil Right Icon Rosa Parks.

Jackson who has mastered the art of stage subterfuge claimed that what Phil Robertson said in his GQ interview amounted to being “more offensive than the bus driver in Montgomery, Alabama, more than 59 years ago, according to the Daily Mail

Never for a loss for drama and turn of phrases Jackson went on to claim further in his statement, that the 67-year-old Duck Dynasty star’s state Robertson’s statements were uttered, “freely and openly and without cover of the law, within a context of what he seemed to believe was “white privilege,” claimed Jackson

I think it all boils down to what airing contract A&E has with Mr.Robertson. Most media stations will have clauses to restrain talent from derogatory or inflaming comments that bring unwanted bad publicity to the station and some will permit a talent to speak his mind and make statements that the comments made on the show are those of the talent and not the opinions of the station.

So, as Mr. Robertson has every right to his opinions and can express them freely under the 1st Amendment (freely Mr. Jackson)it all depends on he contractual agreement and not whether you like it or not and they do not have to meet your "Demand" for a meeting. They should (and hope they would) tell you to go pound salt.

hunter60 . . . Your are Absolutely Correct!

Jesse "Wackton" doesn't understand the terminology he uses; i.e., "White Privilege" is the ability of White and Black folks to work towards a positive goal while honoring their responsibilities to the nation and the Supreme Being,

Wackton, who professes to be a Religious man, is merely a Fraud, making a living via his occupation as "Grievance Coordinator" while intimidating those who earn a living and fooling his kool-aide-addicted followers.

Wackon is simply out of-his-league when dealing with REAL AMERICANS!

Phil and America have given Wackton, GLAAD and the network a "beat-down" and they don't even know it . . . yet!

Footnote

Grievance Coordinator is also closely defined as "Community Organizer", the only skill obama possesses.

Jesse who? WTBleep is "white privilege"? Is that where white people get to go to work to have their hard earned money stolen from them at gunpoint by the professional thieves of an illegitimate government? That white privilege? Is that where the stolen proceeds of that legislated theft is then distributed via "government programs" to fat lazy scumbags who are not in the least motivated to earn a dime for themselves? That white privilege? Really? I call that a white burden and white enslavement.

Phil Robertson's opinions, his religious convictions, and his rights to both are protected by the first amendment. In the mean time A&E has said as much and the professional race hustling extortion racketeer Jackson is out of luck.

What happened with the meeting he demanded with A&E.  Guess he is not as powerful as he would like to think.

Mr. Bloomer; One cannot in good conscience "ignore" evil. To do so is to perpetuate it. We must stand against it in all of its forms. Christ is our lesson, our God, our savior, and all that we need for eternal life.

I don't much listen to what Oprah has to say, since she disavowed God and started her own mystical church.

Jesse is awfully late to the party on this one. I wondered from the outset, just where he was? My guess is he was in the Caymans, checking on all the money he fleeced from corporations by playing his favorite card...

Oprah is correct . . but she evidently doesn't realize she's indicting herself and others, like Jackson and Sharpton, who make their living running the "Grievance Game" on America.

Jackson best sharpen his game, if he hopes to converse with Phil Robertson . . . the REAL AMERICAN.

Since she left the mainstream media Oprah seems to have lost touch with America . . joining with the Race Pimps.

The entire race grievance industry has to be sent to oblivion by totally shunning and ignoring them, the minute they start this business, and Oprah, sad to say, should join that crew.  Racism is bad no matter to whom it is directed.  As Mom said: "Stop it".
