(People here in Texas have trouble with all those shalls and shall nots in the 10 Commandments. Folks here just aren't used to talking in those terms. So, some folks out in west Texas got together and translated the "King James" into "King Ranch" language: Ten Commandments, Cowboy Style.)

I remember when I attended Sunday School as a child that we were taught the 5 Steps to Salvation. I was just thinking on that and it occurred to me that there are 5+1 Steps to Saving America.

First, we had to hear the message that we were in trouble and needed saved.
We've been preaching this message now for over twenty years and most recently Glenn Beck and others have taken to the pulpits to…

David Brock, founder of Media Matters, has come out now, declaring that Sarah Palin is the only person that can save the nation from another Oklahoma City style massacre, saying that in order to do so she must speak out against Glenn Beck!
Beck gets her on the phone to get her response and it’s awesome. In fact the whole interview is really awesome.
Be sure and watch to the end for a short but effective smack down of Karl Rove.

The Democrats really are running an inconsistent campaign across the country.
In Missouri they are running an attack on a Republican saying he covered up pedophilia in the Catholic Church.
In Minnesota the Democrats are attacking Catholics full on for not living up to Christ’s teaching to help the poor.
In Kentucky they are attacking Rand Paul for blaspheming Christ or some such…

Mike Huckabee this week blasted what he termed the elite country club attitude favored by former presidential advisor Karl Rove and others who quickly wrote-off Delaware Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell.
"I was very disappointed in some, particularly Karl and others, who were so dismissive of Christine O'Donnell," Huckabee said, according to a Politico…

In the final days of any campaign, the news media gets a flurry of scandal stories involving politicians in tight races. Most of them turn out to be nothing, like Joe Miller’s three-day wrist slap for participating in an on-line political poll while at work. Some of them occupy a more gray area of relevance, which may describe the story broken by Fox last night regarding the aide that once…

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has overturned Arizona’s requirement that people show proof of citizenship to register to vote.
The split decision by a three-judge panel determined that the requirement to show proof of citizenship — passed by voters in 2004 — is not consistent with the National Voter Registration Act.

10/26/2010 Dear Fair Housing Center of West Michigan,
I am writing to express my concern over a recent civil rights complaint that has been filed against a woman who posted an advertisement at her church last July. Apparently, you were upset that she was seeking a Christian roommate. I came to that conclusion after reading the following in the complaint you recently filed against her: "(The ad) expresses an illegal preference for a Christian roommate, thus excluding…
