In the case of Snider vs City of Cape Girardeau Missouri, the District Court, Eastern District of Missouri, Southeastern Division has
found, by the law, that Frank L. Snider is protected via the 1st Amendment from violation resulting from his shredding of an American flag.
By the law of unintended consequences, Frank L. Snider III has been found guilty of being Anti-American, an idiot and a hypocrite.
First, the law.
Back in 1989, the United States Supreme Court found that burning an American flag was protected as free speech. Previous to that decision, the state of Missouri, in 1980, passed a law making it a misdemeanor to desecrate an American flag but, after the 1989 Supreme Court ruling, Missouri failed to remove their desecration law from the books.
On October 20th, 2009, Snider, who at the time lived at 901 S. Benton St. in Cape Girardeau tried, in his front yard, to burn an American flag. Snider was inept enough to fail in that attempt and decided instead, to slice the flag to bits and throw its remains about his yard and into the street.

In regards to your second paragraph, China (who have just passed their verison of NDAA thanks to the traitors in the Senate and House who gave the President the power to arrest, detain, torture, and kill American citizens without any evidence, trial by jury, habius corpus, lawyers, judges, warrants, etc. [who have learned on March 8th that, as Glenn Beck has been warning, they have become irrelevant when Leon Panetta stated that the military now requires "...international approval" before going to war against countries instead of requiring authorization from Congress]), North Korea, Iran, or the USSR would be far more appropriate places to send the useful idiots (i.e.: OWS) to than Turkey.
Comment by Stephen Gabrielson on March 26, 2012 at 1:19pm David Henning, the reason these people won't leave is that, to a degree, they know that, if they cannot mooch off of others like a parasitic virus does to cells within the human body or take resources by force like a locust does to crops on farmland or a robber does to someone who has resources the robber wants but doesn't want to earn the honorable way, they simply cannot survive on their own. Like spoiled brats, they want the benefits of capitalism without putting in any work, time, money, or effort but have someone else pay for everything until people state, clearly and in no uncertain terms, the children must actually work to earn their keep; otherwise, they are to leave their homes and make it on their own. This would explain why the Michael Moores of the world won't sacrifice any of their wealth for the causes they believe in but are very eager for everybody else to pay for their causes (especially with those they hold in contempt [i.e.: We the People, those who believe in Judeo-Christian Biblical Faith, those who believe in limited government bounded within the confines of the Constitution of the United States, those who are G-d fearing, law-abiding, hard-working, decent, moral, honorable, truthful, politically incorrect, proud, unhyphenated Americans, and those who believe in Free Market Capitalism/Free Enterprise]). If people want to give their wealth to the government, go write a check and donate your own money, wealth, and assets directly to the government instead of having someone else pay for stuff that you did not earn or work for.
If you, the spoiled brat or those who vehemently support Communism/Marxism/Islamo-Nazism, don't like the rules that the US has followed since the US declared its independence from Great Britain through the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States through Judeo-Christian Biblical Faith, do the following. Without so much as saying a single word, going on a rant, or violently rioting in the streets when you don't get your way, simply pack your bags, move on a one-way trip to your favorite Communist/Marxist/Islamo-Nazi country of your choice outside of North, Central, and South America (which We the People would be more than eager to help you with), transfer all of your assets, your wealth, and your own money to families of the US military and conservative churches, synagogues, temples, and charities, and never, ever come back to the United States ever again.

Without so much as saying a single word, launching a single rant or complaint, or rioting in the streets when you don't get your way, pack your bags, permanently move to the Communist/Marxist/Islamo-Nazi country of your choice outside of North America (and even outside of Central America and South America for that matter), surrender all of your assets and wealth to family members of the US military, churches, chapels, synagogues, and temples immediately, and never, ever return to the United States ever again.
The taxpayers and decent Americans will be more than happy to help ship you (and those that hate the US and don't appreciate the advantages they have here compared to the absolute chaos and despotism occurring throughout the entire world) out of North America since none of us should bail you out and pay for your behavior: if you mess up your life because of the choices you made, you and you alone should be the only one that suffers the consequences of your choices and be forced to live with those choices without anyone bailing you out. To put it simply, you mess up your bed, you're the one that's going to sleep in it since We the People will not make your bed anymore.
In my eyes (and I truly believe the Tea Party and others will back me up on this), you (i.e.: OWS, Progressives, etc.) are no longer citizens of the Constitutional Republic but instead are slaves to the State, perpetually dependent on someone else for your own survival instead of making it out on your own like our parents and grandparents and ancestors have done for countless generations.

He did this because the government wouldn't give him a job or SSDI. This retard thinks its government function to employ his sorry butt. He has abdicated personal responsibility for his life and turned his future over to the state. The article may claim that he's an anti-American for desecrating our national symbol but I say he's anti-American for believing that the taxpayer owes him employment or Social Security Disability benefits.

I spend 21 in the AF and owned a bulldozier when I retired (had it for 4 years).
Came to work one morning and there was this huge cartoon with me on the dozier, and the dozier had a prop and wings.

I find any protest against our beautiful flag personally offensive. But, I would go back in and defend any idiot's rights to desecrate our international symbol of freedom and strength. I would also like to drive a tank through his front door. But, unlike 'Big Brother' I would also like to learn why he feels the way he does. Then do my tank thing. And now that's about all the time I care to waste on such defecating drivel as this.
