Frankincense and Myrrh /p>

Remember all those who told us Bush was "bankrupting the nation? Bush was a piker compared to President Obama. Take a look at today's debt: http://www.usdebtclock.org/ It is very scary if you watch it too long; so be careful.

The National Debt has increased more during President Obama's 38 months in office than it did during 8 years of the George W. Bush presidency CBS News The Debt was 10 Trillion when the President took office. Here are two sources: CBS, NPR.

In 38 months the US debt has increased to $5 Trillion. Squandering freshly printed money as fast as it can and borrowing from hostile nations, each child now owes $50 thousand dollars, even before he has a job. $50,000! The government has overspent the budget by the amount of a mortgage free $200K home for every family of four.

This 50K that every man, woman and child owes does not count the spending that is authorized by congress and paid for by the sweat of our backsides. This is overspending! Overspending is not authorized by laws debated and voted on by our representatives; raising the debt ceiling is a blank check for the president to spend with caprice.

And what have we gotten for the overspending? Poverty has not been defeated, there is no peace, the infrastructure is crumbling, the schools are failing, Medicare is forty billion in the hole, the Post Office is bankrupt and on and on. When will we learn that government is inept?

The Administration is on a trajectory of doubling the debt of all presidents since Washington. And, worries are that President Obama will double down because he no longer needs to worry about reelection.

But far worse, for the children it is without consent - taxation without representation - the reason we fought the Revolution. This abdication of congressional responsibility is immoral, and why we produced the music video: Wall Street's Doin' All Right

“A wise and frugal government … shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.” And, “Congress has not unlimited powers to provide for the general welfare, but only those specifically enumerated.” -Thomas Jefferson

Clinton balanced the budget. But this president is highly ideological; within his philosophy the rule is this: Spending brings prosperity. The end result - more people depending on a government check - captivated voters for the big spenders. Obama's policies create third rail social programs impossible to repeal without enormous injury. And with this philosophy, is there any halter on wasteful spending?

Those are the stakes, and they have never been more clear. Freedom and independence vs a Nanny State that micromanages human endeavor.
