Conservative Accomplishments in Florida for 2011

It was actually a very good year for Conservatives in Florida when looking at the Legislative Accomplishments.  Although we only got a partial victory on E-Verify.  We wanted an Arizona or Georgia style Law but we had to settle for less.  Nonetheless, the Immigration Bill SB2040, does deny state benefits to illegals through the use of E-Verify, implements E-Verify for Florida's Workforce program, and ensures that violent criminals will be deported after serving their sentences.

Here is a summary of the other Conservative Accomplishments:

Conservative accomplishments by the 2011 Florida Legislature

President Mike Haridopolos and Speaker Dean Cannon

1.  Balanced Budget - Balanced Florida’s budget with no new taxes or fees, cutting over $4 billion in spending

2.  Medicaid Reform - Passed historic Medicaid legislation that cuts waste, attacks fraud and reduces cost

Totally agree ---- RINOs must go!

The best way to fight for that better law is to let our state reps and senators know how strongly we feel about it, along with Governor Scott, of course. The pro-illegal RINOs in the state legislature need to be targeted for removal. They are without redemption. Next year, everyone is up for re-election thanks to re-districting, and the pro-illegal RINOs must go, without question.

American Infidel,

Well, unless we directly take over Voting for the Senators --- we have to settle.  But don't take my sentiment wrongly, that doesn't mean we don't continue to fight for the strongest anti-Illegal immigration law as possible.  It just depicts the current reality.

I strongly disagree that we have to "settle" for a weak, watered-down (by the Senate Hispanic Caucus and others) anti-illegal immigration bill. Governor Scott was very disappointed in that bill, and so were millions of Floridians. We need to pressure our legislature to go back to the drawing board when the re-convene and come up with real anti-illegal immigration legislation, and we need to make sure that all those in our legislature who pushed this watered-down crap lose their jobs. There is no "settling" when it comes to illegals.
