"The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to review a challenge to a “false statement” law in Ohio that lets bureaucrats decide on the truthfulness of political ads, according to a group that had been targeted under the law."

We need another revolution -- throw the entire government out, and start over from scratch.

The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to review a challenge to a “false statement” law in Ohio that lets bureaucrats decide on the truthfulness of political ads, according to a group that had been targeted under the law.

“We are thrilled at the opportunity to have our arguments heard at the Supreme Court and hope that not only will SBA List’s First Amendment rights be affirmed, but those of all Americans,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of SBA List.

Well, from some articles I have read today, Obama didn't did not even graduate high school.  Sounds, from the remarks Feinstein has made about the First Amendment, that she didn't graduate high school EITHER!!!.  She is 80 years old, I think, so it's probably true and she doesn't know what she is talking about.

I disagree.  I think the only reason those guys are still around is that they can hide behind "freedom of the press."  Plus, Diane Feinstein won't try to define what a "journalist" is if it doesn't matter.

@Ernest Lane:  Did you really mean that how it sounds?  Curtailing freedom of the press didn’t work out too well in the USSR, China, North Korea, Germany, Iran, Iraq,….  It just resulted in fake news and malicious lies, while the real news and truthtellers were suppressed and punished.  I fear we would be left with MSNBC, Huffington Post, Al Jazeera, and the like.

In my view, the best solution is not to have "freedom of the press" at all.  I think that the mainstream media is so bad they just don't deserve protection.

I BELIEVE MARTHA CONNER has the right idea.  Recall this woman.  She is obviously not firing on all burners.  Best always, John R.

This senator obviously has some serious emotional issues, as well as having difficulty comprehending the Bill of Rights. She should probably be recalled since she can not perform her duties appropriately, defending the Constitution which she has taken an oath to defend.

One has to wonder why Ms. Feinstein is worried about the average citizen starting a news outlet, and protecting his sources.  Isn't this just another indication of her disdain for "Mr. and Mrs. America", whom she wants to disarm?  Is she afraid that someone will tire of her anti-American tendencies, and do her in, either verbally or literally?

@Stephen Luftschein: You are correct that she's talking about an amendment to a bill. A bill that will define who does & who doesn't receive protection, as a journalist, from being forced, under threat of incarceration, to reveal this/her sources of information. Do you really contend that has nothing to do with the First Amendment?
