First a little history:
The Riot Act: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riot_Act#United_States
"The Riot Act (1714) (1 Geo.1 St.2 c.5) was an Act of the Parliament of Great Britain that authorised local authorities to declare any group of twelve or more people to be unlawfully assembled, and thus have to disperse or face punitive action.
The principle of the Riot Act was incorporated into the first Militia Act (1 Stat. 264) of 8 May 1792. The Act's long title was "An act to provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the laws of the Union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions".
Section 3 of the Militia Act gave power to the President to issue a proclamation to "command the insurgents to disperse, and retire peaceably to their respective abodes, within a limited time", and authorised him to use the militia if they failed to do so. Substantively identical language is presently codified at chapter 15 of title 10, United States Code.
To this day many jurisdictions that have inherited the tradition of English common law and Scots law still employ statutes that require police or other executive agents to deliver an oral warning, much like the Riot Act, before an unlawful public assembly may be forcibly dispersed."
That's the historical origin of the term "reading them the riot act", and it generally begins with the police telling them; "This is an unlawful assembly...".
OK... "suppress insurrections". I remember Glenn Beck mentioning that this was going to happen, over a year ago, and referring to the blueprint for it, in a book called "The Coming Insurrenction", which advocated violence and was banned in France.
On GBTV this past Monday, Glenn Beck and his guests were discussing Occupy Wall Street ( Which has gone global, as a general socialist-globalist occupation movement now. ), and one of them said that the only way to stop socialism from taking over a country at a point like this, is just to have the police shut them down - break up their demonstrations and riots.
And I was thinking about this. We all have the right to free speech, which anyone can do at any time. We all have the right to petition the government for "redress of grievances", which anyone can do at any time. And we all have the right to hold a rally, like the Tea Party movement has done on several occasions, though we were totally ignored by this socialist administration and most of the Congress, and even lied about, smeared and called names by the Marxists, as they continue to borrow, spend and tax this country into an eventual Great Collapse.
And meanwhile the Fed continues to devalue our paper and digital currency by constantly expanding the money supply and "loaning" ( more accurately "giving it away", because so many in the EU can't reasonably ever be expected to repay it! ) it out all over the world!
( How many of you have noticed a general climate of depression ( malaise ), especially in the business world, after the August 2nd deadline passed and it became clear that they had no intention of taking any serious steps to correct this, and balance the budget now - not in "10 years or 20 years", which is meaningless? )
But I digress...
What they don't have the right to do, and Glenn's guest was right about this, is to stage - not a demonstration or rally, but an occupation, meant to "bring down" our relatively free market system, capitalism and our individual rights along with it. ( "Capitalism" is, after all, simply the right to own your life and property. )
They don't have a right to trash things and make parts of these cities uninhabitable in the process. This is an insurrection and these are the kinds of dangerous mobs that led to socialist/communist collapses in eastern bloc countries during the rise of the Soviet Union, and the people in those countries never knew what hit them, until it was too late!
So yes, these people have said their piece, they've held rallies and demonstrated, but an Occupation should not be tolerated and they should now be "read the riot act" by the police, and be told to disperse and leave! And if they refuse, the police should force them to disperse!
Update 11-4-11: When I wrote the above blog, I was a little behind on my GBTV. On Tuesday, Glenn Beck reported ( with several video news clips! ) that these "Occupy" Marxist globalist insurrectionists are in fact running their occupied areas as rape camps!
Women, as well as even one man, have been raped, and they're preventing it from being reported, "for the good of the revolution" and "for the collective good", which of course outweighs the rights of the individuals being raped and the laws that say that felony crimes must be reported! These crimes would absolutely not be tolerated if the right were doing them, especially the Tea Party movement! Yes, these camps should be shut down, and they should be shut down now and these Marxist revolutionary insurrections should be dispersed immediately!
One person commented here:
Ok, it's a perfectly legitimate accusation, for someone who just landed from Mars, where they've been for the last two years, or someone who just might be an apologist for the Insurrection, doesn't want the Revolution to be discredited, and wants to spin things away from the truth!
So do your own homework folks. Google is at your finger tips!
Go Google: Occupy Wall Street rapes.
This has been going on in every major city they've been occupying and pitching tents in!
A brief list, for those accusers who are too lazy or dishonest to Google:
Yes, I saw the original material that was talked about in this blog, on GBTV, and I know that the leftist loons have lied about and smeared Glenn Beck into relative obscurity now, but on Tuesday he was showing video interviews of this, some of which you can see in the above stories. This is the news that the socialist biased media isn't reporting because they support the Occupy Wall Street movement!
And trust Glenn Beck and me on this one, folks - you ain't seen nothin' yet! What happens when the Collapse that the left is causing, happens, and there's rioting and looting in our streets, far far worse than what you see here? In fact it will make the Occupy Wall Street riots look like a Sunday school picnic.
Time to shut it down!
Protests, sure. Free speech, sure. But occupations? NO!
11-5-11 Late night:
Some leftist apologists here, who support the "Occupy" movement, commented that the movement shouldn't be judged by the acts of only a few, but why not?
When it's a broad-based policy of the organizers that rapes should not be reported, what are we to think of this?
If these acts were happening in Tea Party encampments in various parts of the world ( Remember, we have NYC, Oakland and Ottawa, at the very least, that we know of so far! ) would such policies be tolerated by the left, in the least?
Do the police and Mayors of these cities approve of a policy of not reporting felony sexual assault crimes?
Do the organizers of this movement and the participants who have covered up these crimes, think that these are just "boys will be boys" acts? They seem to, because these reports indicate that the other occupants are just shining flashlights on the rapists and telling them to stop!
Surely they must realize that these are felony crimes of brutal violence against women, and not just "boys will be boys" things.
And how does the leftist National Organization for Women feel about brutal acts of criminal violence against women being covered up by the "Occupy" movement?
Don't they have an official policy of not condoning rape, and certainly not condoning the cover up of reporting such brutal acts of violence to the police? Don't they have a policy that such acts should be prosecuted to the maximum extent of the law?
I'm personally very troubled by the potential answers to these questions, because it's a known fact that the roots of the Progressive socialist movement are very deeply tainted with racism and eugenics, and in fact the entire movement shows far more concern with the "good of the collective", ( Whatever that may be, and who determines it. ) than they are with the well-being of any individuals, or individual rights in general. Such attitudes are even pervasive within the White House and the Obama administration.
On Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood: "We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population," she said, "if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." - Woman's Body, Woman's Right: A Social History of Birth Control in America, by Linda Gordon.
On blacks, immigrants and indigents:
"...human weeds,' 'reckless breeders,' 'spawning... human beings who never should have been born." - Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization, referring to immigrants and poor people.
"The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it." - Margaret Sanger, Women and the New Race (Eugenics Publ. Co., 1920, 1923)
"I don´t want to punish anybody but there are an extraordinary amount of people whom I want to kill. I think it would be a good thing to make everybody come before a properly appointed board and say every five or every seven years, just put them there and say "Sir or Madam, will you be kind enough to justify your existence?´ If you´re not producing as much as you consume or perhaps a little more then clearly we cannot use this big organization of our society for the purpose of keeping you alive because your life does not benefit us and it can´t be of very much use to yourself."" - George Bernard Shaw, 20th Century Progressive icon
White House Director of Counter Terrorism, Audrey Thomason, in her publication “Apocalypse Equation”, detailed how the present world's population is unsustainable and needs to be reduced by about 4.5 billion, clearly the thinking of someone who's only concerned with the collective, and not in any way concerned with the rights of the individual.
So I really think that these attitudes are pervasive in the ideologies of the Progressive socialist movement, as well as in such movements as the American Nazi Party, which also supports "Occupy Wall Street". They appear far more concerned with their collective image, than with protecting the human rights of the individuals involved in their own movement.
No, this isn't just "boys will be boys", this is a complete lack of concern with the rights and well-being of the individual, and a pervasive concern with the collective.
She spent the night in a women only tent, which has been set up in response to numerous allegations of sexual assault and rape down at Zuccotti Park. Police have confirmed at least two instances of sexual assault there, and at least one arrest has been made as a result.
Giove claimed her discussions with Occupiers indicated there have been “many, many stories of sexual abuse in the park.”
One woman Giove spoke with during her overnight stay claimed that she had been sexually assaulted in early October, but stayed in the park since the incident to help counsel other women who have also been sexually abused."

11-10-11 Update: Now The Blaze is reporting about an outbreak of drug resistant tuberculosis at the Atlanta OWS!
As if the urinating, defecating, throwing blood, rioting, property destruction, threatening people and harming businesses weren't enough, now this?!
OWS is a public health hazard!
Put it out of its misery already, mayors and police chiefs!
Shut it down!
