If You Have No Moral Compass, What Compass Do You Have?

There is a frantic drive to remove all discussion or reference to religion from the public square. The enemies of our Republic know that we cannot survive if they can divide us and convince young people that the only morality that matters is whatever feels good and that saying you have compassion for the less fortunate is just as good as actually doing something about it or that it is not how you get good grades, just that you do.

The increase in pressure to remove religion is strategically timed. The principle tool our enemies use is our own justice system and that tool is particularly effective now that local governments’ and many churches’ finances are in such poor condition that the threat of a law suit is all it takes to get the “offending” party to capitulate because there just is not enough money to defend their rights.

When the President can declare that we are no longer a Christian country and that our traditional values must be suppressed while judges embrace the values of another society to influence court decisions, we should be in open but peaceful rebellion, not cowering in fear of being called Islamaphobic or homophobic or racist.  We should be putting up more crosses and Stars of David and rallying physically and with our money to defend whomever is attacked because of our collective Constitutional actions.  The First Amendment was not put there to protect government or others from the influences of religion but to protect us from the tyranny of the government. (Paraphrase from R. Reagan)

When we see articles like Atheist Threatens Suit Over RI Firehouse Cross  we should all be emailing, mailing or phoning the person or entity who was attacked urging them to defend their rights in court and offering to contribute to a defense fund should they choose to start one! The loss of anyone’s right is the loss of all our rights.

In case you have not noticed, our first amendment rights, in addition to freedom of religion, prohibit the government from inhibiting our freedom of speech and the press but the political left in this country, personified by Barack Obama, his administration and the organizations that support him, have been on a nonstop campaign to do just that. They have systematically attempted to segregate, through name calling, physical intimidation and threats of government legal action, anyone who would mention religion or complain about the left’s attempts to legitimize lifestyles and activities that are outside of the mores held by a large majority of the citizenry. They want to convince the majority that their long held beliefs are wrong and that those of the minority are right. The Statist Left expect you and me to subsidize, with our tax money, the indoctrination of our own children and grandchildren to believe that humans are destroying the earth and therefore need to be controlled like weeds; that two of anything make a marriage and that sex of any description is perfectly normal.

The beginnings of the thought police are in our hate crime laws and the indications are that this slippery slope will steepen if the left maintains control of the Executive Branch through the next election. The Left knows that the removal of our moral compass will leave the Ship of State adrift and ripe for the picking.

In the quiet of the morning when the days absurdities have not yet clouded my mind, I wonder what those people say to their children when asked; “Mommy, why am I here?”  Could it be that an inadequate answer to that question is what causes so many teens to give up on life?

If you would like an uplifting video reminder of the promise our Constitutional First Amendment protections have provided us since the beginning and what is available to us now for the taking, spend a few minutes here http://www.youtube.com/embed/OvN1jTkzXbY?rel=0 then do something!

In public school Christians have been silenced. Therefore, I will not tolerate Islam being taught in Public Schools.

Chas- makes no sense to me what you said- It contradicts itself.- You can believe what you want but those that see it a little differently are just as moral and good as you. As long as we realize we "are endowed by the creator" with certain rights- and not by the state or the dictators or the Federal Government- THIS IS What BHO WANTS TO DO- TOTALLY TRANSFORM OUR COUNTRY- HE SAID IT AND HE IS DOING IT! It is terrifying to realize so many don't get it. I watched a great netflix movie last night - Sarah's Key- what society accepts and then it is too late.  and about Romney- sad the establishment got their way but we need to grow the Tea Party and not just type but work at the local levels but if we get BHO -Game Over-well Romney is NOT A MARXIST- IS NOT AN ANTI AMERICAN TERRORIST -IS NOT ANTI FAMILY- DOES NOT BOW TO DICTATORS -WILL NOT HIRE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD AND GIVE THEM POSITIONS IN HIS ADMINISTRATION DOES NOT HAVE HOLDER, JONES JENNINGS AND ALL THE OTHER RADICAL CZARS AS FRIENDS - AND BETTER DAMN WELL FRILL BABY DRILL- WE HAVE THE MEANS TO SEE AND WATCH THEIR MOVES NOW. IF I HAVE TO VOTE ROMNEY I SURE THE HECK WILL.

God, our Creator, has revealed Himself and His teaching in the Holy Bible. I personally hold with the declaration of the difference between Christianity and religion: religion is mans attempts to define and reach god while Christianity is God's actions to redeem and restore man to God. To me, Christians are followers of God and His WORD.

We ought all be reminded that many of the original 13 States in our united States adopted "State religions." The 1st amendment to our constitution was intended specifically to prevent the creation or designation of a "national church" by the federal government, such as existed in Great Britain, France and many other nations. Additionally, the 1st amendment declared the inalienable Right of each individual to worship and follow God in accord with their own conscience.

Ronald Reagan was a true Gift from God to our republic and to our people.

Our nation needs another "Great Awakening," a turning of the people away from sin and back to God. I pray regularly for this as it is the only Way we will have any Hope of restoring our constitutional republic and "the Rule of valid Law."

Carol Williams, you are so right, Christianity and true believers is what made this Nation's Freedom.

This Nation allows so many Choices, Opportunities and Liberties for all willing to using their own Tools and Knowledge. This treasure of being, is what brings so many foreigners, believers and non-believers to our shores. Yes, Christianity has always been the better choice and religion. Thank God!

Bureaucratic Army. Remember his campaign speech?

In the last three years numerous domestic US government agencies have ordered a total of over 750 million rounds of .40 caliber ammunition.

That’s right, multiple government agencies that specifically operate primary inside the United States have gone on a literal ammunition spending spree in preparation for what they must believe will be some sort of violent event.

In 2009, Winchester Ammunition was awarded a contract to supply the Department of Homeland Security with 200 million rounds of .40 caliber hollow point ammunition.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Winchester Ammunition was recently awarded a contract by the Immigration, Customs and Enforcement (ICE) division of the Department of Homeland Security to supply a maximum of 200 million, 40 cal. rounds over the next five years. Source

This huge ammunition order was apparently only the beginning.

In early March 2012 ATK won an indefinite delivery contract to supply DHS with a whooping 450 million more .40 caliber hollow point rounds.

ATK has secured a major Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity deal to supply up to 450 million rounds of .40 caliber ammunition to the Department of Homeland Security.

The 1 year contract with four option years comes at a time when many Americans believe that DHS, along with certain aspects of the military, will soon turn their sights on the American people during some sort of martial law scenario.

We are proud to extend our track record as the prime supplier of .40 caliber duty ammunition for DHS, ICE,” said Ron Johnson, the president of ATK’s Security and Sporting group,” reported a PR Newswire release.

The Department of Homeland Security is not the only US agency openly stocking up on .40 caliber ammo.

In November 2011 the FBI posted a request to the FBO.gov website for up to 100,000,000 rounds of hollow point ammunition.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reserves the right to make multiple award under RFP-OSCU-TD2WP7101 for a fixed price indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity type contract.

The anticipated period of performance will be for one (1) base year and four (4) possible one-year options. The contractor will provide commercial, “off-the-shelf” .40 caliber ammunition compatible with pistols currently used by the FBI.

Not to be left out of the ammunition stocking spree, the US Forest Service recently purchased 320,000 rounds of ammo and, for their part, the US Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking an additional 13,500 rounds.

Added: Sept 28, 2011 5:15 pm

(1) 40 caliber, 180 grain, 120,000 rounds or equivalent,
(2) 9 mm, 124 grain, 50,000 rounds or equivalent,
(3) .38 caliber, 135 grain, 10,000 rounds or equivalent,
(4) .380 caliber, 90 grain, 6,000 rounds or equivalent,
(5) .223 caliber, 64 grain, 87,500 rounds or equivalent,
(6) 12 gauge 00 buck, 15,000 rounds or equivalent,
(7) 40 caliber frangible, 10,000 rounds or equivalent,
(8) 9 caliber frangible, 10,000 rounds or equivalent,
(9) .223 caliber frangible, 10,000 rounds or equivalent,
(10) 12 gauge 1 oz slug, 7,500 rounds or equivalent

The cartridges shall be delivered to Albuquerque, NM.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services require the following items, Exact Match Only, to the following:

1. Remington Frangible .40 Caliber Pistol Ammunition – 2,500 rounds

2. Remington .40 Caliber Pistol Ammunition (180 grain) Full Metal Jacket – 6,000 rounds

3. Remington .223 Caliber Rifle Ammunition (62 grain) Full Metal Jacket – 3,000 rounds

4. Remington FX Marking Cartridges (9 mm) – 2,000 rounds

Why is the US government buying millions of rounds of hollow point bullets specifically for use in domestic operations while at the same time attempting to label everyday gun owning Americans as possible terrorists?

Just curious; how would you respond if the Muslim majority in Dearborn, Michigan wanted to have all taxpayer-funded public school students (of multiple religions) learn the Koran and open the school day with prayers to Allah? Would that be OK?

Personally, I'd rather see parents decide for their kids what religious texts they should read, instead of the school board or a teacher. I wouldn't want my kid being taught to pray to Mary at a public school!

I have seen "Expelled", a very good movie... and as it happens, our local Tea Party is showing it tonight at our monthly M4P (Movies for Patriots) meeting.  Since it has been awhile since I saw it, I'm looking forward to seeing it again.

Carol, if I may respectfully ask, can you describe what a "Secular Christian" is?

well to Carol Williams - faith yes is very important and I think that a narrow minded version of faith is what one turns against- I am so involved in Dossey's ideal and I subscribe to that- Your dismissal of what  mirror neurons is is demeaning- I think it is highly significant and by no means limits faith. What I said in my first post is that people do not realize their spirituality- they either feel like it is hocus pocus or they feel like it is this God dictating and having a plan for you. Those who think it is nonsense become lost and have no moral compass. They have no core- I believe BHO has no core- just his black liberation theology- which is at the core of everything he does- very dangerous man as is his defenders who have very high posts in his administration.
