Did Obama GIVE our top secret drone technology to Iran?
This incident with Iran getting one of our top secret military drones, has been puzzling me since it happened. It's vaguely reminiscent of the alleged killing of Osama Bin Laden, with no evidence shown to the American people. ( Personally, I think he's been dead since around 2003, have seen no evidence otherwise, and think Obama staged the incident just so he could take credit. People prove they're alive by showing up, and he hadn't shown up in any way, in years. )
My first thought was to ask what such a drone would be doing in Iranian air space, which seems like an act of war. ( Without a declaration of war from Congress - what's new? Especially from this President! ) I mean, if Iran had overflown our air space, would it not have been an act of war?
Someone on one of these sites replied that we "needed" to fly it over Iran, to keep an eye on them, but that's not true. We've had satellites for decades now, that can do that, without it being an act of war and possibly provoking a war. The public info given out, says they can read something the size of a license plate, from space, but I bet that's an understatement. There was no need to fly a top secret military aircraft deep into Iranian territory, and even if there had been, it could be considered an act of war.
But that aside, the Iranians claimed they "jammed" the signals and brought it down, but I don't buy that, because if they did, it would have crashed, not landed. And if it crashed, wouldn't our military have explosives in critical places on board, to prevent our top secret technology from falling into enemy hands?
No, this drone landed intact. What would have had to have happened for that to take place? They would have had to have hacked the controls of the plane. But aren't the signals used to control the plane strongly encrypted so that only our military can control them? Surely they wouldn't want an enemy to be able to just take over one of our top secret weapons and land it. And even if they could have broken the encryption, how would they have controlled it? Doesn't that also require a top secret control panel console that only our military has? If they'd hacked the signal, it seems to me that the best that they could have done would have been to crash the drone, which is no different than just jamming the signal to bring it down.
And anyone who knows about encryption would know that even 128 bit encryption, which we use to buy things from our computers, would take very powerful computers years to break through, and the military would likely use much stronger encryption than that. At least 256 bit encryption. I'm no computer expert, but how much computing power would be needed to break that?
So this whole thing isn't making sense, and I don't trust this President. I wouldn't trust him enough to invite him to my home. If private property rights are still in effect, I wouldn't allow him in my home!

But we've been hearing reports recently, that socialists and gangs have been infiltrating our military now. So this leaves two very disturbing possibilities left.
One, that Obama passed down direct orders through a trusted chain of command, to land this drone in Iran, possibly sparking a war with Iran, and handing over our top secret military technology to them and their Russian and Chinese allies.
Or it may have been the act of a lone traitor who was operating the drone and decided to do this act on their own.
Both are very disturbing possibilities and should be investigated, but who will do that?
At least such an investigation should be called for - demanded.

The U-2 plane flying over the Soviet Union in the 1960 must have been before your time. We have been sending planes over our enemies for years. I believe it was the RB-71 that took ove that job after Gary Powers was shot down over the Soviet Union when Eisenhower was in the POTUS. During my tour in the Air Force we would send planes up around the Soviet Union just to locate their radar stations.
I know because I was radio intercept operator in 1952 and 1953. Morse code was hell to copy for 7 to 9 hours a day.

I wonder if you are really believing what you've written, or are just trying to further 'stir the pot'.
Are you deliberately trying to stir up the 'crazy pot' with this writing? I share frustration with direction of the Country, lack of jobs, debt, etc. but simply cannot buy into your 'theories' about what happened with the Drone.

Just too strange, just too convenient....Problem with the petition for the military though, Obama and Michelle have been sucking up to them big time.(Even as he stabs them in the back with defense cuts) They are also sworn to follow the commander in chief....This has been well planned. Of course, I don't think they counted on the tea party. One thing we can count on from this administration, never let a crisis go to waste.

WE THE PEOPLE NEED TO GET A PETITION FOR THE MILITARY TO GO TO THE WHITE HOUSE AND ARREST THE PRESIDENT FOR TREASON, ( CONGRESS WILL NOT DO IT , THEY ARE IN ON THE TREASON,DEAL WITH THEM LATTER.

Maybe the drone Iran purports to have is a fake. I doubt the Iranians would want to admit they have it if it is indeed so valuable. It would be a top secret to them. Maybe the drone was built intentionally defective and appeared to land in Iran by accident. The Iranians would then just have a piece of junk to work years on to duplicate. Obumble asking Iran to give it back could be only window dressing to make the Iranians think they have something important. Anyhow, I can not think of any reason the US would admit to losing such a sophisticated drone if it was real. After all, the thing was supposed to be a secret. Does anyone think Obumble would lie to us? Would the Iranians lie? You could flip a coin to see if either one is telling the truth. Whether any of the theories about how a secret drone came to land intact in Iran are true or not, I think there is more to the story than we may ever know. Only the military and the Iranians know the truth and as sop, we are seldom told any more than the government thinks we need to know about anything.

Larry: Thanks for clarifying the official, but as I stated, the drone looks like a flying wing aircraft, that don't use stabilizers as such. And it still looks much mor advnce than what we have used in Iraq.
