Charlie Crist Republicans support Mitt Romney, what does that tell you?

It appears that supporters of former Governor Charlie Crist are aligning themselves with Mitt Romney. Perhaps the biggest indicator is the announcement that the Florida Finance Team co-Chair for Mitt Romney is Gary Kompothecras.

According to a June 2010 column by Jeremy Wallace in Sarasota Herald-Tribune, “More than 300 people filled the beachfront estate of Gary and Elizabeth Kompothecras to support Crist, who in April announced he was dropping out of the Republican primary race against former Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio to run as an independent.”

We are seeing “moderate” Republicans line up behind Romney.

Moderate Republican means different things to different people. For me it means putting pragmatism over principle. I recently attended a meeting of the Republican Club of Charlotte County and heard several members’ state that they love Newt Gingrich but think Mitt Romney is electable. I heard the same thing said about Charlie Crist when he was running for the U.S. Senate just before he jumped ship and went Independent. Some stuck with Charlie even after he threw the Republican Party of Florida under the bus. These same people are now coming out of the woodwork to support Mitt. What does that tell you?

I see the Republican primary race as wide open. I also believe each candidate has their own strengths and each has a few weaknesses. The greatest weakness of any candidate is their moderate stances or pragmatism when it comes to issues of importance. Mitt Romney is old news, a pragmatic politician and a very moderate Republican. Do Republicans in Florida want another John McCain? I doubt it.

Do not forget that it was Charlie Crist’s endorsement of John McCain that propelled him into the lead in the 2008 presidential primary and gave us President Barack Obama. A moderate is the last thing the Republicans need to nominate. A principle conservative is the only choice.

I firmly believe there are only four conservatives running for President on the Republican ticket. They are Rick Santorum, Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich. All the others, and especially Mitt Romney, are also ran’s supported by the good old boy network.

Beware of Charlie Crist Republicans bearing gifts.

Romney may , and probably is,  our best choice  !!!!!

So far, NO ONE on this list has convinced me otherwise!

Newt Gingrich " knows his way around Washington "". Does that mean that the corrupted Politicians,"historians" ,lobbyists, advisors, consultants and those that are also greedy, will make Millions from our taxes ????

A vote for Gingrich will mean MORE CROOKED DEAL MAKING IN WASHINGTON GOVERNMENT !

I agree with you, Romney is our best choice.   I met him in person when he spoke to us in a group of several hundred Republicans.    He told us he is against any type of AMNESTY, that it would be wrong for anyone to reward lawbreakers because that would only tell millions of others you can break our immigration laws and stay in the U.S. once you are here illegally.    Romney said he would complete the border fence and put on enough Border Patrol to maintain the border fence.    He said we must stop the flow of illegals crossing the Mexican border to stop the magnet drawing illegals.

Romney also said he would also put in a mandatory use of the DHS  E-VERIFY system that would create an even playing field that us fair.    All employers hiring workers would put in the Social Security Number given by the person applying for a job.   The numbrer is put in the DHS.gov  E-VERIFY system that connects to the Social Security Office and within 2 minutes the employer receives a verification if the number is good, fraudulent  or stolen and can tell ewhether to hire a legal U.S. citizen or to detect an illegal alien with a stolen number or fraudulent numbrer.    ROMNEY told us he is for a MANDATORY USE OF THE E-VERY system.

ROMNEY also told us that by using E-VERIFY, he could stop illegal aliens from stealing jobs and stop the job magnet drawing them to the U.S. and they would self deport themselves back to the countries they came from when there are no jobs for them and makes all employers adhere to one fair process for all companies.

Romney also told us that he would stop services going to llegal aliens as well and also said he is against the DREAM  ACT that would give state funds for college to illegal alien college students because this is another form of Amnesty and he is against any form of Amnesty for illegal aliens.   What are your thoughts on this posted data?   And, yes, I agree with you thast ROMNEY is the best choice for the Republican Presidential Candidate.

Also, he has started and ran many successful businesses and knows how to create manufacturing plants that take in workers.

ROMNEY is highly intelligent, is a great speaker, quick thinker and is highly photogenic and looks and acts with poise like a president and with all these positive traits plus his multiple plans to stop illegal aliens, ROMNEY is the best candidate and would be the best candidate to beat Pres. Obamna in any debate!  Irecorded him on video when he spoke to several hundred of us Republicans

ROMMNEY is no Washington insider like Newt Gingrich and would operate the government like a business.  He is against NEWT GINGRICH' plan to legalize millions of illegal aliens and give them Legal I.D. Cards to remain in the U.S.    ROMNEY tokld GINGRICH in the debate, that his immigration plan is called AMNESTY and Rep. MICHELLE BACHMANN also spoke up and said GINGRICH's plan was AMNESTY.

I'm backing ROMNEY as the Republican Candidate for President and would like to see him choose HERMAN CAIN as his V.P.    CAIN could be ROMNEY's surrogate speaker and could not be called a racist or anti-black and would make a good V.P.    Let me know your opinion on what I posted.    How much of thi

I wish I could be sure Newt Gingrich is a conservative.  I believe I heard him say he was a moderate, and I want a conservative to get my vote.

We are not going to get the best elected. The best isn't running. We know the out come. We must unite and then take on the Republican that gets in to do what is right. Lets make sure the Senate is Republican or nothing will get done.

What the hell is a "Charlie Christ Republican". That guy's a total Liberal Democrat! But anyway, although I'm leary of some of the candidates for Repub. Nominee, I think we can all say that we'll get behind whoever gets the nomination 100% to get the loser sitting in the White House evicted!!

I must say I wasn't very impressed as the interview moved along, so I switched channels and watched Newt being interviewed in NH on C-SPAN. What a difference!

Romney is on Hannity, now. He's finally getting some tough questions. If you miss it, DVR it on tonight's rerun
