Many states will be impacted by this election.  Because of the number of textbooks that Texas orders, many other states use the same textbooks.  The Texas State Board of Education recently approved revised standards for English, Science, and Social Studies. These revisions were all completed under the guidance of a Conservative Majority.  The SBOE is currently in the process of adopting new Math standards. 

Don McLeroy was a fearless conservative on the Board; but unfortunately at the last election, he was replaced by a wealthy, moderate lobbyist for Microsoft Corporation.  My opponents in this primary are all moderate Republicans.  The incumbent has voted with the Democrats as much or more than with the Conservatives.  Another candidate was on the board for 26 years and also was a swing vote.  The 3rd candidate is retired from the textbook publishing industry and may have some vested interests in being an SBOE member.

I am the only true conservative running and the only person who has been active in the Tea Parties since their inception.  I am not only running against big money but against candidates who meet regularly with the ACLU, Texas Freedom Network, and other liberal organizations.  Because of the national influence of Texas textbooks, this is truly a national race.  There have also been indications that if the liberals can achieve a majority, they are likely to re-open the English, Science, and Social Studies standards to roll back all of the hard work by the conservatives on the Board.

Your kind assistance will be greatly appreciated and will positively impact the entire nation with the development of new curricula influenced by conservative thought.  In the next few years, the Texas SBOE will be adopting Health standards, and we must make sure that a conservative majority of SBOE members sets the new sex education standards.

One of the key areas where we conservatives have been asleep at the wheel is education.  For nearly a century, we have permitted liberals to infiltrate our academic institutions and control the narrative of public discourse.  We must ensure that our children are learning the complete truth about our nation, not only its errors.  We must ensure that all of our children have academic skills commensurate with the challenges of the future.
