The following is an excerpt from the Texas Republican News. THIS SAYS IT ALL

Cornyn hammered Cruz's  opposition to raising Obama's debt limit in an Austin American Statesman interview published Friday, titled "John Cornyn: For the sake of the nation and the GOP, Ted Cruz’s filibuster had to be shut down."
"Obviously I would have loved for Ted and I to be exactly two peas in a pod on everything," said Cornyn, but "he chose the ugly alternative."
When asked why he chose to vote with Democrats to raise Obama's debt limit,  Cornyn told the Austin American Statesman, "I don’t think anybody, including me, had the appetite" to fight Obama.
Cruz launched a filibuster to stop the measure, and the debt limit increase was going to  fail.  That's when Cornyn joined Democrats in voting against Cruz.  Cornyn's vote bailed out Obama's debt limit increase.
The measure Cornyn supported completely eliminated any limit on the national debt until March of 2015

Senator Cornyn has made similar not-so-obvious statements in the past. He basically claimed that the GOP could not do much unless they are in the majority.

If anyone had any doubt about the war between the American people and its government, those doubts should be eliminated. Our battle has to start in the primaries. We must elect people that are willing to fight every battle. Unless we are successful, we will be at war with leaders like Senator Cornyn(the #2 republican in the senate). You must ask yourself HOW DIFFICULT WOULD IT HAVE BEEN TO PASS A DEBT LIMIT BILL WITH A REAL LIMIT INSTEAD OF THE NO LIMIT BILL THE GOP LEADERS SUPPORTED.

When both Partys aid Obama toward accomplishing the "Cloward-Piven Strategy of Orchestrated Crisis" that he once lectured on, we have a serious problem.    Are Dims and Republicans alike unaware of Cloward-Piven's objective - or are they simply ignorant of its existence and/or Obama's fascination with it?    How many readers here share that ignorance?

Thomas Sowell - Cruz Control? Part II
Senator Ted Cruz is a hero in some Republican circles -- and the opposite among many of his Senate Republican colleagues.

Why are the pundit and political class attacking Ted Cruz for keeping his election promises?

Keep in mind that Ted Cruz ran on supporting the RULE - BY - LAW principles of the Constitution and the LIMITS it places on the Federal Government. He is a real Constitutional Lawyer with 8 or more Supreme Court cases tried by him. So if the Congress attempts to SPEND money outside the limits of Article I section 8 then how is he doing the wrong thing.

It becomes clear that the existing Congress had no intention of honoring their OATH OF OFFICE to uphold and defend the limits of the Constitution and the Rights and Liberties of the States and then the people. No, the elected from each State do not constitute a TRIBUNAL OF TOTAL POWER that has no limits using the Commerce clause and the general welfare clause.

Ted Cruz stood tall and reminded them of the limits of the Constitution and they did not like that one bit. Who is correct the Usurping Congress members or Ted Cruz?

“The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.” ~Alexis de Tocqueville

I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents. – Annals of Congress (1794-01-10) James Madison

Exactly what is our government funding that justifies indenturing our children and generations yet unborn?   As founder John Adams said: "There are two ways to enslave a country: one is by the sword; the other is by debt."

Did anyone notice the "government shutdown" letting out 200,000 NON-CRITICAL federal employees?   Why are they nursing off our taxes?    How does our military and federal employee salaries compare.    I know some local active duty airmen with families on food stamps, but don't see that among the bureaucrats.

Early votes may indicate some cheating in Texas

The GOP didn't want a real limit. They are still using accounting tricks to hide debt through the primaries. If they max out the accounting tricks and they reach the debt limit, the government would go directly into default on it's obligations. By choosing March 2015, the dollar amount doesn't affect acounting tricks. The incumbents can hide how bad the debt really is. The debt sure did go up slowly from 12/2/13 through 2/18/14. Coincidentally, there's enough accounting tricks left to hide $200 billion more in debt, enough to get the RINO's through the primaries by fooling the public into thinking the government is only borrowing $1 trillion in 2014, instead of $1.4 trillion. The economic numbers are bad, so the RINOs will be punished for cooking the books. Maybe next December 31st we'll find out the real debt.

I called the RNC a while back and complained - but all they had on the phone was a little old lady who agreed with me - I doubt anyone big listens to us.

"We're not just waiting for legislation, "I have a pen and I have a phone"...

“No one believes more firmly than Comrade Napoleon that all animals are equal. He would be only too happy to let you make your decisions for yourselves. But sometimes you might make the wrong decisions, comrades, and then where should we be?”
― George Orwell, Animal Farm

"Now I will tell you the answer to my question. It is this. The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power. What pure power means you will understand presently.

We are different from the oligarchies of the past in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives.

They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just around the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal.

We are not like that. We know what no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end.

One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now you begin to understand me.” ― George Orwell, "Nineteen Eighty-Four" written in 1948 for consumption in the UK and USA.

It was only a few years later when Senator Joseph McCarthy said:

"You are seeing today an all out attempt to marshal the forces of the opposition, using not merely the communists, or their fellow travelers-the deluded liberals, the eggheads, and some of my good friends in both the Democratic and Republican Parties who can become heros over night in the eyes of the left-wing press if they will just join with the jackal pack" ~ Joseph McCarthy

Joe was right then, and he is still right!
