What Have The Actions Of The GOP Told You?
We have a president who has told us that he’s a progressive socialist. He has all along used his office and his cabinet illegally and it is likely, if not certain, that he is not a natural-born US citizen. He has told us that it’s his intention to ignore the second amendment, to disarm the military, enter us into economy-killing treaties and refuses to terminate a Secretary of State who has shown herself to be utterly unqualified for the position, even unto the deaths of several Americans as…

Patriot or Politician?
I was recently called uncivil. What was my uncivil behavior? I called a lie a lie in the face of a liar. If that is uncivil behavior, then I suppose I have been classified. However, I believe we have been given a magnificent heritage. Men and women have lived their lives in great sacrifice and given their last breath to secure a nation for our children. This nation they built was to be a beacon of hope to the world: A light of Liberty and a shining example for future generations. The…

Pay Careful Attention To The Resume
The Arizona GOP primary will take place on August 28. Among the offices candidates are seeking, is the US Senate seat being vacated by the retiring Jon Kyl. Four men are running for that nomination, but two are way ahead: sitting congressman Jeff Flake and Mesa, AZ businessman, Wil Cardon.
Cardon’s campaign sent out a video of a recent debate held here a few days ago, which I watched this morning. The contrast between Flake and Cardon couldn’t have been more stark. Cardon attacked…

Don't Be Fooled Again!
Have any of you ever prayed that the person you voted for in the election would get elected, knowing all the great things that they said they would do, or suggested that they would do once elected? Then, glory of glories, they won the election…and you waited, and waited, and waited some more…and they never did anything? And then, when they finally did do something, it was the wrong thing? Well, sorry to say, that I have been in that position. Moreover, I’ve been in that…

Why the UN Arms Trade Treaty Violates the Constitution
The UN Arms Trade Treaty should alarm any liberty-loving citizen. Every UN treaty requires the participating country to turn over its sovereignty regarding that particular issue. An agreement with the UN removes the autonomy of the nation and the independence of the people to make their own laws free of UN control and dictate. …

On the Brink of the Socialist Abyss
By Craig Andresen on July 25, 2012 at 7:13 am
Just one week shy of the proposed signing of a “treaty” with the United Nations which would cede our 2nd Amendment rights to foreign countries like Iran, we had a mass killing in Aurora Colorado.
The rebuke by liberals was easy to predict.
It’s the guns they tell us. It’s the bullets.
We need stricter gun laws. We need…

Election 2012 – Don’t Tap Dance in the Mine Field
By Craig Andresen on July 22, 2012 at 6:43 am
When it comes to this election, the most important election since 1860, far too many conservatives are asking the wrong questions or, I believe, taking the wrong stance.
It’s a problem born of far too many years and decades of complacency.
It’s exactly what liberals have been laying the groundwork for throughout those years and…

Today’s Obamacare Headlines Are GROSSLY Misleading
By Craig Andresen on July 12, 2012 at 7:36 am
Yesterday, in the House, yet another vote to repeal Obamacare was held. It was the 33rd time such a vote was taken in the House since the passage of the bill nobody could know what was in until they passed it.
33 times in the house.
How many times has this been debated in the Senate?
Zero.
That’s because Harry Reid, just as…

From WHERE did the Obamacare TAX Come…EXACTLY??
By Craig Andresen on June 30, 2012 at 7:55 am
Well…He tried, didn’t he?
The EMPEROR tried and tried and TRIED to convince us all that Obamacare was NOT a tax.
He said it and said it.
The EMPEROR told us it wasn’t a tax and he told us and TOLD us that under Obamacare…NOBODY would be taxed a SINGLE DIME.
The EMPEROR started telling us that the day he started the process and he KEPT telling us that it was not a tax right up to the very day his…

The "I Won't Vote For Romney" Conservative
How many of you have heard someone say, “If Mitt Romney wins the primary, I won’t vote for him. I’ll just sit out the next election”? I’ve seen it at least once in print since I started visiting this site a week or so ago.
Well, most of the rest of us wanted a conservative, too. But, this time around, we lost. When we were on a sports or other competitive team in school or after school, when we lost a game, did we respond by quitting? I don’t think so! We went out for…

The Palin Effect Felt in Nebraska
By Craig Andresen on May 17, 2012 at 6:18 am
Reports of the death of the Tea Party have been greatly exaggerated.
One can easily suspect 3 things.
1) Nobody who ascribes to the Tea Party values ever thought they were dead.
2) Liberals knew the Tea Party wasn’t dead but they were hoping beyond hope against another shellacking in November.
3) The Republican…

Now the Senate Majority Leader has appointed his 3 members of the super-committee which was created as a result of the debt deal. The SC is made up of a total of 12 members and they must find at least $1.2 T in cuts to spending, reforming entitlement programs or tax increases. They have until Thanksgiving to do so. If they fail, an across-the-board cut occurs within our Federal Government. However, dozens of programs are exempted from the cutting knife. The 3…

GradeGov membership as of July 31 DEM/INDEP=44% GOP=54%
Happy Sunday! The White House, Sen. McConnell and the Speaker of House are very close to a deal that will start in the Senate as early as mid-afternoon today if in fact the Speaker can get an OK from his side of the Capitol. The basics are:
-$2.8 T increase in the debt thru 2013
--Cuts adding up to $1 T and hoping for an add'l $1.8T found by the super-committee
--No tax increases…

As the hours pass and the Asian markets begin to open by early Sunday evening, the Speaker of the House has taken the reigns and is asking for a debt deal at least in outline form by 4pm today. The House GOP will be asked to attend a 4:30 call-in conference call and the Speaker hopes to hold a presser by early Sunday evening, presumably to announce a deal. This is an effort to…

The House comes off a one week recess period last week to resume the Department of Defense appropriations bill when they reconvene on Wednesday, July 6. The House may also pass the Energy and Water appropriations bill before the week ends for members of the House. Once the House passes the two appropriations bills that will bring the number to five completed appropriations bills. This means the House is almost half way through passing all twelve appropriations bills. Once all twelve…

The Senate will begin consideration of the Federal Aviation admin. Reauthorization bill later today. This agency has been working off of multiple extensions for the last couple of years. Congress has been unable to fully reauthorize this agency because of issues dealing with pilot's flight time and funding levels. The Senate Majority Leader has indicated that he will allow this bill to be debated in an open fashion which means he will allow amendments to be offered…
