Mark Sanford: Embezzler, Adulterer, TEA Party Hero????

I received this message in an e-mail from The TEA Party Express and was appalled at what I read.

First Tea Party Victory of the 2014 Cycle

Tea Party Express, the nation's largest Tea Party political action committee, congratulates Mark Sanford on his election victory tonight.

Sanford, a Republican, defeated Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch by a 54 percent to 45 percent margin in the 1st Congressional…

California and Atlantis

Could these people possibly do a worse job of running California than the State Legislature?  I can't see how it would be possible.  Chances are they'd do better purely by accident.…

The Need For Congressional Accountability

Supposedly our elected representatives in the US Congress are accountable to us.  In the case of House members, that’s every two years when they run for re-election.  In the instance of Senators, they become accountable every six years.

That’s nowhere near enough accountability.  Two centuries ago that was okay.  Today it is unacceptable.  Things happen too fast.

When we elect these people to office, they are sent to Washington to do a job for us. …

Obama Refuses to Obey Court Order's

I

It is time to act with extreme prejudice and with a peaceful show of force. He is pulling a Adolf Hitler. We need to forget the rule of law, and do what our founder would have done, march armed on Washington for one and only one peaceful demonstration. After that, well you go quietly in the night, I won't.

This Tea Party Nation, better be ready to…

Beware The Underlying Premise

In the things that we see and hear, in news and commentary, we must be very careful to process the information that we get in terms of the underlying premises. In evaluating information, there is always an underlying premise which, in order to form an opinion in the discussion, must be taken as a given fact. For example, this or that politician may open a discussion as to the best way to provide a “pathway to citizenship” for illegal aliens. The underlying premise…

What Have The Actions Of The GOP Told You?

We have a president who has told us that he’s a progressive socialist. He has all along used his office and his cabinet illegally and it is likely, if not certain, that he is not a natural-born US citizen. He has told us that it’s his intention to ignore the second amendment, to disarm the military, enter us into economy-killing treaties and refuses to terminate a Secretary of State who has shown herself to be utterly unqualified for the position, even unto the deaths of several Americans as…

THIRD PARTY ANYONE?

The third party prospect is a loser. Americans have proven over time that they just aren't interested. Oh, wait... Americans are interested, but they just won't join a third party. Constitution, Green, Independent parties - None of them fly. Perhaps it's because none of them have ever put up a…

Further To “The Republican War On The Republican Base

If you haven’t read Judson’s article, titled above in quotes, it should be mandatory reading for conservatives. It states the case well, pointing out obliquely why it’s unlikely that the great majority of Republicans, conservatives,  will hold sway in that party. Conservatives are by far the majority of Republicans, yet a minority of influential quasi-Democrats have an iron grip on party policy.

The article refers to a story…

A third choice: The Jeffersonian Party

The Democratic and Republican parties have both led America into more government, more foreign intervention, more broken promises and more debt.  None of the current political organizations provide a solution to our nations problems.  My studies of the policies and politics of the original republican party of Thomas Jefferson show the right direction.

"No man has a natural right to commit aggression on the…

How Do You Like The GOP Now?

Today, Rush Limbaugh suggested many things might happen. The most riveting is that based on statements made by Biden, Obama might use an executive order to confiscate our firearms, the second amendment notwithstanding. Of course, we know, as Obama surely does, that it will then be challenged in court and years from now this liberal Supreme Court will uphold the order. Limbaugh in another segment mentioned that gay marriage is happening or being planned for the national cathedral and will be…

If You Keep Doing Things The Same Way, But Expect A Different Result…

Remember when you were learning to tie your shoes? Probably not, but you might remember learning something else. What did you do? Sometimes you got it right the first time and most often, you had to try a few times before you got it right. In doing so, you had various outcomes, most of them wrong, until you found the right combination. Later, after you had mastered the procedure, oftentimes you discovered that there was actually a better way to achieve the desired end. Sometimes this was…

Rule Change

The Republican Party elected members to congress presently decide for themselves how they will vote on any legislation. They may get advice from any number of sources, but it is their call how they will vote. This represents a lot of power invested in the one individual. Let’s see how they were elected in the first place.

As they campaign, they tell us what they intend to do if and when elected. That’s it. There’s no contract with us, the people who elect them. There is no guarantee…

Organization Analysis and Work Orientation

Following is a white paper that tea party members and leaders can use to hone their organizational and leadership skills.  I hope you find it helpful.

Executive and management skills are often viewed exclusively as talents, things that some people just do naturally.  But they are skills and anyone can increase their abilities to lead, manage and produce with a little effort.  All organizational and individual efforts require 3 fundamental…

Party Basics – Separation of Powers

Facing grave danger to the republic, we have to think like founders in the construction of a new party. As a part of that thinking, we have to think of a separation of powers within the party. We also have to account for the way people behave when they vote for political figures so that we can win elections.

De-focus the elected individual, focus on party

Our politics has become based on “personalities”. That is, someone from one of the parties is elected and…

The Tail Wags The Dog

Here’s how the GOP makes policy in Washington: Senator McCain decides on his own that he wants to limit campaign speech, so together with Democrat Senator Feingold, sponsors a bill which passes to limit that speech. President Bush decides, on his own, that he won’t veto that bill.

On their own, aided by the votes they got from among 545 or so other members of congress, they have just made law for 300 million people.

On his own, President Bush decides to allow Senator Kennedy to…

Draft Conservative Agenda

The idea here is to hit on core points most -- not necessarily all -- conservatives can agree on, without going into special interest areas or "single-issue" appeasement at all.  We should be able to unify under these basic goals:

JOB 1:  Get a conservative president elected who will reverse all President Obama's executive orders upon his inauguration.

Economy – short term

1. Significant…

Changing The Game-Changers

Judson Phillips noted the following in a fundraiser email he sent out today:

The end of this year has been a shocking end for conservatives. We fought to get Republicans elected to the Presidency, the Senate and the House. We expected fights from the left. The fight we face now is totally unexpected.

Instead of showing gratitude for all the Tea Party movement did for the Republican Party, the Establishment thanked us by changing the Rules at the Republican National…

Still Think We Should Work Conservatism Within the GOP?

Here you are, ladies and gentlemen: this is the reason, encapsulated in a single action, why we must replace the GOP. Please note that I’m not calling for a “third” party, but rather a “replacement” party.

Everything the Republican Party did wrong!

Often I find that the adventure into the parallel universe of cultural communism—or aka the Democratic Party mind set—is so far from reality; it’s difficult to even comprehend what they are talking about. How a group of people live in their own envisage of reality—without ever seeing reality—is something to behold.

What is interesting was this article by “The Washington Post” that outlines everything the Republican Party did wrong—only they took the wrong result from each of the…
