Since e-commerce and internet businesses have largely weathered the economic downturn better than other segments of the economy, it stands to reason that there are a growing list of politicians, strapped for revenues, who are looking at the internet. They're salivating over it like a fat man on a strict diet staring into the window of a fancy pastry shop. They lay awake at nights just dreaming of ways to tax the transactions and activities that take place by the billions each day. They view it as near criminal that they can't get their piece of the information super highway money that is out there. They sincerely believe that if it exists. it needs to be taxed. This was the thinking of tyrannical emperors and kings of years past.

It's just a matter of time before the internet is heavily regulated and taxed as well as monitored by many government entities. Or, at least their going to give it their best attempt.

No one is paying their fair share of taxes.  The concept of paying a fair share of Federal Taxes is moot because well over half of the taxes collected are mismanaged through incompetence and corruption.

These liberal idiots never learn.  Some people -- lotsa people -- are simply ineducable.  BUT . . .

These people are, in their own eyes, all creative brilliant geniuses.   Imagine:   taxing emails.   It takes great intellectual powers to think of THAT solution to delivering the mail.

Here's the real problem, and I mean the REAL one, the ROOT one, which conservatives, libertarians, and so on give far too short shrift.  It's the ONE FUNDAMENTAL reason we've been advancing one step only to fall back 3 for the past century, and why we will continue to unless we face it:

We fail to challenge the left on their MORAL grounds.   We implicitly cede their moral halos when we fail to address their claims to morality.  Why?   BECAUSE MOST OF US THINK IT REALLY IS THE SOURCE OF PERSONAL MORAL VIRTUE TO SACRIFICE ONE'S SELF TO OTHERS.   The founders succeeded, with the Declaration (and the Constitution it required to support its moral premise), because it recognized the VIRTUE of living responsibly, of PRIDE, of seeking HAPPINESS in one's own life and the lives of those one values or loves.   They knew that the value of a single, of EVERY single, human life is immeasurable, and that this means you can never say that 100 or 100million lives are more valuable than one.   The crime of destroying a life is the ultimate evil, and NOTHING can surpass it.    (As with most analogies, this one's not perfect but it gets the point across:   in math, infinity is an immeasurably large quantity which is larger than any other number you can name.  And if you multiply it by 10, or by a trillion, or more, you STILL have infinity as your answer. There is no number larger than infinity.  Likewise, whether you steal the lives of a million men, or one man, or even a piece of the life of one man by killing him before his prime, or by stealing his life thru slavery OR BY FORCED TAXATION OF PART OF THE FRUITS OF HIS LABORS, WHICH REPRESENT A  PART OF THE TIME HE HAS ON THIS EARTH, it's essentially the same despicable moral evil.

We on the right tend to emphasize the "practical" results of various behaviors or policies, and to be more astute number crunchers.   And we tend to be superior in our common sense about such things, because there are so many on the left who are simply dimwits, such as the above "tax emails" dimwit.     But then we give it all away at the end of the day, by failing to condemn THE MORAL IDEALS on which the policies and beliefs of these dimwits rest.

When a jungle animal sees something it wants, it takes it.  The only thing that will stop it is a force stronger than what it can muster, which will defeat the attempt to grab it, or which will scare the animal away from even attempting to.  BRUTE FORCE is the "moral" law of the jungle, and animals NEED that to survive, so it is good for them to live that way -- indeed, they have no choice if they wish to survive.   But man is not strong or fast, and must live by his BRAIN.   The law of the jungle is a losing proposition for him, and since life is the source of all values -- indeed the source of the very CONCEPT of values in the first place -- the right thing for man to do, as long as he remains a man and not just a collection of chemicals, ie a corpse -- is to use his brain and figure out the benefits to his life of division of labor and the potential value to his life of every other human in existence... And to set up a social system recognizing the MORAL RECTITUDE of that society's principles.

The progressives are SO regressive that they need a name like "progressive" to disguise their true nature -- ie, they protest too much when they demand to be called "progressive."   Their moral code is the law of the jungle:  GIMME.     They want another gov't program, or cell phones for pets, or sexy designer underwear for seniors to bolster their egos as the wrinkles start mulitplying, or whatever cockamamie scheme occurs to them on the spur of the moment -- so like the hungry jungle animal who notices something he wants, they demand gov't employ the legalized force ON WHICH IT ALONE HAS A MONOPOLY, to seize that item for them -- ie, to seize via taxes the productive effort of others and force it to serve the interests THE LIBERALS have.  And we just sit back, tell them they are going to irresponsible and perhaps even fatally apocalyptic extremes, but we NEVER QUESTION that government force is OK to use for the "public good", we NEVER question that on MORAL grounds, we never identify the BASE EVIL of it, the anti-human essence of it, and we thereby cede the to the progressives the morality of their canon.   

When we accuse the collectivists of seeing the gov't as a cash cow with infinite resources, we're right.  But if that's ALL we say, we may win a battle or two here and there by getting a majority to vote our way out of common sense on some issues, but we've given away the war, and WILL BE GUARANTEED TO LOSE IT, as we have been for the past several generations, and WILL CONTINUE TO, unless and until we understand the power of a moral code.   No matter how brilliant you are at the numbers and the comparisons or at being efficient, if you allow right and wrong, good and bad, to be defined by an evil moral code, YOU ARE GOING TO DESTROY YOURSELF.  Every battle won will sooner or later prove a Pyrrhic victory.

Even from a common sense view, you can see it if you look from the right perspective.   Imagine a world CONSISTENTLY based on the liberal view.    You are in a restaurant.   You see a party at a table nearby eating filet mignon and drinking wine.    Another party of obviously less well off people is eating hamburgers.    You reach across and take the food from the first table and pass it over to the second.  A few minutes later you feel thirsty and your water glass is empty.   No problem.   Just grab the wine bottle from the next table.   Your car is in the shop and you need to do your grocery shopping.   Hey, there's a car in the driveway across the street.   Just hotwire the ignition and take off.   If in any of these cases your victim is stronger than you are, just form a little local gang as your local gov't-by-jungle-law.   Show up in force outnumbering the victim, and THEN take what you want.  You can always "prove" the righteousness of your claim for mob theft by force with the rationalization "but I need it, and these are just friends helping me get it from you."

Anyone who lived this way in his personal life would shock and awe any observer -- even most progressives, for whom this is just another of their many hypocrisies.    But elevate it into a formal system of laws, and you have the crowd, the mob, or hope to get it, on your side to cover your immorality, your consummate gall, your totally inhuman lack of respect for the lives of others.    Like the emperor and his clothes, when everyone lies (or cheats, or steals) then every member of the crowd can hide behind the agreement of their peers and avoid taking blame individually, and use their overwhelming agreement in the crime's goodness as your defense.    IE, if you are an immoral, vicious low-life thieving liberal, just get a crowd of others like yourself to pass a law in a DEMOCRACY and then PRESTO, the sum of all your vices adds up to virtue.

Helping the poor, disadvantaged, and needy is NOT a virtue.   Hitler was poor and disadvantaged at points in his life.   Helping the DESERVING poor or disadvantaged who are in that state thru no fault of their own may or may not be a virtue depending on the case, but it is certainly not the ROOT or MAJOR virtue in a human being.  Productivity, hard work, self-responsibility MUST precede this minor virtue, because the means to be "virtuous" by giving to the needy must be CREATED before it can be distributed.    Those who plant and harvest the food are virtuous.  Those who sieze it for distribution to their personally chosen lucky recipients are .... EVIL.  They are the DESTROYERS of the source of humanity's very survival!!  Theirs is a 3-step process: distribute the fish, destroy all the fishermen, then claim virtue for their deeds.

Conservatives historically and in the present are only very very dimly aware of this, in the form of a vague sense of human pride that they've suppressed, but that manages to get a foot in the door of their emotions when they read of "the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."   Then we go out and do our evil and destroy ourselves and our nation and all that is good and all that is HUMAN.  

The MINUTE we compromise on THESE ideas just expressed, we've lost the battle.  And it is hard to find a SINGLE MINUTE during the past century when we were NOT engaged in compromising this view of HUMAN morality.   Yeah, help the disadvantaged.   Even in the cases where it is a wonderful and admirable thing to do, it will be because YOU DID IT  YOURSELF, YOU judged a man worthy, YOU found a diamond in the rough, YOU saw the merit and deservedness of another human being and helped.   Gang up with others to STEAL from yet others or from each other to help that fellow, and you have become . . . MORALLY CORRUPT, AND . . . EVIL.   When 2 or more thieves work together, they may convince each other that they deserve what they've stolen, and that their activities are moral and proper, but the sum of many negatives cannot make a positive total.

And that's who so many on the right are, or have become.  

We argue over the EXTENT or DEGREE of gov't control over the economy, over the "proper" or "sensible" rate of taxation on the rich or on the poor, etc.   We are very good with those arguments.   Most of the time our solutions, in a practical sense, are miles and miles and even light years ahead of the left's.    So why do we just keep on giving up ground and losing over the decades?   Re-read the above for the answer.   Conservatives have NO ONE BUT THEMSELVES to blame for the destruction of the very values they claim to support. 

   Conservatives live a contradiction.   They want to defeat the "evils" of progressivism but they enter the battle with hand calculators or  computer programs as their weapons.   The Laffer Curve.  Policy Wonks.   Well, go ahead with your "superior" knowledge and brains.  You're a loser, Mr Conservative.   YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE MORAL CODE WHICH UNDERLIES THAT GREATEST EVENT OF SOCIAL ORGANIZATION IN HUMAN HISTORY, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.. 

The irony is that it is really the liberals who are consistently religious.   They have faith in their beliefs no matter how many times those beliefs are proven wrong, or inflict disaster and untold, unnecessary suffering and agony on millions of innocents.  But they characterize themselves as "sophisticated intellectuals" while fighting to return the law of the jungle to human society, which our Framers fought to banish from it.    The only thing different about liberal's religious "morality" is that a lot of them are atheists, and they use that INCIDENTAL, IRRELEVANT DIFFERENCE INTENTIONALLY, as a pretext for claiming an intellectuality and a NON-religious "moral virtue" for themselves, which they do NOT deserve.   AND WE NEVER CHALLENGE THEM ON THAT.   We can't, not as long as we continue to say "America is a nation of Judeo-Christian values."  This most certainly is not correct either, at least when it comes to the actual, literal, moral code amongst those religious  values.

Yes, the "Judeo Christian" culture which our original colonists largely came from did have some cultural traits which were a key ingredient in the American culture and its form of government.   Mostly in its culture.   But there were just as many evils that were brought here.  Think "Salem witches."    Christians also persecuted other religions, and even different sects of their own religion fought bloody, insane, horrible wars agaisnt each other for their personal and myriad "Christian values."   The Constitution FORBIDS the admission of ANY specifically religious values from our governance.   Go be religious.  And if you value your religion more than the law, so be it.  We have our own GOVERNMENT rules, and our bill of rights, and so forth, and NOTHING based on some specific religion's values will be permitted to influence the impartial support of the AMERICAN value system. 

No, the meek are not regarded as especially deserving to inherit the earth.  Where is THAT in the Constitution?  No, we do NOT turn the other cheek to our enemies.  No . . . Americans are NOT like the lilies of the field who toil not.  No . . . the list goes on and on.    Sure, most of the jews and christians and others who loved this nation sincerely really did love it, but that's becasue it LET THEM LIVE THEIR LIVES, something that the prevailing religious moralities did NOT, and NEVER HAD.  So, yes, it was largely christians and a much smaller population of jews who occupied this new land in its early days, and who formed its government.  But they loved it because it let them "do their own thing" privately, whatever it was.  NOT because it reflected their particular religious values. 

So, America is a battle ground for two antipathetic factions, each of whom TRIES to characterize itself as the morally superior one:

1.  Conservatives who offer the vague concept of "judeo christian values."    But the AMERICAN values which were shared by the primarily christian and jewish colonists were CULTURAL, not religious values, and in many FUNDAMENTAL ways actually CONTRADICTED the essential moral values of their religions, which extolled the moral base of altruism -- self sacrifice, humility, non-material concerns, suffering as a virtue, etc.   To the contrary, the values America offered men were THE JOY OF EXISTENCE, the PRIDE OF ACHIEVEMENT, the UNCHALLENGED AND UNCRITICIZED RIGHT TO MATERIAL SUCCESS.  None of these is lauded by the religious morality's values.   NONE.   In fact, these AMERICAN values, even though possessed by many of the INDIVIDUALS who were religious, ARE IN DIRECT CONTRADICTION TO THE VALUES OF THEIR OWN RELIGION'S MORAL CODE.

2.  The liberal/progressives, who commandeered the religious morality of the judeo christian religion, with emphasis on the christian moral code (Marx, for example, was jewish, but an ANTI-semite).    This group frequently "dis-owns" a belief in a supreme being, but nevertheless has a moral code of altruism plagiarized directly from the altruistic christian moral code.  It elevates self-sacrifice, meekness, humility, and anti-materialism to the level of supreme moral virtue.   Making a buck is NOT revered, but almost a mark of satan in the Christian morality.   In the US, the self-made millionaire is RESPECTED and ADMIRABLE.   The "lily of the field" who lifts not a finger to advance himself, who has no ambition, and who trusts in fate or God or self-sacrificing Christians to take care of him, or the man who wears a hair shirt in order to learn meekness from his self-imposed suffering and drinks water instead of wine as a matter of moral virtue, HE is the icon of the altruistic moral code.   

So . . . we have religious fanatics on the left who paint themselves as "enlightened" ANTI-religionists on the basis of the incidental, irrelevant fact that their belief system excludes a God.   But otherwise, their moral code is a carbon copy of the christian morality of altruism which underlies and justifies socialism and communism.  These people are hypocrites in what they say about their POLITICAL nature.   Their politics is DERIVED from their fanatical, unreasoning FAITH in the moral rectitude of altruism.  THEN .... we have the conservatives, who are hypocrites in their RELIGIOUS nature.   They claim to be Christians or Jews, but they laud the American values which stand in DIAMETRIC OPPOSITION to their religion's moral code.  And because their guts make them love America, love its VIRTUOUS nature, they try to make their religious beliefs compatible with their political ones by claiming that America is a nation "built on Christian values."   BUT THEY CAN NEVER BE MADE COMPATIBLE BECAUSE THEY ARE PRECISE OPPOSITES..  

America was built on some VALUES held by PEOPLE who were Christian, and which were important factors in the American CULTURE, or the American "character," but those values which were the KEY, ROOT MORAL VALUES WHICH DEFINE THE UNIQUENESS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA -- THE RIGHT TO BE AMBITIOUS, TO SEEK AS MUCH PERSONAL HAPPINESS AS POSSIBLE EVEN THE HAPPINESS AND CONTENTMENT THAT MATERIAL SUCCESS PROVIDES, TO OWN PROPERTY WITHOUT ANY LIMIT, AND MANY MORE -- THESE AMERICAN MORAL PRINCIPLES UPON WHICH ITS SUPREME LAWS REST, ARE DIAMETRIC OPPOSITES TO THE MORALITY OF ALTRUISM, THEY ARE CONSIDERED VICES BY THAT MORAL CODE, AND ALTRUISM OR SELF-SACRIFICE IS THE #1 ROOT MORAL PRINCIPLE OF THE RELIGIOUS MORALITY OF CHRISTIANITY.  CHRIST HIMSELF, THE MOST VIRTUOUS BEING EVERY TO RESIDE ON EARTH ACCORDING TO THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION, EARNED THAT VIRTUOUS DESIGNATION BY SACRIFICING HIS PERFECTLY VIRTUOUS SELF TO HELP LOW, IMPERFECT, MORALLY UNFIT AND CORRUPT MAN, THE SINNER.

The TRAITS and CHARACTERS of many of the colonists were virtuous by the measure of a moral code of life, a code that does NOT revere self-sacrifice, but embracement of life, productivity, and the selfish pursuit of happiness.   Americans are generous -- BECAUSE THEY ARE HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL.   They could not BE generous if it were not for their values of ambition, productivity, and personal pride, the antithesis of the moral teachings of their predominant religion.

Basically, the conservative Christian says "I'm an American and I love my country.  I am also Christian and I love my God and religion.   And I am proud to be both.    And I am proud of American values too.   Of course I am a dollar chaser, and I like vacations and nice cars, and I want my kids to have all the material goods that make them happy as well as a good moral and professional education, and I want the best health care for them, and I like a roomy house where each of us can have his privacy when he wants it, and new clothes that are not too far out of style, but after all, I AM A SINNER, and so I admit I succumb to these vices"

And THAT'S how the liberals have you by the hair.  And THAT'S WHY those hypocritical religious fanatics called "progressives" who embrace the moral code of the law of the jungle and use the desires and well-being of the pack as justification for everything from slavery to murder, that;s how they BEAT YOU, and WHY they beat you, and always will, as long as you preserve the above stance between the quote marks.    They will resort to ANYTHING to further their moral code -- YOUR RELIGION'S MORAL CODE -- altruism.   While the moral code of AMERICA is something you embrace, but APOLOGIZE FOR, and often describe as a vice or sin.  

How can America triumph, when her opponents call her evil, and when her defenders often describe the  pursuit of those values which are uniquely AMERICAN as sins?

So we have the spectacle of liberals pushing with religious fanaticism a moral code that's ANTI-  the new, revolutionary, moral code which the Founders and Framers benevolently placed at the base of their moral justification for our nation's existence.  These "progressves" are religious FANATICS who pose as rational, non-mystical, "scientific" thinkers!!!   Then we have the conservatives, who sin against their religious beliefs and are NOT fanatical but "practical" and sensible and somewhat more intelligent than the liberals, who APOLOGIZE FOR THEIR VIRTUES because they too claim (by implication, when they call themselves Christian) to uphold the moral values of altruism, and when those values contradict the values on which AMERICA'S LEGAL PHILOSOPHY RESTS,  they do NOT acknowledge that fact, but just compartmentalize their personal contradictions by admitting that they are sinners, imperfect humans, etc, and then move on without noticing or admitting that it is the AMERICAN VALUES which they are seeking and observing when they "sin."

Liberals damn freedom, capitalism, selfishness, material success openly.    Conservatives seek those things but then admit that they do so as imperfect sinners, and thus damn as evil the same moral code the liberals do, the moral code of AMERICA.

That's why our nation doesn't stand a chance.    Our only hope has been and remains that Conservatives will be willing to sin enough, by their own religion's teachings, to keep the nation on life support for a while longer.  But they have already doomed the USA and themselves by (1) NOT having the courage to stand by their own VIRTUES, and by (2) NOT rejecting those aspects of their religious code which the liberals and the left consistently support with religious fanaticism.  (They do not need to reject these values in their personal lives, if they choose not to.   But these values MUST be rejected as  "american" values because, per the above, they are NOT.  Be a full blooded, totally consistent Christian if you want, and the Constitution will protect your rigtht to be.   But don't ascirbe your particular "christian values" to the political philosophy of America.  If you are a consistent Christian, you have to DAMN those few American values which are at the ROOT of American exceptionalism, and which are uniquely American.)

Can you understand why this is a contest that the liberals have to win?  Why the conservatives can only win a few, temporary battles, here and there, but will always be doomed to lose the war?  

The liberals are ENTIRELY wrong.  The Conservatives are PARTLY wrong.  But the conservatives err in the beliefs they hold which are SIMILAR OR IDENTICAL to the erroneous beliefs of the liberals!!   And the conservatives APOLOGIZE for those actions, beliefs, and traits of theirs which ARE in fact VIRTUOUS, and which DIFFER with the liberals (and with their own religion)!!    No wonder the ideas of the liberals keep gaining groun:   because those root, moral beliefs which DIFFER from the liberals are actually the ones on which our form of government is justified, and because the conservatives APOLOGIZE for them as sinful when they succumb to following the dictates of AMERICAN values and morality.

NEITHER SIDE GIVES THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA A MORAL BLESSING FOR THE MORAL VIRTUES OF ITS FORM OF GOVERNMENT.  

Yes, the conservatives SAY they love the Constitution, but they apologize when they follow the moral precepts of the Declaration which the Constitution was designed to implement.

To help themselves evade the moral contradiction of their own beliefs, conservatives point to a belief in God, or to the generosity of American people, or to the ten commandments or other of their own beliefs which were shared by most CITIZENS of the colonies and the young nation, and which -- yes -- were sometimes incorporated into the law, such as laws against murder and adultery and theft.  But those laws and beliefs had existed in countless other societies for countless centuries BEFORE the USA existed.   ALL of the principles which make the USA UNIQUE in human history are COUNTER to and IN DEFIANCE OF the most fundamental moral ESSENCE of the religious morality.

How are admitted sinners to be expected to win a war that's fought to preserve the moral ideas which they apologize for as sins?

The liberals are evil, and they lie about their own religious fanaticism, or try to disguise it, or refuse to see it for what it is themselves.   But they are MORE CONSISTENT, IN FACT, IN IMPLEMENTING THE MORAL CODE OF ALTRUISM THAN THE CONSERVATIVES ARE, even thought the conservatives DO claim to be religious, as a virtue, (and even more shocking, as an AMERICAN virtue), while actually apologizing for their genuinely and uniquely American virtues as being sins.

In short, America has liberals for its enemy.   And its friends, the conservatives, keep on lauding America and its "exceptionalism" while damning themselves whenever they observe the uniquely AMERICAN moral values of governance.

It's a sad state of affairs. And the fault lies heavily in the lap of conservatives.   "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing."    When the evil schemes of the collectivist, statist, socialist, communist, liberal, progressive contingents are implemented, the Conservatives pull out their calculators to show the inefficiency of the latest liberal plan, then go home and beg forgiveness for the sin of pursuing the REAL American values which they do nothing to support.

Pride.  Ambition.   Success.  Competence.   Productiveness.  Materialism.    Freedom.   The proud recognition of one's own right to live and seek these values.   The pride and satisfaction of achieving them.    How often has your priest or pastor or rabbi emphasized these as virtues over and above the humility, trust in god to handle your fate, above the virtue of subsidizing pitiable failures with your personal generosity and charity, above devotion to prayer and faith rather than producing material things of use and benefit to mankind, the rejection of material pursuits in favor of the "spiritual," and the virtue of humility over the sin of pride?  How often has your priest, pastor, or rabbi told you to advocate a strong military and blow our nation's enemies to smithereens instead of turning the other cheek and kissing the cheek of evil to curry evil's love and bring out the good in our evil enemies?

MY QUESTIONS FOR CONSERVATIVES ARE THESE:

1. Why are you so reticent to point with pride to your mind and hands and the things you have used them to  PRODUCE, with appropriate pride?   Why are you so often ASHAMED to admit how financially successful you are, when you are successful?

2.  Why do you instead prefer to justify your existence by pointing to the 5 or 10 or 25% of what you've produced in income which you've given to the needy?   And why do you join with those who grant special admiration to those who give to the UNDESERVING needy?

3.  How do you rationalize this with your position against illegal immigrants?  They're human beings too.  And we're all  created equal.   It's no big deal to be charitable toward those who DESERVE it, anyone can do THAT, but it's a truly super virtue to sacrifice your earnings and material wealth to the UNDESERVING needy.  So . . . who better to help than the illegal immigrants?  Or unwed mothers who have brought so many new souls into existence for redemption, yet suffer in poverty?  WHY shouldn't we help them with gov't doles?   WHY shouldn't you be proud when you donate to the unwed mothers' fund?  Isn't that a great accomplishment?

Are  you starting to see, yet?   Are  you starting to get a glimmer of why there is NO HOPE of winniing a defensive battle, but there is LESS THAN NO HOPE in winning a battle where you VOLUNTARILY GIVE ALL  YOUR GOOD AMMO TO THE ENEMY, AND LEAVE YOURSELF ONLY THE BAD AMMO TO DEFEND YOUR 100% DEFENSIVE BATTLE WITH.

Admit it, conservatives.  You are the reason we are losing.   Be men.   Be proud.   But be so for the RIGHT reasons or you are going to destroy all the good AND MORE which our founders bequested to the human race.  You have been engaged in assuring its destruction for at least 3 generations.  It's time you spoke up for your own virtues with pride, not apologies.   This is the land with JUSTICE for all, not a government of tender mercies for all.   STOP with the tender mercies, for THEY are the root cause of the vast injustices you THINK you are fighting against, but are actually enabling.

I'm proud to be an American too.   But I, for one, will never apologize for that pride, because American values are the ones based on the MORAL GOOD, for the first time in human history.      America is the FIRST nation on earth to explicitly found a society based on MORAL VIRTUES.  The right moral virtues, not the ancient virtues of royalty or aristocracy OR RELIGIOUS VALUES.    American virtues are the virtues of PRODUCTIVE, SANE, HUMAN BEINGS, and see HUMAN LIFE as the ultimate, sacred value.  Supporting human life with a society whose rules ENABLE YOU TO GO LIVE IT TO THE MAX,  was the most thrilling AND MORAL advance of governance in human history.

Yes the liberals, et al, go all the way back to the jungle for their moral code.   But conservatives go back to the dark ages and before.   Not as far back as the liberals, but far enough to be, also, an enemy and destroyer of the uniquely AMERICAN values upon which our nation was built, and upon which it stands, and which are responsible for the success of our nation, and which TRULY justify the pride of every American in his nation's uniqueness.

Get with the  program, conservatives, the one that started in 1776 and that you have loved but betrayed for a few generations already.    If  you REALLY love American values, then spend some time really REALLY thinking about which ones ARE the uniquely American ones, and stop talking contradictory nonsense that enables America's feeble enemies to defeat her despite her unequaled strength.  

Finally:

It is not Christian Americans who make this nation great.   It is not Jewish Americans who make this nation great.  It is not any religious group, ethic group, geographical group, age group, or national ancestry group who make Amerca great.  The people who make our nation great are not Italian Americans or Senior Americans but  AMERICAN Americans, who undersand the source of our nation's greatness.   Men and women from all groups, seeking THEIR OWN HAPPINESS, keep on adding new, higher, better floors to our skyscraper, and did so consistently for generation after generation.   And all of them have contributed, by acting in THEIR OWN SELF INTEREST.   And the COMMON "American value" which all AMERICAN Americans share is the love of LIBERTY, and the LOVE of pursuing their OWN happiness, and the LOVE for the first nation in human history which has given them the sanction and right to do just that.    EVERY TIME someone tries to characterize "AMERICAN VALUES" as being consistent with the philosophy of altruism, whether on a religious or secular basis, that someone is CHIPPING AWAY AT OUR SKYSCRAPER'S VERY FOUNDATION, while many others -- often including himself in the case of conservatives -- are  still up there working on the newest, best addition to our national edifice.  

It takes a tremendous amount of time and work to build the greatest skyscraper the world has ever seen.  But it's "no sweat" to tear the WHOLE THING down, just by ignoring the proper maintence of its foundation.

Liberals are hard at work attacking every story, as well as teh foundation.   Conservatives are forever at work  recommending patchwork repairs on an above-ground, floor by floor basis, while ignoring the foundation.

STOP IT.   Or our nation is lost.   STOP IT.   And become a truly AMERICAN American, who can be  proud and UNAPOLOGETIC for his individual success, with full understanding that it is upon the INDIVIDUAL success of its INDIVIDUAL  citizens that AMERICA'S success ABSOLUTELY depends.    Be proud. Be successful.  Be HAPPY.  AND ... DO NOT APOLOGIZE -- to others OR TO YOURSELF.  Your nation has told you that  you have a RIGHT to be happy and proud and successful.   DON'T LOOK A GIFT HORSE IN THE MOUTH.  Be an AMERICAN, an individual member of the first MORAL government on the face of the earth.  Your great great great great grandchildren will revere you for it, instead of having to apologize FOR YOU.

It will round out what I mean by the above.   Conservatives today are like Davy Crockett was before he met farmer Bunce, and the penny dropped.   Liberals will simply ignore this lesson, but conservatives had better remind themselves of it before it's too late.    Follow your religious or any other personal beliefs.   But STOP, CEASE AND DESIST, your attempts to bind your religious beliefs to this nation's GOVERNING principles, actions, and values.    Prove that UNlike liberals, you ARE educable, and that LIKE Davy Crockett, you understand why your good intentions in this matter have undercut the very existence of the USA.

This really ticks me off.  Tax e-mail  how stupid.  The liberals are desparate and it shows every day.  Maybe they are seeing they will and soon run out of others peoples money.  Besides this would end up in court and hopefully they would lost.

Obviously this idiot doesn't understand the internet.  Email cannot possibly be taxed.  The government can't even stop wikileaks, the pirate bay, or the silk road from operating freely throughout the world.  If they think people are going to pay tax on email, they have truly gone insane.

Berkeley, ah, what does that word bring to your mind? , Communist conclave of Hotheads, Black Panhters, drugged out populous, first openly Liberal College sronghold in America. Nothing these Wingnuts come up with, would surprise me. I, for one, like my mail, and think the P.O. should cut out the waste, and reorganize. It is hard to break the habit of just spending as much as you want, and then looking for ways to cut. Since the P.O. is a Civil Service job, it also very hard to fire the overflow, that someone else hired..This would take a hardnosed approach, and frankly in this day and time, might offend someone, just to save the mail. I say offend, and get out the waste, deadwood, and go for austerity for survival.
