It's time to stop begging tyrants for your human ( constitutional ) rights!

First let's be clear about what we're talking about:

"human rights,

fundamental rights, esp. those believed to belong to an individual and in whose exercise a government may not interfere, as the rights to speak*, associate, work, etc.

[1785-95] " - Dictionary.com Unabridged
Based on the Random House Dictionary, © Random House, Inc. 2011.

* Keep and bear arms, etc.

and from: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/tyrant :

ty·rant

noun \ˈtī-rənt\

Definition of TYRANT

1

a : an absolute ruler unrestrained by law or constitution

b : a usurper of sovereignty

The founders of this country were oh, so polite to King George, and it didn't work, did it.

It didn't work because begging tyrants never works. They are tyrants and they are in power over the people that they consider children, serfs, subjects and slaves. Why would they have to do anything that they didn't already wish to do? Please to do. People in that position can do whatever they please.

Over the twenty or so years that I've been in the RKBA - Right to Keep And Bear Arms movement, I've seen countless "calls for action", to write legislators, etc. And the people calling us to action always urge us to "be polite", to say "please" and be kind to the tyrants as we beg them to retain just some of our human rights, as they destroy some others and keep coming back for more.

Well I've come to think that this is a mistaken strategy and I won't apologize for thinking this.

First of all, let's examine that word "please".

please  (pl z)

v. pleased, pleas·ing, pleas·es

v.tr.

1. To give enjoyment, pleasure, or satisfaction to; make glad or contented.

2. To be the will or desire of: May it please the court to admit this firearm as evidence.

v.intr.

1. To give satisfaction or pleasure; be agreeable: waiters who try hard to please.

2. To have the will or desire; wish: Do as you please. Sit down, if you please.

adv.

1. If it is your desire or pleasure; if you please. Used in polite requests: Please stand back. Pay attention, please.

2. Yes. Used in polite affirmative replies to offers: May I help you? Please.

[Middle English plesen, from Old French plaisir; see pleasant.]

It's partially derived from French - you remember, synonymous with "surrender monkeys", socialists and happy serviles ( Most of the English have also always been bred to be happy serviles ). The French say "s'il vous plaît", meaning, "if you please".

Well I just don't think that begging for our rights, saying "if you please", is the way Americans should be working their tails off to demand that we retain these things called "rights", which we hold are derived from the very fundamental principle of  ownership of our own lives - we own our lives, dictators, kings or collectives don't own them. We hold that our rights aren't bestowed upon us by kings, dictators or various other forms of tyrants.

When I see legislators, even Supreme Court "Justices" using the term that the Constitution "grants" us a right, it about makes my head explode!

So why should we have to beg and implore these people, who most of us by now have lost all respect for, to try to retain some shreds of our rights?

"Oh please dear Representative, don't vote for those gun and magazine bans, or those taxes and background checks on my rights, that it says "shall not be infringed". Pretty please? If you please?..."

Doesn't that just gall you? Like finger nails on a chalk board? It feels that way because we're Americans, these are our birth rights that these tyrants are slowly taking away, and we shouldn't fricking have to beg anyone for them!

The following is a letter that an acquaintance of mine just emailed to a handful of Democrat Colorado legislators, and the Governor. I fully agree with the tone of it. One of the "Representatives" already emailed her back, claiming that the four gun control laws presently being considered are "gun safety" laws. Her response follows, and I fully agree with that too.

_____________

IT SEEMS UNLIKELY THAT YOU REALIZE JUST HOW FURIOUS YOU'RE MAKING THE VOTERS OF THE UNITED STATES WHO STILL SUPPORT THE CONSTITUTION!

Gun control laws have never worked and never will, all they do is destroy the Constitution further, which a lot of us think is what you Progressive Socialists WANT!

If you want a reputation as ANYTHING BUT a TYRANT, DO NOT PASS THESE GUN CONTROL LAWS BEFORE YOU NOW!!!

"Just before the House vote (on the crime bill), Speaker Tom Foley and majority leader Dick Gephardt had made a last-ditch appeal to me to remove the assault weapons ban from the bill. They argued that many Democrats who represented closely divided districts had already...defied the NRA once on the Brady bill vote. They said that if we made them walk the plank again on the assault weapons ban, the overall bill might not pass, and that if it did, many Democrats who voted for it would not survive the election in November. Jack Brooks, the House Judiciary Committee chairman from Texas, told me the same thing...Jack was convinced that if we didn't drop the ban, the NRA would beat a lot of Democrats by terrifying gun owners....Foley, Gephardt, and Brooks were right and I was wrong. The price...would be heavy casualties among its defenders." (Pages 611-612)

"On November 8, we got the living daylights beat out of us, losing eight Senate races and fifty-four House seats, the largest defeat for our party since 1946....The NRA had a great night. They beat both Speaker Tom Foley and Jack Brooks, two of the ablest members of Congress, who had warned me this would happen. Foley was the first Speaker to be defeated in more than a century. Jack Brooks had supported the NRA for years and had led the fight against the assault weapons ban in the House, but as chairman of the Judiciary Committee he had voted for the overall crime bill even after the ban was put into it. The NRA was an unforgiving master: one strike and you're out. The gun lobby claimed to have defeated nineteen of the twenty-four members on its hit list. They did at least that much damage...." (Pages 629-630)

"One Saturday morning, I went to a diner in Manchester full of men who were deer hunters and NRA members. In impromptu remarks, I told them that I knew they had defeated their Democratic congressman, Dick Swett, in 1994 because he voted for the Brady bill and the assault weapons ban. Several of them nodded in agreement." (Page 699)

- Bill Clinton

Are you Democrats looking to repeat that again?!

One "Representative" repied, and her answer follows it here:

> Dear [her name],

>

> Thank you for contacting me.  After much reflection, reviewing the many

> emails I received, talking to many people, I decided to support the four

> gun safety bills today because I believe they move us further down the path of

> striking that balance between protecting our second amendment rights with

> concerns for public safety.

>

> I appreciate hearing from so many people, and look forward to invigorating

> conversations in the future.

>

> Sincerely,

>

> Representative Tracy Kraft-Tharp

They're not "safety" bills, "Representative", no one will be safer because of them.

They're unconstitutional tyranny, and by supporting them, you will be known as a tyrant!

______________________________

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Children, serfs and slaves beg for privileges, free adult people shouldn't have to beg for their rights! They're already yours! Own them!

And you'll notice that it never does any good anyway - you'll get the same canned response as my acquaintance did, because these are condescending tyrants and they see you as children, serfs, subjects and slaves to be dealt with as they please!

So I think it's time to take off the kid gloves with these tyrants. Start calling them what they really are. Use the same kinds of tactics that the Marxists used against the bankers, to get them to make bad loans to people who couldn't afford mortgages, thereby causing the mortgage collapse. ( which they then blamed on capitalism and Bush, of course! ) They showed up at their banks, even at their homes, scaring their children. They got in their faces, loudly.  And it worked.

The same should be done to these tyrants, only this time it will be for the cause of saving our Constitution and our nation - a big difference! These techniques aren't, in and of themselves "evil", they are aggressive use of power. Like any power, they can be used for good or evil. In the case of the mortgage bankers, they were used for evil and our nation suffered greatly from it. I'm proposing that they be used for good, to save our Constitution and our nation.

Stop begging and imploring tyrants to keep your rights!

Your rights belong to you, and they are destroying them!

If they were taking your mother, your sister, or one of your children, you wouldn't beg them with "please"!

Confront them. Get right up in their faces, wherever they appear, even demonstrate at their homes if necessary.

Make it clear to them, that if they ever want to have any chance at a peaceful, happy life, they must reverse what they've been doing for the last 100 years, and obey our Constitution!

What are we waiting for?

Colorado has given itself over to the insanity of leftism!

I've certainly never begged for my rights and I'm not about to start now. Our founders understood Aristotle's natural law and the idea that a human being has inalienable rights as a natural consequence of his/her existence. One of those rights is the right to his/her life and the unavoidable corrollary to that is the right to defend it. The idea that elitists in government dictate how and even when I can defend myself stands in direct opposition to our founders ideas as expressed in the second amendment. The idea that a leftist can stand in the Colorado State House and actually state that women don't need guns to defend against rape is enough for me. They passed their gun control package, now it's up to us to MAKE THEM PAY politically.

I have a wife and a daughter, they require guns to defend against rape, assault, and any other violence peropetrated against them. More importantly they need guns to defend against these leftist spawned mass murderers in Aurora and Conn.. What Democrats have done is seek to make everyone in Colorao the victim of violent crime!

We can start working on the 2014 election cycle now and work diligently to take the left to the woodshed here in Colorado. More importantly we need to start making efforts on recalls ASAP. There must be retribution for this mindless act against the rights of the citizens of Colorado!

We call them forced-collectivists, and forced-collectivism inevitably ends this way.

Dave we got here through indoctrination, of course.  Through several generations of it now is my guess. The communists/socialists/progressives/liberals (whatever the hell they are) have had all these years since Teddy to go about making all the undercover changes they wanted.  The Republican establishment is just that, an establishment.  No more caring about their constituents than they do about what color the seats are on the House floor.  So long as they can get the moolah, they will keep their seats and power and use RINO tactics to manipulate us and give in to the Democrats all the while pleading and saying "But there must be some way to compromise".  what a crock!!  They are the clueless cheaters.  We pay them to stay faithful to us and then they sell out like cheap hookers on New Year's Eve.  Sorry.  We need new blood and it will not be either Democrat or Republican.

I thank God for the Tea Party and I know that there are STILL PEOPLE trying to make a difference to preserve the Constitution and the values that made this such an amazing place to live.  Also, I just wanted to point out that history has shown that tyrannical governments always get worse before they get better .  We need to be able to protect ourselves and hold onto our morals and values at the same time.

How did we get here? We were busy being good, productive citizens who were supporting our families, raising our children as we were raised, and we assumed that those that we elected to "represent" us, were doing their job. (And we were being pleasant.)
In 2008/2009, we suddenly recognized that we were doing our job, but the DC crowd was not doing theirs.

Is anyone monitoring this site?  There is ugly racial stuff being put on this site ,that does not represent the TeaParty or it's ideas.  I object.  It may be sabotage, people choosing to make us look bad, or it may be someone with such radical ideas that they should be monitored.

Joe,

That video lacked the "Now, here's what you need to do to fix things" part.

We're talking past one another.  And I still don't have a way of contacting you.  Maybe I'll try through TPNation.

Good luck.

Thank you,

Cold Warrior

Volunteer Patriot,

What, exactly, are we supposed to do about "National Debt = Slavery?"

Thank you,
