I DVRed all the Sunday morning political debate shows that matter this morning to see what was going to at long last be said about Benghazi, fully believing that this could be THE pivotal moment of this election. I struggled through listening to all of them.
Fox news' Sunday morning with Chris Wallace, as expected, let his pundits talk briefly about the failure of the administration to address it. Who said what and when. They tried at any rate.
CBS's Face the Nation’s, Bob Scieiffer gave it his very best attempting to direct John McCain away from Benghazi with the weather and how it will affect the race. McCain to his credit did a credible job placing the blame where it fully belongs, on the Obama administration. Shieffer then expeditiously moved on to Obama surrogate Rahm Emanuel who followed the administration's line that the president immediately ordered an investigation of the events and we will find out the facts. Yea, sure, we will find out the facts after the election if Romney wins and if we have the misfortune of another 4 years of Obama, undoubtedly after they have whitewashed all the facts and buried Benghazi where the sun won't shine.
ABC's George Stephanouplos tried his level best to direct Newt Gingrich away from Benghazi but to his credit Newt discoursed one full paragraph by getting out the following; “But the bigger issue is, whether it's unemployment or it is what's happened in Benghazi, where we've had this strange story over the weekend that the secretary of defense apparently refused to obey the president's order. If the president is telling the truth and he actually instructed his assistants to get aid to Benghazi, we're now being told that the secretary of defense canceled that. And I think these kind of things all drag down the Obama campaign. You'll notice he's canceling his trips over the hurricane. He did not cancel his trips over Benghazi. And so you have to wonder, between Benghazi, the price of gasoline, and unemployment, just how much burden the president's going to carry into this last week." Once again, Obama groupie Georgie directed the discussion to the Electoral College and then on to what he considers Obama's improving economy and how much the Republican's are the party that approves of rape. The panel made up of three ultralibs and conservatives George Will and Nicolle Wallace said not a word about Benghazi. So much for Will and Wallace's conservative bona fides.
Then we have NBC's Meet the Press. Obama top NBC cheerleader David Gregory didn't have to direct the conversation away from Benghazi since the two faux conservatives on the panel, Carly Fiorina and David Brookes didn't bother to bring it up and of course Gregory wouldn't betray the Obama base by doing so.
After listening to all the tripe on the tube this morning I just couldn't bring myself to sit through CNN's Sunday Morning. I'd bet the farm that they followed the lead of Gregory's Meet The Press and Benghazi wasn't mentioned. I'm also pretty sure that if MSNBC broached the subject it would have been to let the public know what a shining example of leadership their hero Obama has been, having promised to fully investigate the unpleasantness of Benghazi after the election.
We have one chance to put these liberal Obama pundits of the lamestream media on their collective heels. Vote for the only alternative. Mitt Romney wasn't my first second or even third choice to take on Obama but we now have no choice. We must pull the lever for R&R and end the misery we have now had to endure for the last 4 years. Make January 20th 2013 the end of an ERROR!!!
