This election season is shaping up to be one of the dirtiest and sleaziest ever. It should be readily apparent to anyone with two functioning grey cells or more who is responsible for driving this thuggish behavior. As a kid growing up, I can still remember those cries of fighting the, "mean Republican attack machine," as if that actually existed. I guess that karma is holding all Republicans responsible for Richard Nixon's dalliances into the world of organized mud slinging, but he was a piker compared to the tactics employed by one Chicago produced Barack Hussein Obama.
Something else to consider, while Nixon's dirty tricks were mostly college pranks and three ill advised felonious actions resulting in the arrest and conviction of G. Gordon Liddy, Every Democrat since that time has been worse by several orders of magnitude, all while pulling the victim card and complaining of unwarranted Republican attacks. From Ted Kennedy's infamous, "Bork's America," speech all the way to Harry Reid's Romney hasn't paid taxes for ten years meme, nothing compares to the depravity of this little gem, released from Priorities USA.
Putting aside the easy to check facts and fantasy concerning the truthfulness of this ad, once again we get a rare glimpse into the real vision Obama and his ilk have for where they want to take this country, and that vision ain't pretty. Factually this is too easy. Team Zero labeled Mitt Romney a heartless murderer. GST was heading out of business before Bain came in, at GST's request. The action taken by Bain prolonged the GST death for a little over four years. Mitt Romney left Bain in 1999, GST went under for real in 2001. The reason why Bain pulled the plug officially in 2001 was that the unions refused to give up their contracted ability to bleed Bain dry. Soptic's wife had full time employment with another employer at the time, a position she held until 2003. She passed away in 2006. Not a single element of the story told in this ad is true. What's more, it is the single most heartless politicization of personal tragedy in human history, and let's not forget that within this century we have already witnessed the New Jersey Four celebrating their husband's deaths in the 911 tragedy in order to help elect John Kerry. This ad is wrong on so many levels that it would be impossible to get it all mentioned in one single article.
Set that aside however, and take the gander once again into Barack Obama's vision for America that this ad provides. Do we really want to live in that America? An America where any time a business goes under, no matter how much money they are losing, will somehow be held responsible for the continued health of all of their employees for the remainder of time itself? Think of that for one moment. Who in the world would ever start a business again knowing that once any former employees get sick and God forbid pass away, as eventually they all will, each and every one of them, charges of murder will be forthcoming? Do you believe this to be hyperbole? Listen to the ad again. It makes clear that in Joe Soptic's world, Mitt Romney is responsible for the death of his wife. He excuses himself from any responsibility, having had a full 5 years after GST's demise to do something about his situation.
Even with that however, we are still missing the point, which is this. This particular group of Democrats, not all of them, just the radical leftists who have taken over the Party, really hate American Free Enterprise in general and successful business leaders in particular. In Barack Obama's world view, anyone who wishes to run a profitable business or create a little piece of wealth for themselves is an enemy to the Dystopian society of government largess that he wishes to inflict. This is nothing more than another one of his honest moments allowing us a peek into the populist snake oil of building a dependent class that he wishes to make all citizens a part of. In Obama's America, all people are genetically preprogrammed to steal from their fellow man and will continue stealing from a finite amount of resources until a benevolent big brother government steps in to protect the weaker group of citizens who are being crushed under the rapacious boot of the robber baron class. Anyone who wishes to free themselves from the beneficent care of the nanny state is an enemy of the collective.
Joe Soptic's wife did not pass away because she did what all people eventually do, which is to reach the end of their life as a part of the natural course of living. She passed away because in the game of life, where there is only so much of a pie to be sliced up amongst the masses, Mitt Romney kept too large of a slice for himself. The only people in Obama's America who are allowed to have a larger slice of that pie, are those self anointed elites who get to determine the fair distribution for the rest of us schlubs. Notice also who is not held responsible for the people who lost their health care due to an executive's decision. Those poor folks working in GM and Chrysler Dealerships that were shut down by team Zero for not being owned by politically connected campaign donors. Many of them were profitable dealerships, and their existence did not cost either manufacturer a single dime. As it turns out, if a government is guilty of doing this heinous thing, well then, the ensuing cases of cancer are deemed suddenly to be better for the collective society as a whole.
Be mighty careful how you vote in November America. This election is not the usual, "they're all the same anyhow," elections. We are at a real cross roads, and the goal to fundamentally transform America so that it resembles Nikita Khrushchev's Soviet Union is closer than anyone realizes.

Comment by Billy Bowlegs on August 9, 2012 at 1:17pm Sorry James,
I asked a simple question. Which side of the fence so we will understand. You answered your own question with more questions! Stop gaming. FENCE Please! I am a staunch conservative even more so than most - can squeeze a bufallo nickle and get change for a Buffalo quarter.
Comment by James Knost on August 9, 2012 at 11:56am Lets try it again hopefully without the garbage. To Sumsanity. Didn't think I saw Hanity's response. Went to his web page and watched Coulter:'This is a repulsive, despicable ad'. If that is what you are referring to then yes I saw that the other night. It stated that the ad blames Bain & Romney for Mrs. Soptic's death. I disagree. The ad did not state blame. However, the ad is deceptive and inferring to lead one to that conclusion. Maybe I am wrong but that is way I see it. I agree with and have no problem with the rest of your response after that. I still have a problem with your beginning statement 'This ad is a lie through and through'. Again the ad is deceptive and omits facts, but I still cannot relate that it is a lie through and through. The omitting of data does not make what is relayed a lie. There many more adjectives and adverbs I could use to describe how horrendous(gee there's another one) this ad really is. I don't think name calling and insults to someone who disagrees does a tea party or patriot group movement any good. Sure don't want 'em to go the way of The American Liberty League. Thank for your response.

Comment by Sumsanity on August 9, 2012 at 9:19am Sorry Mr. Knost. This ad is a lie through and through. Hannity explained quite well. Mr. Soptic lost his job after Bain Capital shut the money losing venture down. Mrs. Soptic still had her own insurance for another year. She got sick, thought she had a cold or the flu and went to the Doctor. They found she was already terminally ill with cancer. She died 22 days later and would have died 22 days later whether she had health insurance or not, whether Mr. Soptic had health insurance or not, whether Bain Capital shut down the plant or not. Whether Mitt Romney was the president of Bain Capital or not.
She would have died whether Barack Obama was a lying POSOTUS or not. Which he is.
Unlike others I wish we would get more contrary opinions like yours that question the TEA Party's motives. I welcome them. I used to loved debating the issues with the looney tune left on the Huffington Post and the Daily Beast. It was like B slapping idiots. But they couldn't handle it and banned me for calling Barney Frank a pervert who should go back to the homosexual whorehouse that was run out of his Boston townhouse by his live in male prostitute boyfriend.
Some people can't take the truth. I cherish it.
They had used this Mr. Soptic in two different ads, on bain capital, You would at least have him change his shirt, these D'crats can not even get a falsehood right. We should not be bickering amoung ourselves, and name calling. It does not do us any good at all. If there is a troll as you say out there, then so be it. Along as we stick to the truth on the issues then we have nothing to worry about, right? United we stand, divided we fall,

Comment by John Wiseman on August 8, 2012 at 9:43pm James Knost, just in case you really are this stupid, here it is. First lie, that Mitt Romney made the decision to shut down GST in 2001, as he was no longer working for Bain Capital at the time. Second lie, that Bain maliciously shut down GST in 2001. The fact is, absent Bain putting its own capital at risk in 1997, GST would have been shut down in that year. It was the malfeasance of the Union, of which Joe Soptic was an official, that ultimately forced GST to close its doors. Third lie, that GST's closure was what forced Mrs. Soptic to have lost her insurance, which she actually had through her own full time job which she kept until 2003. Fourth Lie, that even if Mitt Romney had had anything to do with the GST closure in 2001, he would in any way, shape or form be responsible for Mrs. Soptic's health at any point in time, let alone 5 full years after GST closed.
